We have a chance of rain all day today, I sure hope we get it.
Lois, how big of quilts are you able to quilt on your frame? It sounds like you took to it like a duck on water🥰
I thought I posted yesterday, guess it was just in my mind 🤷
I have laundry that needs done and bathrooms to clean and general cleaning to do plus I want to get in my sewing room today and clean up some messes.
I hope you all have a great day!
Prayers for those in need 🙏

Good morning and Happy Sunday. Blessings to you all.

Went to quilt class yesterday for Radiant quilt. Got all my blocks done and initial lay out on the wall. I may change a bit of the lay out before I sew it together. I am signed up for Free Sew on the 26th so trying to see all may patients on Monday that week. There is only one that might be a problem with the change. Then I can finish it at Free Sew. I have the 3 day retreat this coming weekend. Going to try and have my GD quilt cut by then. It looks like a simple sew together but it is big so could take a bit. I can then get it quilted and bound in time for her BD in March. Lots of other projects in various stage of completion too.

Maryz glad to hear you got back on the road. Can't wait to see new picks of Kumquat. Wonder if she will remember you? Lina always acts surprised when we show up. Locked out? WTH! Oh this needs to be fixed ASAP.

Becca have a great time at the BD party today. Did you get the baking done?

Judi I have pretty significant GERD and yes, if don't stick to the diet, things can get hairy. Yes, the power of prayer can be awesome! I am hoping Val does good with the new treatment.

Lois I think I am going to hold off on Laundry till tomorrow. I kinda have nothing special I have to do today and would like to keep it that way.

Chriss you will have to post pics when you get all this upgrading done. Yes, you will be the winner of the spoil game. G-ma's always are. You could be right about God, he works in mysterious ways. I have a list for him of people he needs to turn around but I know he has a plan and is busy. Safe travels today and give Elliot a snuggle from me.

Jana where are they camping, oh so cold this time of the year. My GS went once snow camping and decided that was enough for him!

Lyn your flower is really pretty. Is it a difficult process to do this?

Maryq chores done? Can you play today?

Irish I have been told that thread does start to deteriorate after a number of years. I have lots of Mom's old thread but probably wouldn't use it for anything. I think maybe donate it to a place that does crafts with seniors or kids.

Well, think I will go clear off that cutting table and see what I can get done before the back says enough.
Have a wonderful day, stay warm, prayers for all in need

Good morning. Happy Sonday. I get to go see my kids today. it's good to be me. I told my dad I was going to see my son because it was Sonday. He asked when daughter day was. I told him daughters get all the rest of the week.

I sometimes wish I lived closer to the kids, they are just over 2 hours from me. But in reality, I would make a nuisance of myself and probably be banned. While visiting the kids I will take my DIL's mom a sewing machine. Hers died and I have too many.

Dad was here in the afternoon yesterday, he finished two of three of my fans. Monday he will tackle the last one. He has lots of plans for my house, I am grateful. Stepmom and I went for a drive. I know dad comes up here and busy's himself so I can take her away for a little while. She just likes to go for a ride.

Lyn, I love your poinsettia. It's a neat flower. the paint doesn't bleed into the embroidery thread? it's cool. Your bells will be pretty too. I think I will wait on the desk/table until I get my rooms how I want them. but when it's time I will revisit that sew ezi table.

Maryq, how was chore day.? Yes, I will be with the kids on Thanksgiving. Did you get to that table runner? I made 10 inch squares yesterday and will turn them into pinwheels in the coming week.

O'Dorothy, I sometimes buy things at the thriftstore only to donate them back. Our thrift store supports a Christian school and has so many unique things. Glad you found some treasures. How was dinner out with your sister?

Lois, oooohhhh, cranberry orange scones. That sounds drool worthy. I googled A Cozy Christmas Quilt and another movie popped up, The Fabric Of Christmas. I will check out both. I'm so glad that quilting machine is working well for you.

Tina, happy chore day. I hope you get your rain too.

Judi, I'm glad you were able to take your DIL to the airport. And also glad she has a nurse with her. I'm excited to hear about her health improving. A month means she will be home for Christmas. I'm praying her story would make a perfect Hallmark movie, they always have happy endings.

Maryz, I bet the kids will be happy to see you. They will be busy putting their things away in their new home and you and Amara can build a fort with the boxes. Can't wait for the pictures.

Valerie, You are really busy with quilt classes and such. you certainly won't be bored in retirement. I forget, will you completely retire or just giv up one of the jobs? I will add your smooches to mine. Guess I had best start on the chapstick now. I was just thinking too bad my smoocher can't be measured like my phone measures my steps. I will get my allotment of smooches in for sure.

Sharona, how are you?

Looks like no one else is up yet so I will go start my day. Not sure what dinner will be, I still have some meatloaf in the fridge, perhaps I will turn it into big mac salad? You all have a fabulous day.

Good morning!

Sunny, bright and COLD! Last I saw it was 25. I will definitely need my wool dress coat to wear as I go to church this morning. Michael is staying home. Sarah's Ward starts after ours, same building, so she is coming to stay with Michael. No problems, just keeping a eye on him until we know everything is stable and functioning correctly. Stitches are scheduled to be removed on the 20th. We'll know more then. His pacemaker is connected via a radio signal to the Dr office and they monitor that daily.

BYU lost their first game of the season last night. My 49ers play this afternoon, so I'll head down to the Batt Cave and sew. Daniel brought me a project for him. He has some of his old uniform fire patches and a old work fire t-shirt that he wants me to make a pillow with. So I'm in the design phase in my brain on how to do that. This pillow will sit alongside his helmet by his desk at his house. He's eventually going to make a case to hold his regular uniform. His turnout gear is way too bulky, so don't know what he'll do with that. He's basically fully retired from his station as a Captain. The station still has him on their staff, but since he's here, and the station is in California, makes it hard to respond quickly! :)

Time to get dressed for church. Music is fairly easy today, a couple of lesser sung hymns.

Enjoy the day!

Hugs and prayers,
Jana

Overcast morning here.

Judi, Prayers for DDIL. Glad she has a nurse going with her.

The panel I colored with colored pencils and gel pens. Because the outline thread is black you don't see much color on it. I did use gel pen to carefully go over it to hide any little bits of white between stitches. There's usually 2 or more rows of stitches to make the outline really show up. The pencils don't bleed unless you mess up when putting the resin on at the end. The gal called it resin, but I just found it's colorless fabric paint that seals the colors. Its washable. With a little brush, you dab a little resin on the small areas first and let them dry, then move to the bigger areas. It was fun and the only challenge was everyone deciding on what colors they wanted to use. It only took about 3 hours to color. Would have been quicker if colors were decided first. The design came from Embroidery Library. I was looking on YouTube last night and found Crabapple Hill Studio has some videos on this.

Because it's the weekend, I'm going to try and sew or color, after I make a vitamin and supplement order. Running low on some and I want to make up little packs for our trip next week to Kansas.

Have a Blest day.
Lyn

This is the textile medium I've used on colored pencil. It keeps it from bleeding and washing out.
