For those of you who asked about Don's service, it's been arranged for Wed, June 30 with visitation from 5 to 7 with a sandwich/coffee hour with service starting at 7pm. Cindy said it's more than Don wanted but the service really is for the family, so this is what she wanted.

She is having a hard time but her sister is spending a lot of time with her and is a solid support for her. Cindy knows this thread filled with loving messages is here waiting for her when she is able to read them. She will get to them soon but just can't handle it right now.

Cindy just texted me that Don passed away today, June 24 about 4 PM Texas time. It was a short message but she said for now she is doing OK but figures it will really hit her later. And it will. She asked me to let everyone know and also how grateful they were for all of the cards and notes y’all sent. They meant a lot to them both.

My heart breaks for Cindy. It will be a sad time and my prayers go out to her and their children and grandchildren. It is hard to lose someone.

I am so sad for the Cindy's family for the loss of Don. They will all be in my prayers.

Oh, so sad! Prayers for Cindy as she moves forward. This is such a difficult time. My heart just aches for her.
