Good morning,

Today will be a few last minute things to get ready for camping - clean veggies for snacking, boil some eggs, make lemon bars, vacuum, and clean bathrooms. And then figure out supper - which will probably be to split a small steak, baked sweet potato, & salad. We won't leave until about noon tomorrow. We can't check into the state park at the ocean until 2:30 and it's a 2-hr drive. This works fine with us - we can watch most of the Seahawks 10:00am game.

LORI - sorry I missed the "Lori does all our laundry" party. I ended up having to do my own. What a pither.

LYN - Did you make it to Hays? Just for funsies, I Googled Sashiko Christmas designs and got flooded with them! Enjoy!

CHRISS - a few more days and you'll have the cleanest garage on the forum! I could hire you to make a garage call, but pretty soon you're going to be on Smooch Detail and probably won't have any free time. Five coffeemakers should hold you for a while. How is Jerry's brother doing since his surgery?

JUDI - it sure is complicated, shopping for a new knee! Hope you got all the visits, phone calls, and paperwork done and you can just sit back and fret. Have you got some good hand projects all lined up? Don't forget to download a few audio books and gather up some paperbacks.

JANA - Have you ever tried dictating your texts and posts instead of one-finger typing on your phone? Just tap that little microphone key and tap it again when finished. You have to dictate in punctuation, too or you'll have one big long run-on sentence. But do proofread. My phone occasionally changes my words to suit itself. Did the office come together yesterday? Setting it all up again to his liking should keep Mr. G out of your hair for a while.

MARY Q - NO, I do NOT watch scary movies! I watched Alfred Hitchcock's "Pscho" about 40 years ago and that was enough for me. I'm strictly a Christmas Vacation kind of movie-watcher. So? Did you go back and get that little sewing machine cabinet? Sounds like Peg is an enabler. We should all have one of those! :D

SHARONA - your experience with your tote sounds like my troubles with my little project this week. It took me 7 days to make something that should have taken me only 4 hours at most. Now I'm hesitant to start anything else. Have fun at the soccer game. I assume it's grand(s) that are playing? How far is Alamosa?

BECCA - did your swimming tire you out? I know you're still not quite up to "snuff" on the energy scale. I'm still having to stop to take short rests between activities.

TINA - how are you feeling? How is Dad doing? Did you finish your sew along quilt? I was gone all of August and lost track.

LOIS - how's the trip going? Did you say you're coming home today instead of Sunday? I say stretch it out and do some other fun thing!

Yesterday I kitted up a wall-hanging project that I bought for myself while in Alaska. I'm going to take it camping. Well, that's about all I have for now. Foxy is demanding some attention and he has 20 sharp little stickers to encourage me to obey his commands. Have a super Saturday!

Howdy from Hays.

MaryZ, Enjoy your camping trip. I'm glad you're feeling better. I haven't had time to check out Lori's Christmas Sashiko, but will.

Lori, Thanks for info, I'll check it out.

Chriss, I hope and pray little Elliott is OK and you get to cuddle him soon.

MaryQ, Yes, we'll head to Colorado next week. Thanks for the prayer. We may have to stay here an extra day. I was looking at weather for Tuesday and it's not sounding good going west that day.

Sharona, Safe travels, enjoy the game.

Irish and Valerie, Good to see ya posting.

Maddox has a soccer game this morning. I will go and let Capt Grandpa sleep in.

Hope all y'all have a fine day.
Lyn

Good morning,

We are on our way home we had a great time especially spending it with our daughter making memories.
The quilt show was ok they had some beautiful quilts I couldn't get my machine the person who was from grace didn't come they had a family emergency.
I got a tshirt bought a practice kit to practice
free motion quilting its quite nice but overall the show was disappointing I've never seen this show with hardly no vendors.
On the other note we got some fabric!!!
So on Monday I will order my machine we called grace yesterday when we got back to the room the young lady at grace called me back and I'm getting all the specials with the machine.

Well thats it for now enjoy your day.
Prayers go out to all.
Lois

Good morning!

A beautiful day here. My little termite, Ethan is still asleep at the moment. I was asked and agreed to make him chocolate waffles for breakfast. He's fun to spoil! Yesterday he rode around the neighborhood with his buddies. Sandee has a e-bike that she let's Ethan ride. Ethan was good a checking in every so often to let me know he was still "alive" and fine. :)

Mr G wasn't feeling up to moving stuff yesterday, so maybe today. We did get the spaces measured to place things. I did get him to agree to a new love seat sofa for the office. That is a major accomplishment! The one that is in there is a old ratty one from many years ago in the Concord house. It should have gone to Acme Landfill before we moved! I hate that thing and I'm so happy to have it on the way out. I'll look in the clearance section of a furniture store for one. Cheap is good, as long as it isn't horrid looking! Boy will Sarah be surprised to see the old 9ne gone too.

So I didn't get my uglies done yesterday, so today they are! A bit of laundry too. My obstinate small toddler, my robot vacuum will get to do his work too. Ethan can run herd on Yoohoodi if he finds trouble, which Yoohoodi always does!

So after uglies., I'll be in the Batt Cave, sewing and watching football. Utah plays Utah St first, then right after BYU plays their game. Oh how Mr G hates this time of year! He's not a sports fan at all. He tolerates it for a time, but does grump about it! I haven't checked to see when my Niners play tomorrow or if they are even on here. That's a hit or miss if the local TV carries the game.

So off I go, I hear a termite!

Hugs,
Jana

Oh, no further word on Jonah. That family, Crenda's side, doesn't say much, so I am still praying and hope no news is good news. Matt came and got the little truck to take to Andrew. So the first time in our married life, we have only one vehicle! That's nearly 50 years. Strange for us.

Good morning, what a beautiful day today will be.

I got most of the stuff down in the garage and have about 4 totes to go through and the Christmas stuff is still staring at me too. It's looking pretty good and I am happy with the progress. I will have someone help put the kids totes back up when I am all done. I can pull them down but climbing a ladder and lifting something over my head isn't what I am going to do.

I've finished the laundry for the day and am considering going through the spare room next.

Lori, I am also very proud of your DGD. How exciting for her and all of you. Such an accomplishment, high five to her. I think she deserves some confetti, cake and some congratulation flowers. After I get my house the way I want it, I will go through and tweak what needs tweaking then I will work on the outside, plants, trees, etc. I have fruit trees that seem to only benefit the squirrels. I have a pear tree that gets pears every year and I have caught Moose pulling them off the tree and eating them.

Maryz, I'm pretty expensive. And I take a long time to complete a project. You might want to start on your garage yourself. I do still have things in the rafters of the garage, I will need someone to take them down for me. I have limits. Happy camping, hope it's a blast.

Lyn, I am already looking forward to going to soccer and baseball games. Hope Maddox has a great game. Elliott is doing well, his parents have "new parentitis" and are as anxious as we all were. Funny, Elliott took a few days to poop, parents were worried but excited when they saw that full diaper. This morning I noticed they had added diaper pail bags to their Amazon registry. There's no stopping him now.

Lois, so glad you are going to get the machine with all the bells and whistles you want. Also glad you had fun at the show. I've been to some with hardly any vendors and I've been to some with so many vendors it was hard to choose stuff.

Jana, I also want a new couch. Mine pushing 30 years old. The cushions are getting threadbare and I just don't like it. It's on my someday list. Hope you find just what you are looking for.

Last night I bbq'd some burgers and chicken strips. It will be tonights dinner as well.

I think I just may sew. I was going to go shopping but it's Saturday and everyone will be out shopping too. Think I will wait till Monday to shop. I would like to make it to the post office this morning, hoping that works out.

You all have a superb day
Chriss

Good mornng I mopped all the floors on the main flor dry mop and wet mop...Everything including the dishes are done...I still have the shower to clean but i will wait and see if i ride out to my sisters house to get out on the nice weather. it is a beautiful day here too...My priority right now is trying to get the house in order so when Ken is here by himself for 2 weeks he will not live in squaller...I may have to when i get home. He can do a lot of neglicting in 2 weeks...He did say to me he might hire someone to come and clean before I come home...
As far as take with me projects I have 2 embroidery kits 2 paper books 3 downloaded books and a wool table runner to do...I may not get to any of it or all of it...but nothing is pressing just things to keep me busy in my down time...therapy is everyday and napping afterwards is what I am told is normal...so we shall see...I am making a list of all the things I need to take and I did order some loose fitting knit pants to take too...hoping they come in time and that they fit....have a wonderful day XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Good afternoon from a warm, sunny, SW. Pa.....Another summery day and I am enjoying it to the fullest.....No one came and did the laundry so the bed got stripped and the sheets hanging outside....Looking forward to crawling in tonight, lol.....
The days that were to be spent in my sewing room just didn't happen and I'm thinking, it just wasn't meant to be....I heard yesterday, our craft show is not going to happen and there are a few of us that are upset...It seems the president made this discission himself, without a vote or discussion...I'll find out more this week but we just can't wait until the last minute.... We had a super bingo and maybe he feels we made enough money this year......MEN!
Once again, our neighborhood has been hit with some sadness...One of our neighbors lost her daughter yesterday...The young girl was in her early 20s and wasn't really expected to survive at birth...She's been bedridden, on a vent and all kinds of tubes etc. all her life and her Mom has taken care of her all those years...What makes it extra sad, this Mom had lost a son shortly after he was born awhile back.....She's been a single Mom for some time, her daughter was her whole life so it's going to be hard for her for quite awhile.....This has become a very close knit neighborhood and we've all lost but we will take care of her....

On a happy note, I had an appointment yesterday to see if I'm OK to get rid of my oxygen tank...I think I can but you know those doctors! Last night of course my sister picked me up and we visited another gal and played cards until the wee hours...When leaving, the other gal said, how about we do the same thing tomorrow night????So, I have a feeling, someone will be stopping to pick me up later......Hopefully, it will be after the ND game and after I get a few things done.....

MaryZ, seems you're already to hit the road again....As I said, being near the water is super special.....
Lyn, and you're another one, hard to keep track of....Which house were you having that new building built for your quilting? Like I said, hard to keep things straight......Smooth weather ahead, safe travels.....
Maryq, when I read about your enabler, I've wished I had someone around here that was like that...Of course, it could get dangerous, especially to the purse...But, what fun you have...Hey, you only live once, so enjoy it!
Judi, Won't be long and you'll be a new woman...AND it will be so worth it, you will be fine.....
Chriss, As MaryZ said, you will have the cleanest garage around...Do you do sheds???Mine really needs help but I have a hornet's nest on the inside of the door and I'm using that as an excuse not to go in mine..Not sure what excuse I'll come up with when they go dormant.....Oh my when baby goes Poopoo! Funny how the littlest things can be so exciting...Just the 1st of so many, many exciting things in Elliot's life......
Lois, talk about exciting! Getting a new toy like that is special.....Good to be you......
Jana, It seems everyone is thinking new furniture and I for one am on that list....Not sure how old my sofa is but I'm just getting tired of it...My next door neighbor just got a new one and really has me thinking! The gal who used to live in the park, the one who cat sat for me, lives in S. Carolina now....They just moved into a new home and had ordered quite a bit of furniture from some place in N. Carolina..Well, they have been waiting and waiting, making phone calls and getting ready to cancel but hates to think about starting over...

Well, need to get a few things done before the ND game comes on...Hopefully it will be a good day for the Irish.......Not sure what's on the menu tonight...We might eat out again before we go play cards....And there is never a lack of snacks plus this gal always has goodies...Last night she had pumpkin pie...And then I wonder why my pants are getting snug......

You all have a great rest of the day.......................

Hi everyone 🤗
We went to Dad's by 8:30 and called it quits for the day at 6:55, we're exhausted to say the least. Holly and the boys got there about 9:30 and Jazmyne around 11. I still have about 4 loads of laundry to do for him. But his house is sanitized and we evicted probably 2000 spiders. I washed all his curtains and Holly cleaned out all the windowsills and she did the hard part of vacuuming floors, walls and ceilings and she shampooed the carpets. Frankie cleaned the bathrooms. I stripped his bed and washed 8 regular loads of laundry besides his curtains and dusted I think everything in the house.....I sure hope I didn't miss anything. It took Frankie, Holly and me to get his table cleaned off.... pretty sure we filled 3 garbage bags.
Tomorrow is Maria's birthday so I may wait till Monday to finish his laundry because I don't want to be tired to go to Cruces.
I'll have to come back to read today's posts.
I hope you all have a good evening!
Tina
