Good morning Lois and those that follow.
Not much going on yet here at my house. I am sitting here with my first cup of coffee. In a few hours I go to the eye dr. The graduation quilt is just about done. I have the last edge to sew the binding down on and it will be done. I am not sure if I can sew after the eye dr. It takes my eyes just about all day after being dialated to get back to normal. Well, I need another cup of coffee. I hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Good early morning,

LOIS - you are really on the ball with your SS! I've got ideas and even made some sketches. But I haven't sewn a stitch yet. I'm waiting for it all to gel in my mind.

SUZETTE - I had my eyes dilated last week. It took a few hours for them to return to normal. I didn't sew either. I could barely walk a straight line!

LORI - I'm so sorry about your friend's diagnosis. I pray for peaceful days for her and acceptance for you. But on a happier note, I wish a very happy birthday to your son.

CHRISS - I saw that orange peel template on sale, too. I thought about it, but also passed. I've made that chocolate cake on the back of the Hershey can, too. I'm not a fan of chocolate cake, but I have to say that one was rich and moist. Glad you are cooling off.

LYN - and you mentioned Carol Doak's foundation papers on sale here on QIAD! I almost missed that and had to go back through my e-mails. Thanks! I ordered a pack. Happy Birthday to your DD! Glad you are having some fun time with her and the littles in your life! I think making sure the deck is safe is the way to go rather than rebuild. If you really wanted it spruced up you could always hit it with a new coat of paint or stain.

JUDI - glad you are all feeling better and had a day at the beach. Did you find any cool rocks? I will try to remember to get one for you from Texas.

JANA - Did you get to make noise in your Batt Cave yesterday? Nice to have some rain. We had some predicted but it looks like they've removed it from the forecast. Sigh.

Yesterday I finished quilting my SIL's quilt, did some 'thinking' on my SS's gift, and a little cutting for my Nutcracker log cabins. I even have my first sample block half-sewn. Then I remembered I had to make two appetizers to take to a dinner party. Deviled eggs and bruschetta. So that meant a run to the grocery store. I never made bruschetta before but it turned out pretty good. Today, I need to do a few uglies and a load of laundry before I sew.

I hope your day is a good one!

Morning all,
Yesterday saw my Urologist, good check up. Then it was off to grocery store. Fridge and freezer stocked.
Today I start cutting back my blackberries for winter, plus laundry & clean house.
May get to sewing room some day, but not today.

Good Morning it is another beautiful day...all is well here, we did have fun at the casino and the beach...I found a few rocks but nothing earth shattering,,,It was a pretty clear beach....But all of your offers to send rocks are so fun.
Today we will get our tickets for the hockey tournament and although we are negative and symptom free we probably will wear masks in a crowded areas...besides the fact that it keep your face warm in the cold ice rink. we will see.
still sew ing a bit and reading,,,,I will cook sliders tonight for supper..Chicken will be the choice tonight,,,
Hope your day is relaxing and funXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Good morning!

Oh I did make good progress on my Candy Corn quilt. One easy block and one block that is a tad bit tedious, and then on to squaring all the blocks. Kari will be home tomorrow night and they are going on Saturday to the car races over in Tooele. That's pronounced, - Too-will-a. One of our strange words here in Utah. We have a few! A friend of Daniel has a son who is one of the racers.

It was a long tiring day yesterday. But it's now done for this week. Ethan is loving playing in this new orchestra. A good thing!

Maybe a bit more rain today. The rain caused flooding in some parts, but we were fine. Living up on the side of what is known as the Provo level of the prehistoric ancient Lake Bonneville, that covered most of Utah, Idaho and parts of Nevada, and being the law of nature and gravity, water moves to the path of least resistance and downhill, so flooding doesn't happen at my house. Water gathers down at the bottom of the valley,, away from us.. It would take a storm of Ark proportions to reach me. LOL!

So my POTD is my Candy Corn quilt and sew the back on my Halloween bench pillow. All quite doable.

Hugs,
Jana

Good Morning Girls

Sorry I missed y'all yesterday morning... I'm not feeling my usual sparkly self the last couple days. I think I picked up some intestinal bug and well... y'all know how that can go! I spent most of yesterday either on the couch or "you know where". I was hoping to be much much better today, but not so much. I did take a quick shower and will head up to Walgreens shortly for some meds and some Gatoraide. I was hoping that with all the "running" I'd at least lose about 25 pounds, but that ain't happening!

I'm headed up to the drug store for now... I'll check in with y'all later!

Good morning everyone. Quick drive by just to check in on all of you.

I have been fighting a headache for almost a week now. Trying to watch my screen time. 😩 makes it hard to come visit. Went to sleep with heating pad on my neck. That seemed to help.

I have got the top of my black background quilt done, now for all those dart blocks. I think there are around 52 that go around the quilt for the border.

Fabric chosen for SS gift. Decided I really should get started early as you never know what will happen. I am going to Free Sew today so will work on that.

My end of shift email just came so best get so I can respond before 8:30.

Have a great day everyone.

Good Crisp, Crisp, Morning.....

55* really surprised me this am. Was a bit tuff getting out from under the quilts. I can see by the ripples on the lake the breeze is coming from the north.

Yesterday I gave one side of the living room a really good cleaning. I can't stand the dust build up around table legs. Must do a good corner cleaning in the sewing room. Also will make a big visible list of my SS favorites for inspiration & help me remember...

Lois.......have a productive sewing day. We should help each other clean.

Suzette....do you need stronger lenses? I know I will on my next exam.

Maryz....I have no idea where my Walmart stuff is. they got some interesting things peanut butter, jam, veg peeler, personal wipes(a 6 pk), bread, oat meal cookies(the really cheep $1.69,frosted ones), & dentil floss! Hope they have some fun. I'm happy to have it finished.
I love deviled, been a while since I've had one.

Flo......happy to hear the check up went well. I miss my raspberries. I saw new owners took them out!

Judi.......want a small rock or 2 from Westhampton Beach's beach? Also have shells & beach glass? Real good idea to wear masks.

Jana.......love the candy corn pattern. Love candy corn too..but now it seems too sweet. Both MA & NY have challenging Native American like Massachusetts! Glad you are safe from flooding.

Love & prayers.......Kathy

Good morning beautiful ladies. It's a marvelous day today. The weather is perfect. Below 90* is always wonderful. I almost need to wear sleeves and long pants instead of Capri's in the morning. I love it.

I figured out what to make for my elf and will get started pulling fabrics today. I have gone over and over her hints and think my plan will fit into her wishes. Love SS.

Lois, you are a whirl wind. so much done in so little time.

Suzette, hope the eye appointment goes quickly.

Maryz, my son mentioned the already boiled and peeled eggs at Costco. I have some in the fridge and will use them from now on. Just when I think I can boil and nicely peel an egg they get narly and have divots in the white part. I am a convert. What pattern are you using for the numchucker quilt? I almost bought the foundation paper's and the orange peel template but both will be a purchase for another day.

Flo, I will be purchasing blackberries at the farmers market on Saturday. They are huge there, between the size of an almond and walnut. yum.

Judi, what do you do with the rocks? glad you are symptom free and negative. Enjoy the hockey game.

Jana, sounds like you had a productive day yesterday. I could use some of your rain. As much as I would like rain here, I know it won't be helpful to those in the burn area where the fires were.

Maryq, I sure hope you feel better soon. Funny, everytime I go into the bathroom I say that ought to be worth 10 pounds. I shave my legs and say that ought to be worth 10 pounds. It never is.

Valerie, my headache cure, drink some dill pickle juice. Silly, I know but it helps me. I'm right behind you in getting that SS surprise sewn. Hey, we missed the quilt show in Santa Clara this year, did they have one? Next year it's a date.

Kathy, I printed off my elf's wish list and have read it a zillion times and am hoping I have it right. Hope the people that got your peanut butter were in dire need of it.

Ok, off to go get my booster then a webinar about what else? Medicare. Then sewing will be my POTD.

You all have a great day.
