I have lots to share. Sorry. But you guys are all my "share buddies" - so get your coffee and get comfy!!
Item #1 - Today is the last of my three quilt classes. We're going to work on finishing our star blocks for those who haven't yet, adding borders, quilting, and binding. I already know next year - and yep, it looks like I'm going to do this again next year - we'll do just ONE block instead of three and we'll call it a small table topper, large mug rug, or wall hanging. Maybe 16" square? I'm taking ideas, suggestions, advice for next year if you have any. I'm making a list, and plan to rock this class next year!
Item #2 - my poor Autumn sliced the tip of her finger off!! All dermal layers down to her "Inner Autumn". (You didn't really want me to day 'meat', did you?) She was trying to peel a sweet potato. Her finger will probably have a slightly irregular look from now on. So today, Pop (that's Bill) went out and bought her some finger bandages and more Neosporin. She is going to need bandages for quite a while. She does a lot of typing in her job.
Item #3 - The Arctic blast that is sweeping the nation is hitting here, too. So, because of the intense cold and possible snow, the entire M.D. Anderson Medical Center in Houston is closing down Jan 21 and 22. Bill's appts are Jan 21 and Jan 22! So his appts have been moved back a week. Then we had to change our rezzie for the RV park in Houston, extend our present stay in Austin, cancel a Feb 6th appt I had at home, let Cindy and Sue know our playdate had changed (and now Sue can't make it), and then tell the A-Team we're here until Jan 26. This means my quilts can hang an extra week at the library!

JUDI - I love yo-yo's, too. They are relaxing to me. I like to use the yo-yo makers so they are all purrfect. I have close to 200 made. You talking about them, and Aut confiscating my YoYo quilt is kind of putting me back in the mood. They are so portable and take little space for traveling. Now I wish I'd brought my yoyo maker and all my scraps! As to names, I love what the littles come up with when naming their grandparents. My kids called my DMIL "Bummer". It was how Lara said Gramma. My mom was Nana. (Nah-nah, not Naa=naa). Both grandpas were Papa. We are Nonnie and Pop - christened by our oldest grandson, Drew. My BFF is "Miama" and remember Georgiapeach (Pam) from years ago? She's Big Mama.
LOIS - My Bill also received that same e-mail supposedly from you. Somewhere, someone has been hacked. I hate that there are so many evil people in the world.

FLO - congrats on making that denim purse! I haven't seen it because I don't do much on FB but I bet it's a beauty. It would be great if you could post it on our forum! I love denim and am almost tempted to try one myself, but not quite.
JANA - Sorry about the lost meter. Is it possible that you could design, make, (and sell and realize your fortune!) a case for that meter so that it could go around with Mr. G? Perhaps cross body design or something that attaches to his suspenders or loops through his belt? You say that the monitor isn't reliable for 12 hours so would it help to make your changes in early morning so the 'bugs' are worked out by bedtime?
VAL - sorry your post went *POOF*! It happens. Just so your playtime doesn't go poof!
LYN - I know Sue loves that same Pecan Coffee. Us - not so much. I hope Garry is doing much better and that he hasn't shared it with you. Glad you remembered, late as it was, to get everything ready for the survey guys.
MARY Q - I lay awake at night thinking of all sorts of things! Depends on what's going on in my life - getting ready to travel, company, holidays, happy dates, sad dates, quilting, family drama, shopping, etc. Back in my dancing days I choreographed entire routines and designed costumes.
TINA! - I'm not a big fan of standing for long periods of time at the LA either. But sometimes I put a project on the frame and do a little just a few minutes at a time over several days in between working on other things. Before long, voila`! it's done!
CHRISS - how was Gramma Thursday? Or is it still going on?
So yesterday was all about Amara. I got her mostly to myself as Pop was busy trying to reschedule our lives. We thought this was going to be our big goodbye, but thanks to Ma Nature, we have another week to play! So today will be my last quilt class. It usually goes for about 3 hours and I'm curious to see if anyone made any progress on their own this week - aka did their homework.

Happy weekend!
