Rise and shine ladies. I can't believe I'm the first one here.
Dad has a doctors appointment at 8 this morning so I'm up waiting for the coffee.
Have a lovely day.

Good morning and double rats!
I was almost done typing and suddenly my screen was blank. Ctrl Z didn't bring it back this time either. Wonder where it went . . . .
Anyhoo . . .
CHRISS - what's the plan for the day? garage? sewing for Eliott? mopping those floors? In case you need to know, I'll be mopping floors, too.
JANA - just tell Mr. G he can cogitate all he wants about where to put his desk - and when he finally makes up his mind, he can find you at the fabric shop!
LORI - when do you anticipate moving Dad?
FLO - do you freeze eggs in or out of the shell? How many eggs do you get a day?
MARY Q - yes, Cindy was home by 1:30 in the afternoon day of surgery. And she does her own PT exercises at home. I'm curious to see how well this turns out - doing her own exercises as opposed to have "real PT". But she sounds fairly cheerful and is determined to get this right.
SHARONA - Is your internet back yet?
LOIS - Have you got those cats all herded together yet?
JUDI - You'll be home before you know it! If I were there, I'd greet you at the door with a bouquet of flowers and a home-cooked meal. How do you feel about meatloaf?
TINA - are you done cleaning yet? I've got my upstairs nearly finished. Today, I'm moving downstairs.
IRISH - are you at your machine sewing craft fair "fare", or has your sister dragged you off someplace?
BECCA - I hope you are soon able to read this and let us know all is OK.
Yesterday I cleaned the upstairs of the house and rearranged all the furniture. In a split level that's living/dining/kitchen. I still have kitchen floor to do and the bathroom. After I get those chores done, I'll take my cleaning rags and go downstairs (family room/our room/2nd bathroom). Plus, I never got my one load of wash done so I'll be doing that while I clean. And in fits and spurts, I'm cutting fabric for my quilted Snowman and bagging and tagging the pieces.
We ended up with pork chops and and creamed potatoes & peas for supper last night. Plenty of potatoes left over so I think we'll grill or bake chicken breasts for tonite.
Happy today!

I'm back with a message -
JUDI just texted me. She isn't feeling too hotsy totsy this morning and isn't up to typing a post but asked me to let you all know she's thinking of everyone and says, "hi".
And CINDY is doing well, too, all things considered. Doing her exercises as she should and will see her doctor in 2 weeks.
That's all I've got for now.

Good morning!
Beautiful day here in the mountain west. The trees are dressed in their finest fall frockery. We are in middle of the peak for peeking! And exceptionally warm too.
Mr G has a Dr appointment this morning too. Sarah is taking him. The family Dr is seeing the cognitive decline and is doing some tests. This Dr has old parents, like us, and is also dealing with this issue, so is very alert to these problems. I like that.
Not much else going on here. I got groceries in yesterday. The laundry finished and Yoohoodi run. Most of the fall decorations are out too. I have to wait for Mr G to finish putting the satellite receiver in its final resting place and put the old one in the trash. And rehooking up all the peripherals. Cables every where!
I'll be down in the Batt Cave most of the day. Come join me, I have plenty of room for your machine and you!
Hugs,
Jana

LOIS - glad you got the snowman. It's a big project - 58 page booklet but it doesn't look hard, just time consuming, which is fine. I've been moving a lot slower these days. Also, just so you know and I don't get tapped for not letting you know - if you're interested in Lori Holt's "Scrappiness is Happiness" book, it's on sale today at QIAD for 40% off. Also Halloween clearance stuff.

Re: Wednesday October 2, 2024
Good morning everyone
Maryz, I'm pretty well done at my house with the deep cleaning, this winter on bad weather days we'll go through the filing cabinet and that will be everything done here. Dad's is on hold because his dumpster is still full full, guess his garbage guy only comes every 2 weeks to empty it. We were at Holly's all afternoon till about 8 last night, we went first to check the Christmas decorations that Tractor Supply was supposed to have out but when we got there they were closing the store because their Internet went out..... crazy how we can't shop without Internet. Holly's house is now all Fall decorated, it looks and smells so good. She made us all potato soup last night, it was sooooooo yummy!
Sorry Judi isn't feeling so hotsy totsy.
Jana, we're still too warm for our leaves to start changing but soon, I love Fall. I hope MrG is ok.
Lori, I hope your Dad is ok.
Cindyg, if you're reading I hope you're doing good
Lois, I'll have to see if I ordered that pattern, I can't remember right now. A sew along sounds fun!
Well I've got paperwork covering half my dining room table and need to finish that up today, I have it all sorted and ready to pay bills and balance my checkbook, I threw away a paper sack full of junk mail and those little junk magazines that come all the time in the mail yesterday, they seem to multiply.... just yesterday we got 3 more that went straight to the garbage.
I think supper is going to be clean the fridge out, there's plenty for lunch and supper today and then tomorrow will be new foods.
You all have a great day!
Tina

Hey Girlfriends!
Happy Wednesday! I've actually been up for a while... who could sleep with the racket going on at my house! They are replacing parts of our driveways today, so there is heavy, noisey equipment parked right outside my bedroom window! No big deal... I needed to get up anyway and get on with the day!
Lori.... You must have been up really early!!! Hope Dad's Dr. appointment went well. Is he still on track to move to the care home? Gosh I hope he likes it there and feels comfortable in his new surroundings.
Maryz... Thanks for the update on Cindy! Sorry to hear Judi isn't feeling so hot! I was so hoping that she would feel better and better every day!! Man, you have been working like crazy around that house! I'd love to rearrange a little here too, but there's just no way to make everything work except the way that it is. I even drew out my sewing room to scale and cut out pieces of the desk & cutting table etc to scale to see how I could rearrange the sewing room... not going to work anyway but the way it is!
Jana... Your leaves have turned already? I see a change in the oak tree out my window every day as I sit at my computer. It gets beautiful shades of red and I look forward to seeing it in it's glory, but not seeing all the leaves fall.
Lois... Which Pat Sloan sew-a-long are you going to do? I've been printing out the National Park Patterns, but have forbidden myself from going out to the garage and pulling fabric for it! I'm determined to finish these craft fair items so I can get back to the many UFO's in my sewing room closet!
Today I promised myself that I would run up to Home Depot and procure two new toilets for my house---- doesn't that sound like fun! I'm really wanting to get the hi-rise ones as they are much easier on achy knees!! The decision is.. which one of 3 different HD's do I go to--the one closest to Hobby Lobby, the one closest to Joann or the one closest to Walmart !
That is IF I can get out of my driveway!
For now I'll go put on my public face and then just toss a coin!!
Have a great day everyone!

Re: Wednesday October 2, 2024
Good morning my friends. It's going to be a beautiful day today. The weather person says we will have triple digits the rest of the week and cooling down, that they promised for this week, has been rescheduled for next week. grrrrr.
Yesterday I shopped. Got some things for my bathroom, got some groceries and had a great day.
I'm looking for some "artwork" for my dinning room walls. Nothing fancy. I had bought a really pretty sunflower picture at a yard sale but it's got sort of a blue background, too bright. I'll keep looking.
I'm also looking for rugs for my kitchen. I like those spongy runners and mats. I know they are out there, I will find the perfect ones. I did see a runner on Amazon that I really liked, but it had a white background. White rugs and kitchens just seem like laundry to me.
Today I will put my bathroom together, still need to find stuff to hang on the walls, I think I need to go to a bigger town with bigger stores. Next week that will be my plan.
Lori, I want my cool weather back too. Hope dad's doctor appointment goes well, and hope yours yesterday went well. I go Friday but it's just my yearly checkup.
Maryz, not fair that a bit of cleaning always creeps into our days. I'm trying really hard to keep up with these kitchen floors, they don't get too awfully bad but a weekly sweep and mop is helpful. Lots of little projects going on here today but if the parents come up nothing will get done.
Jana, you said the old satellite was going into the trash. Jerry would have just stored it in the garage with the rest of his junk. Hope the doctor appointment goes well for DH. Sad that the mind has to fail. So many organs last and are productive throughout our lives, no matter what happens they can be tweaked to work, but the brain seems to be unfixable. It just doesn't last as long as it should.
Lois, we should be 103 today, want to trade. I need to pay more attention to the Pat Sloan site, she does some fun things.
Tina, I am slowly going paperless with my bills and they are just being deducted from my account. It's taken me a lot of years to trust this method, but I'm getting there. I love refrigerator pot luck, wish I was there for that. I'm also finding that shopping in stores isn't getting me very far. Frustrating that Amazon is about it.
Maryq, you are funny. Forbidding yourself from pulling fabric. That trick would never work here. I defy myself all the time. You've been doing quite a bit of potty talk lately. Go girl, get yourself some shiny new high rise toilets.
Yesterday evening I decided to empty the ashes of my bbq and noticed that I probably need to put it in the dump pile. It's pretty worn out. It's a webber something Joe and I do like it. But I'm wondering if the table top version would be a wiser choice.
Well Moose is giving me that look, staring me down till I get off my duff and take him outside. You girls have a fun day

Good Day to Everyone.
Prayers for Judi, CindyG, Joe and an overall pray for everyone here.
They're working on the back street here this morning, tar and gravel seal. Luckily a neighbor told me that street work was happening, so I parked the Jeep in the front.
I'm cleaning and packing today. Plan to leave tomorrow for Colorado. We'll spend tomorrow night in Amarillo, which is about half way to Estes Park. Probably have dinner with friends.
My tip for the day, don't wash a rubber backed rug with bathroom rugs that are plush long carpet. The deep plum colored rugs are now full of little tan dots.
I'm washing again, hope it gets the dots out.
