Good morning I slept later than usually today maybe the time change is finally resetting my internal clock.
I will do some cleaning today I will start with Kens office closet. It has stuff in it that has been there for 20 yrs..time to decide what to do with it..It also is home to my collection of purses I never use...so they will be donated. After that I might just go into the sewing room and see what I can get into ,,I still need to finish the country road binding and label.. might get that going today, ( notice i didnt say finished).
Supper tonight might be spagetti as Ken changed his mind and had beef stew yesterday, we shall see.
Tomorrow afternoon I go to see an elec trophysiologist who is a heart dr that specialiszes in the eletrically part of your heart, Im not sure what he will recommend,,I wore the heart monitor fr a month and the resulrs were 11 episodes of rapid heart rate,,, there is a fix for it called an ablation so I will see what he says,,,,the monitor also said I did NOT have atrial fib which has been on my chart for years,,,,that also is a good thing,
well thats all that is new here,,
yesterday I pulled out all mt perl cotton which is what is used in the embroidery quilt...I did a test sample and it looks pretty good. the down side of this quilt is it is Y seams and that will be a challenge for me...but like Mary and her new York Beauty,,,always up for new things,,
Hope you are all looking for new things..XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Morning
Maryq, the filling I buy isn't amish per say, they just carry it. It's a commercial prepared filling in long squeeze tubes sold to bakeries & cake decorating supply stores. The market I go to is the only one out here that carries it. I also bought strawberry, blackberry, raspberry, & black raspberry filling.
Yesterday went well. My new glasses will be ready on the 25th. Seed store was fun but the road was unpaved...should have taken the truck.
Today Joe dropping tree at kids house..I'm on call for clean up help...I'm tired already and still in jammies!

Good morning,

I'm late today. Scottie had a bad night. He got away from us yesterday and we have no idea where he went but he was gone for at least an hour. And he probably found something to eat that he shouldn't have because eating nasty things is his "jam". He fussed and whined most of the night. Bill took him out at 1am and after that I couldn't sleep. I moved to the big chair, had some Sleepytime tea and read a book until I dozed. At 5am Scott upchucked and then I took him outside again. Now he doesn't want his breakfast. Arghh.. Sometimes I don't know why I love this dog so much. But he's not going outside unleashed again, that's for sure.

JUDI - good for you! Purge that closet! I should do the closet in Bill's office, too. Forgot about that. :( We have 3 big boxes that went to Goodwill, 1 big box went into the mail, and two big bags of clothes went to Lori Across The Road. I probably have more to get rid of, but I'm DONE cleaning! It won't take you long to get that binding done. Here, it's just a matter of doing it. Sometimes I just can't make myself until one day I give myself a good talking to, promise myself a reward, and then, if it's a good enough reward, I might do it! Glad you tested your Perl threads. About 15 yrs ago I embroidered an entire quilt of old world Santas all in redwork. And the thread bled!! I was not a happy embroiderer! I did a lot of soaking those blocks in cold water.

LOIS - I believe you mis-spoke - it's INFLUENCER, not Instigator. I know that's what you meant to say. And remember, I'm here to help! :D I'll see you at the chiro this morning at 9!

FLO - what are you working on in your sewing lessons for your friend? Sorry for the bumpy ride yesterday. How many miles of gravel did you have to drive? But the seed store must have been kind of fun, right?

JANA - the excitement never stops at your house, does it. Did you finish your skinnie? And let's get that JN quilt back out and put it together. I wanna see it!

LORI - If I'm at Costco when I need eggs, I buy them there, but I prefer to get the cage-free eggs at regular grocery. I like to think the chickens get to enjoy a real life.

MARY Q - Sorry you don't like lima beans. Bill doesn't either. I really like all veggies (except beets, of course. No one likes beets!) But limas in all their forms are my very favorite. I love blue cheese on burgers, too. Sometimes I just use BC dressing instead of relish or mustard. Thrift shops are great places to pick up baby/toddler/kid clothes. They grow out of them so fast that it seems a waste of money to buy things that only get worn a few times. The A's love it when I send a box of little outfits. And hey! Just this minute AAA insurance agent finally responded re our accident in Texas last Dec 13. Asked if we need a rental. hahaha! Better late than never, I guess. This is the first contact we've had from them. Our truck still isn't repaired because AAA hasn't returned any calls from us, our insurance, our repair shop, or my chiropractor. I guess they have 90 days to respond to an accident. It's been 88 days. Did you finish your little girl quilt yesterday?

LYN - I hope the tire is repairable. We go to Discount Tire, too, and always get the road hazard certificates which replace a tire if it's not repairable. D. T. has always been good to us and they are everywhere which is great for us travelers. I don't do the shop hops anymore. Just about all the LQSs within a travelable distance have closed. And since I really need nothing - I skip them now. But they were fun when we had more shops.

VAL - another 36 hours and you'll be DONE!! You can put your feet up, make a cup of your favorite celebratory tea, and breathe out a big Aahhhhhhh..... Congratulations! I would have said a glass of champagne, but since I know you don't drink, I'll have one for you because that's just the kind of friend I am. :D I Googled your quilt again. I don't know - I think your MC looks more difficult than my NYB blocks.

Yesterday I finished my cleaning frenzy! Yay!! And I decided I needed a reward so I made an appointment for a mani-pedi on Saturday, followed by a hair trim. Bill said he wants a pedi, too, so we're going to make it a date. I had time to do two more NYB blocks and prep a third one for today. Also on today's docket is to take inventory of my pantry, get it organized, and make a list of anything I need to buy. I'll also do the same with the trailer pantry. We try to keep it stocked with about a week of food, water, clothes, and pet food. It's our "emergency kit". So, that's my plan - a nice easy day. Oh - and maybe plan a baby quilt - my walking buddy, Lori, just found out she is expecting her first grandbaby Nov 7.

Make it a great day!

I have a class this morning, so no time to chat.

Maryz, David Owen Hastings is from Sequim Washington. Is that near you? He shared pictures of where he lived, and they were beautiful.

Good morning!

Rinse and repeat weather for another day or too. Then more rain, and then back to nice. My front planter boxes are very grateful for this drink, as my daffodils are starting to peek up through the dirt.

We start up the Wednesday PT today. Time is a bit later in the afternoon, now right in the middle of the day, so jumbled plans. I will work on OWL and finish up the two current blocks I am doing. That makes me halfway done! It's also time for me again to lay out the meds for the next two weeks. And do the laundry too.

No extra curricular excitement.

Off to get my day going,
Hugs,
Jana

Sunny and breezy, maybe hit 78° later.

Valerie, Your MC is wonderful. Pat yourself on the back from me. Garry likes MC design, but I don't think it's on my list.

Jana, Thanks for the info on the quilt pattern. I will get on my laptop and try downloading it.

Yesterday I decided I should see the Chiropractor while I was in Portland for the tire. He's very good and explains why he's adjusting what he is. Happy to say, I feel better today. As for the tire, the nail was too close to the edge and I had to get a new one. I made sure I bought the warranty for replacement last July in Oregon when I had to get all new tires. We've used Discount Tire forever.

Today is beading. I better get moving, they gather at 10.

Have a Blest day.
Lyn

Happy Hump Day! We will see if Sears can show up today. They are once again scheduled from 8 - 12. I plan to call at 8 just to give them a friendly reminder LOL!

I have one patient today and then that is it. My Thursday patient went back to the hospital. I went ahead and scheduled an Open Sew for tomorrow. I can cancel if something comes up.

Maryz hoping Scottie will be alright. Gee he could have gotten ahold of almost anything. I cannot tell you the number of times I thought to myself "I should just do the Summer on the Delta quilt", yes the NYB block is so much easier. I don't know why I was so scared of it. Lession learned. Yes please, have that drink of Champagne for me. And yes your are right, I do not drink ever. My husband comes from a family of alcoholics and I just don't want to be like that. But I can offer you a soda, cup of tea, bottled water, etc.

Thank you all on your positive comments regarding my block. This is the most stressed I have been in my 20 years of quilting. I have informed DH he can never pick out another pattern/quilt for me to make.

Lois I found a squirrel in my sewing room too and now I have that same pattern. What are we to do with Maryz!

Judi I try and try to sleep but doesn't happen. Maybe if I get that CPAP it will help. If you run out of stuff to clean, I have plenty. I think I will take a few days to myself and then start next week getting ready for the fishing trip and seeing what I can purge.

Flo I have been up since 4 am and still in Jammies. I will get dressed soon just in case Sears finds my house.

I'm back, had to go see what the noise was outside. Neighbor getting another delivery. She gets them all the time. I don't know what it is. I should peek but it's light rain so will stay indoors. She is the cutest little lady. She has lived next door to me since 1998 but only speaks Korean. My Korean is pretty bad to non existant so we have never really spoke. He children do speak English though so we can communicate.

Lyn good luck with the tire. We go to a place called Wheel Works. I have not had a problem with them. Sometimes I have to wait overnight if I need a new tire but that's it. The sad part about my MC block, I have to get through 3 more for the quilt!

Well I best get ready for the day, almost time to call Sears. Have a great day evereyone.

Good morning. It's going to be a great day today.

Dad called, he is coming here with a torch of some kind and going to show me how to really start a burn pile. But it's also supposed to rain. Personally, I think the burining can wait but don't know how many burn days are left this year. Guess my going into town to clean his house won't happen today.

I think my dad is wonderful, but when I tell him my plans he often changes my direction and has ideas of his own. He really is the best.

Lois, yay for finding a fun pattern. I'll have to go see what MZ has mentioned. Yep, she can be trouble, in a good way, she has instigated me a time or two.

Judi, I have also been sleeping in lately. Hoping to go back to my old routine of up by 6am instead of up to an hour later. Yay for no Afib. hope they figure you out at your doctor appointment. I also have a purse collection, mine includes totes of all sizes.

Flo, seeds are in my near future. I still need to get dirt to fill my boxes, but no planting can be done just yet. What are you planting?

Maryz, I sure don't like beets. they taste like dirt. I can do lima beans but they aren't my first pick. I also don't do shop hops because the ones around here are so far apart. It's just not worth it. Sorry Scotty isn't feeling great. Moose also eats strange things. Mostly frogs because there seem to be a lot of them around here. yuck.

Jana, Yay for a no excitement day. My plans got jumbled today too, but my one load of laundry is done and when I am done here I will put it away.

Lyn, glad the chiro made you feel better. Also glad the tire issue is resolved.

Valerie, sorry your last patient is in the hospital, but glad you get to be retired after today. woo hoo, it's good to be you. I love my CPAP. It took some getting used to but once I learned to sleep with it on I could tell the difference, it saved me. Hope it does the same for you. Also hope Sears shows up.

I hear my neighbor weed eating. He is a gardener and must have no work to do with the rain coming. It would be so nice if he, out of the goodness of his heart, decided to do the strip along my fence. I kind of think the weeds need to be knocked down before the weed killer works. The strip down the middle of my gravel driveway doesn't look dead yet.

My phone and internet should arrive from Verizon today. it will be interesting setting that up, but I can do it. Amazing the things that a person can do on their own when they have to.

If dad shows up there won't be anything else needing to be done for today. Perhaps I will load my car for the thrift store,

If I don't go to the grocery store dinner won't be a salad. I'll come up with something. Just not sure what that will be yet.

You all have a fun day

Good morning All

Looks like another nice day!!! I'll take it!!!

Lois...You have squirrels at your house too!? You should see what they have done to my house. There's a long list of little projects they have started here and there! It's a good thing I never eat at my dining room table, as it's covered in fabric with my little featherweight set up. I leave it there just in case I want to sew a few stitches while I'm fixing dinner!!

Judi... When you do embroidery with pearle cotton, is that where you do all the fancy stiches? I think I've seen some of that done on YouTube and it's beautiful. I just do the plain old stuff, preferably on color coordinated pre printed things! Have you ever done needle point? I'd like to try that someday. Years ago there was a kit for the Pharmacy 8c postage stamp in needle point--I wish I would have bought it then! I'd love to stitch that. (OH my gosh, I just found one on Ebay! and I bought it!!--now I'll have to watch YouTube so I can learn how to do needlepoint!)

Flo... Having apple filling come in a tube sure would be convenient! You used to do a lot of cake decorating didn't you. Man I love cake!!

Maryz... Gosh I hope Scottie is okay today!!! Zara got into something in their garage and ate a tiny piece of rat poison!!! She seems to be ok tho and just as goofy as ever! She goes crazy when I go visit! FINALLY you are getting something from AAA! That's just crazy. I have a love/hate relationship with insurance company--car and health ins. They love to wait until the very LAST minute to pay a claim! Yes, baby girl quilt is done. I hope she likes it because I don't! I should have read the directions instead of just looking at the picture. It turned out a "baby" size rather than "crib" which is what I meant, but no big deal. I can make another one later. If Katie and I go to the fabric warehouse, and IF I see some fabric that jumps out at me, maybe I'll start over.

Jana.... Your weather sounds like our... nice, warm then cool, then wet, then nice, then snow then nice! Mother Nature seems to be on her annual crack binge! I tried to google that quilt pattern... is it Autumn DANCE or Autumn WALTZ? Can you share a link to it. Not that I need another squirrel around here!!

Lyn....Sometimes it's a darn good thing to have those extra warranties!! I don't usually get them, but it turned out to be a good thing to have on my phone --- got a new re-firb one free when my battery went ka-put!

Valerie... Your MC is beautiful!!! You are way braver than I am to even attempt one!! Hope Sears shows up today! I hate waiting around for folks to show up! TWO MORE DAYS!!! Yeah!!!

Chriss... Pointer fixed!!! Now you can really play around with your new computer and get it set up the way you want. Did yours come with Microsoft Word etc? And One Drive!!? I hate hate hate One Drive. I did download the program Lyn mentioned a while back and it seems to work just fine!

Guess I better get finished getting ready to go. Katie and I are going to go volunteer with a project that Katie found. We sewed a bunch a bags and are going help fill them. Not sure what it's called, but they get seniors involved in activities. For example, I think we will be filling these bags with a "Birthday kit" for food shelves---including cake mix, frosting etc. They also put together some kind of comfort kit for Police Officers to have on hand when they encounter a child in an icky situation--not sure what's in those bags---we did sew a bunch of little draw string bags for that project. Like I told my kids---these kinds of things, keep me out of the bars!!

And... my coffee is cold!

wishing you all a wonderful Wednesday!
