Good morning,

Judi I guess your determined to get out I hope you find some treasures today.
Today Bill has to go to the chiropractor he has had a bum back all weekend so that's where we will go.
I used my new iron and I really like it but I'm not sewing anything yet.
I ordered stencil on a roll it's hearts so when I get it I might venture up and see if I can set up my Lazer and see if I can do this it's 6" but if not that will get put away  .

Well it's almost time to leave so I hope you all have a great day.
Prayers go out to all.

Good morning,

JUDI - sorry about the rain, but it's a good chance to do indoor stuff. Unless you have a covered area outside? My sis and I hit a few thrift shops in FL last winter. It's always fun to go to shops in different parts of the country. Hope your cold goes away soon. How long have you had it?

TINA - happy birthday to Kevin. a day late. Today is our ex SIL's (Aaron) birthday, but I guess we don't celebrate that any longer. Is your foot any better? Glad you got to have a nice open-door kind of day. That won't be happening here for a while.

LORI - happy birthday to your step=daughter. Did you go help her celebrate? I'm a list maker, too. I've even made lists of my lists. Lists of supper ideas in the kitchen - regular suppers and company suppers. Lists of quilts I've done and quilts I have to finish and quilts I plan to do. Lists of things to buy, pack, do, and have done. The list goes on . .

MARY Q - Yesterday was your anniversary? I guess we don't celebrate that any longer either. Except you got your kids from your marriage, so maybe there is something to celebrate. My phone doesn't stay charged all day either, but then I'm using it to listen to audio books most of the day so we have chargers all over the house. Yes, thrift stores are a great place to buy books and DVDs. And yes, Amara is a chatterbox sometimes, but most of it is still gibberish. However she gets the hand gestures, inflections, and tone so you can tell that whatever she is saying, she really means it!

CHRISS - I'm sure Pete is as grateful to you for the trees and you are to him for taking the trees! Scottie is a constant source of entertainment around here. We are never bored. But even when he was a puppy, he never chewed and he's never been a digger either. He just goes berzerk over ceiling fans - barking, snarling, lunging. And there is one log sticking out of the ground on the walking trail and he gives that log a good barking to whenever he sees it. Not sure why it's just that one log.

JANA - my sister gave me a sign that says "It's weird being the same age as old people". In a few weeks I'll be the same age as my mom when she died - 74. Boggles my mind. I always thought Mom was old! And my oldest grandson is 31! How do these things happen?? Sorry your ABX is kicking your tushi. I don't react to most meds but large doses of Keflex (an ABX) will have me hanging my head in the toilet. Smaller doses of the same med are OK. Are you taking them with food? When is your appt with the oral surgeon?

LOIS - I send my empathies to your Bill on his back pain. Hope the chiro has him up and doing chores tomorrow! Have fun with your new pattern. I assume it's a quilting pattern? Remember, hardly anything is purrfect the first time we try it, but practice makes purrfect!

Yesterday I got NYB #11 finished and #12 ready to go today. Bill quilted Twilight Creatures for me so I took a break from NY and got the binding done on that. I only have one more quilt in the QQ (Quilting Queue) - my Grandmother's Flower Garden hexie quilt that I finished last fall. It's still waiting its turn but I don't think we have enough batting left to do that one. We need to order a new bolt. I still have a few quilts I made while in TX that I need to assemble. The blocks are done but not together yet. They are all on The Sewing Room To Be Finished List. This morning is chiropractor, then a quick stop at the grocery store, then home to the sewing room. I have a few odds and ends of things to do around the house but after that I get to sew.

Wishing us all good weather, good health, and good times!

Good morning everyone 🌞
Judi, I sure hope that cold leaves you soon, feel better quick! Enjoy your thrifty run.
Lois, I hope the chiropractor fixes Bill up and he's as good as new before long.
Maryz, sadly no my foot isn't any better, I just keep doing what I can and get through another day. Hmmm I'm trying to remember your Grandmother's Flower Garden quilt..... I'm coming up blank....did you post pics? I think we're supposed to have another nice day today.
Lyn, glad you made it safe and sound.
I'm debating whether to do the laundry today or wait till tomorrow. I'll probably start another book today. I'm going to try to do a little more quilting, it's slow but I'm getting some done at least. Supper will be cheese enchiladas (red) probably with an egg.
You all have a great day!
Prayers for all in need 🙏

I'm now caught up on everyone.

Chriss, MaryQ and anyone else who doesn't want or like Microsoft office, there's another choice. Even before Microsoft started charging a yearly fee, a friend told us about LibreOffice. We have used it for years. It's free, they do like donations but not required. It has all the stuff Microsoft does, word documents, spread sheets, etc. I have been able to open old Microsoft documents and save to Libre. MaryQ, you could do that and then you won't need the cloud.

Only warming to 66° today. I woke up to find Minnie not in bed. She has steps to get down and she was getting her morning vitamin D laying on her bed on the dash. It's her favorite spot in the MH.

Good morning, another Monday roles around. Tonight is the first class of my Mariners Compass class at the Dixon shop. It has 4 Mariner's Compasses and the rest is partial log cabins. There are 3 classes and if we get the quilt done by April 25 they will quilt it for $75 which is half price. I will see. Still trying to the binding joined on the Owl quilt so I can start stitching the back. Supposed to go to MAD Monday at Vacatille shop but that's a full 6 hours and I don't think my back will do that and then another 3 hour class after.

DD ended up not coming yesterday. She changed it to Thursday. I did get some cleaning done in the living room and partially the back bedroom. Husband texted and said he was working late so that left me in charge for dinner. So I did cook dinner, roast, roasted potatos and zucchini. This morning I am stitching a bit on my Gem Tones blocks while I wait for it to warm up a bit so I can go walk. I didn't go yesterday cuz the weather man was wrong and it was cloudy and looked like rain most of the day. Cloudy today too but doesn't look like rain.

Judi I love thrift shops. Don't always buy but you never know what you will find. I did spend $4 on a sauce pot by Rachel Ray. It retails for about $40 so I think that was a good buy.

Lois glad you got a chance to try out the new iron. I hav enot gotten to try my laser yet but soon I hope.

Maryz I really need to start making a list too. I have such good plans and most of the time they fall through. One more month of work! I really can't wait. Scottie sounds like a lot of fun. I often think about a pet but there is so much more that goes along with that.

Lyn looked up Aranas Pass, it looks like a nice place to live. Looks like some nice weather coming up. We will (well maybe) get to 61 today. Cloudy all day with minor chances of rain. Like less than 10%. I have never heard of Libre, will need to look into that. So far Microsoft hasn't asked me for any money.

Tina I vote for delaying the laundry and sitting with a good book.

Well I want to get one block done (20 inch blocks) so need to get back to the machine. Then to walk and then to Barnes and Noble for current APQ magazine. The next blocks in the Gem Tones quilt is Topaz. I also need to figure out what color Topaz is.

Have a great day
A Friend is God's way of making sure we never walk alone!

Good morning Girls

Here we are ... Monday again! Where did last week go?

Judi... Bummer that you have a cold while on vacation! Maybe the temp changes? That's usually when I get a cold... when the temp changes from warm summer days to cold winter days or vice-versa. Nobody wants to go to Goodwill with you? There's a Vincent DePaul store about 3 blocks from my house and I've never gone in there to shop, only dropped things off.

Lois... You got a lazer light for your Gracie frame? Will you be able to use Panto's then? Hope the Chiro can help Bill out today. I've never gone to a chiropractor, but am seriously considering it as I'm having trouble with my neck.. hard to turn it when I've driving!

Maryz... Yup, yesterday would have been 52 years! It's all ok tho, I have no regrets, we had some very happy times and I have awesome kids. If I think about it, I choose to think about the good stuff and not the bad stuff! Every once in a while I see little videos on Facebook with little ones just chattering away and they crack me up every time!! Holy Moly Drew/Alec are 31!!!

Tina.... Save the laundry for tomorrow and I'll join you as I think my hamper is probably going to overflow! Sorry about your foot!!!

Lyn... Thanks for the info on Libreoffice!! I'll check it out. I was talking to Shawn about it last night and he might look at computer one of these days. Maybe it's because I'm old and cranky that I think it's silly to have to pay for a computer program every year--like $100!!! I think Bill Gates decided he needed a raise or something, that you have to do this instead of just buying a program out right.

Valerie... You are counting the days!!! One more month and you'll be officially retired? No more traveling for home health care? You can stay home full time!! It's the best feeling in the world, not having to get up and out in the morning. When I retired, the first week or two felt like I was on vacation! It was January, which meant snow storms and I was so very grateful I didn't have to drive in snow storms for work anymore!! Topaz is a gold color. November birth stone. My least favorite! SO I have 2 babies born in November and my birthday is November--I have an very ugly mother's ring!

Chriss. Did you get a Dell Laptop? It will take a little bit to get everything moved over, but there is an easy way. There's a program called "worm hole" and with a USB cable you can connect the 2 computers and just drag/drop from old computer to new. I keep my old computer because it does have programs on it that won't work in the new one. Jen and David bought me my Microsoft surface and it works pretty well. No computers have CD drives anyway, so I had to get an external drive for that and for old fashioned 3x5 floppy disks. I have a bazillion photos on floppy disks!

Oh dear, coffee is cold and I better get butt in gear. Need to do a little shine up then decide which project to do today. Might bring out the baby girl quilt and since I have the required fabric I think I'll get borders on it. Am debating if I should try to quilt myself, or wait for Viv. Need to have it ready for baby shower in April!

Wishing you all a Marvelous Monday

Good morning. We should see the mid 60's today but with the rain looking clouds in the sky I am not sure I believe it. Load two is in the dryer and my tree guy should be here soon. I'm dressed and ready to go for the morning's walk with my girlfriend.

Maryq, did you get those shoes? Did you find a phone to your liking? I keep getting texts or emails telling that Verizon wants to give me a new phone and all I have to do is upgrade my plan. Now why would I want to go from my cheapie plan to one that costs $30 more?

Lori, I also had my windows open all day. And after my walk I will open up the house for today. I'd like to go into town and get a hair cut, but that can wait. How was the birthday at Bill's daughters? Was there cake? I love cake.

Judi, I'd go to the thrift store with you. On the 27th they are sutting off the power in this area to work on it. I was thinking that would be the perfect go to the thrift store day. Hope you get to sounding better soon, if you keep sounding terrible your roommates might avoid you all together, then where would you be? snuggled in a chair with a quilt, slippers and a good book? Who wants that, ha ha

Lois, isn't loving your iron a wonderful thing.? I used mine yesterday suggested by one of the Mary's, I love it. Hope the chiro does the trick and DH is back to where he should be

Maryz, yay for getting another block done. I wish you could see Pete's yard. He has property like mine and in it are cords of wood, maybe 20 or more of them, it's almost like a corn maze. He makes a few extra dollars by selling it. I remember Scottie barking at the ceiling fan here, looks like we both have a couple of goofball dogs.

Lyn, always good to make it safe and sound. Enjoy your time at the coast and enjoy your lunch out. I've not heard of Libre. My dad has MS office and so does my son, they have so many open spaces and on this computer I am using my sons but the new computer I might use my dad's. I'm not real savy on the cloud, but will learn.

Tina, my grandma used to make cheese enchiladas. they had onion an were in a corn tortilla. I loved them. Good memory. I make my enchiladas with ground beef in a flour tortilla but love to fry one in a pan and add a fried egg to the top. yum. What is the next step in your foot issue?

Valerie, Mad monday sounds like a very long day. I've not done very many larger than 12 inch blocks, they intimidate me. Not sure why.

Maryq, I will look into worm hole, but will probably put my pictures and other things on a flashdrive, or two. Most of the documents and things on my computer haven't been looked at in forever. My dad offered me a Surface but it only had a 13 inch screen, too small so yes, I bought a Dell.

Perfect timing. Just heard the dryer buzz, and it's time to go walk.

Dinner tonight will be a bacon cheeseburger with grilled onions and the mock potato salad I made with cauliflower.

Hope today is the best day ever
Chriss
