contest ended Feb 15, 2022 congratulations to the winner
The postage kitty for mailing comfort quilts is empty. It costs almost $20 to mail a quilt.
There are quilt tops and completed quilts but no money to mail them out. I came up with this contest to hopefully add money to the kitty.
Above are pictures of a Jelly roll, some layer cakes and some FQ bundles. Winner chooses their prize, and the rules are as follows.
If you send in $20 you will get your name in the hat once.
If you sent in $40 you will get your name in the hat twice, etc.
Prizes are as follows
If your name is drawn and you submitted $20 you can choose two items from the pictures above.
If your name is drawn and you sent in $40 you can choose four items etc. until the items run out
$20 equals one chance and if drawn gets two items
$40 equals two chances and if drawn gets four items.
Whatever time Tina gets her mail on February 15th is the cut off time for the contest and the winning name will be drawn the evening of February 15th. No exceptions. Tina will have one of her grandchildren or her husband draw the lucky name.
Package will be sent to the winner as soon as I know their prize selection...

Can someone explain how to send via PayPal? Or I can put a check in the mail too?

Nice to know, that we need to send to TINA.
I was confused who was doing the collection.
I was guessing it was for Tina. Thanks for clearing it up.

To send through PayPal you just send it to me under my email account. I can give that to anyone who needs it. You also have to have a PayPal account of your own.
If you send through "friends and family" there's no fee involved. Otherwise it just takes the fee off of what you send.
Hopefully I haven't confused you all
Thank you all who are helping.
I'll do an inventory when Maryz gets home and settled, she has part of the comfort quilt tops, backs, yardage etc at her house too. She's been awesome helping get these tops together! Thank you so much Maryz β€β€β€

Re: contest ends Feb 28, 2022
I have a completed quilt and will pay to send it. I will just need a label to put on the back, as I do not have an embroidery machine.
The quilt El's Angels sent to my DH, Paul, when he was going through radiation treatments 2 1/2 years ago was so appreciated and is still used. I was so touched by that kindness that I made a quilt specifically to be used to 'pay it forward'. When it is needed let me know. Seems silly for me to mail it to Tina, and then she has to mail it to the intended recipient. If someone will send the label to me, I will sew it on and then mail it. (Just let me know ahead of time, as we will be traveling in our RV this Spring, and the quilt will be here in TN!)
