Good morning

Today my baby, Autumn, turns 44. Where do the years go? I had been a grandma two years by the time I was 44. It’s also my dad’s 109th birthday.

Lori, so sorry you had to make that tough decision. But sometimes it’s simply best for everyone. And there are some fabulous group homes out there now, as we learned with Bill’s uncle.

Chriss, did you get started on your table runner? Is there A specific pattern so I can look it up? Or can you share a photo? Given how much you are driving, I think I could let the oil and tires go too. Thank you for inviting me not to visit you!

Mary Q - when I posted about that haircut yesterday, I was waiting for your response, knowing you have been a hairstylist at one time. 🤣LOL!! Have you got your beads quilt together yet?

Lois, enjoy your venison. It is definitely not my cup of tea, though I ate a lot of it growing up . M Hunting season is in the fall in our area.

Judi, glad you found a floor you both like. Will it be throughout the downstairs or just the pantry and storage room?

Jana, Covid is spiking everywhere. We were told that right now California is one of the worst places in the country. Just before we had to cross the border into California. 🙀😷. Bummer about the spill on the new carpet. Our new carpet was one week old when I spilled a glass of cranberry juice on the stairs and a friend spilled a full glass of red wine on it, splashing our white couch on the way down. Fortunately our rugs are “smart strand“ and require nothing but water to clean up.

Diane, glad the surgery went well and your hubby is a good nurse. Are you in much pain?

Suzette, lucky you to have a hair cutter in the family!

Yesterday was a Long day in the saddle. 400 miles, fighting Highwinds about half of the time. We pulled into our campground and DH was so tired he just shut off the truck, plugged in the power, went into the trailer, and sat down. He says after all the high stress driving he needs a day off so we are going to rest here an extra night. We stayed here on our way south - in The orange grove. The oranges weren’t ripe then, but they are now so we will pick a bag today. I’m Getting out my sewing machine this morning so I can attach a new Crosstitch project to my frame - Spring Camper. We are so glad we hit the road for home when we did because a lot of places we have just driven through snow yesterday!

Have a super Sunday!

Good morning MaryZ and those that follow.
Well the dog quilt is just about done. I have the 2 long sides to do with the sashing and then do border. I am just trying to figure out how to quilt it. I think most of it will be stitching in the ditch. I hope everyone has a wonderful day.

I did win a $5 bill and an amazon gift card and a scratch off which also paid me $10 so I came out good I got 2 google play card and gave them to one of my great nieces.. My sister buys these cards all year and has a box she throws $5 and ones in for this. and a $20 for the middle....one of my nieces got that. it was fun.
Today I will try to get the basement main room cleared of all the stuff for the pantry,,3 shelving units full...while Ken does the trim and baseboards in the storage room.. once that is dome we can start on the main room...I need to do some laundry today too.

Good beautiful Sunday morning, it's going to be a great day today.

Yesterday I got the applique portion of my table runner pattern traced, now the hard part, picking out fabric for each piece. Hopefully I can get the blocks cut and maybe started and iron on the fusible to the background. I wish it wasn't so hard to pick out the fabric. ugh.

Maryz, yay for getting oranges. can you just pick what you want or do you have to pay for them. Can you take Cali oranges into WA? I am doing this table runner of the month, https://suzyssitcom.com/2021/01/join-th ... along.html I want to do one for Jerry's little table and if I like it I may do one for each month and make it into a calendar quilt. Glad you are taking a relax day, and I have seen the weather follow you along. glad it is staying behind you.

Suzette, you flew through that quilt. bet it's beautiful.

Flo, yay for the electrical inspection. things will go fast now. once the drywall is up then it's paint and a uhaul truck.

Judi, my friend the big winner. yay for you. I have never played the seran wrap ball game but it does sound fun. Thanks for Kathy's address, I think I will send her a little care package. I so want her to be ok. I do appreciate your giving us updates as you get them.

Becca, I have floors incase you want to do some more. Enjoy church. I would love to have church in a building with others. We just aren't open around here. No hair cuts, no church, no indoor eating, but I can go to Walmart. it's crazy.

Maryq, hopefully, now that the vaccine is out there, Covid will go the way of the Spanish flu and mumps and measles. I am going to wait to take on the vaccine, not really sure if I will get it or not. I want to see how it goes for those who have already received it first. I pray it works. Glad you got your tp and your closet cleaned. I was looking around my sewing room yesterday and have so much clutter in such a small space. I need a makeover.

Lori, as people age they do seem to get a little pissy don't they? It's a hard decision to put a parent in a care facility but it is sometimes necessary. hugs to you.

I'm finding this quilt intriguing. https://mysteryquiltsanonymous.com/wp-c ... ersC4R.pdf

Soon Jane Pauley will be on, then I will be off to my room. I am going to make fabric decisions and make progress today.

Good morning!

Up, showered and dressed, in a dress! I teach in a little while, so have to look good for the camera! ROFLOL! Not much can help this old lady in that department! Even curled my hair. It is quite long now, since I only cut my bangs. I used to wear it at my shoulders, now it is down to the middle of my back. Michael likes it long, so he is happy I can't get it cut.

Not much here. I will play in my Batt Cave after I have finished teaching. I will breathe then too!

Cold and looks like snow clouds over the mountains. Maybe we will get some flakes to fall.

Stay Safe!
Hugs, prayers for us, and our country, for decisions to be made righteously. Prayer does work, for hearts to be softened in all things.

Chriss, I'm actually less pissy now. lol It was DH's decision since it's his dad. DH didn't like the way he was treating me. It made it very uncomfortable in our home. Bill would make him a meal and he would always thank him. I would make a meal and he wouldn't say anything, even after Bill mentioned it. It's been a long 7 months at our house. We came home from walking the dogs at the park this morning, and it was nice to walk in and just be the two of us. That's a cute runner with the snowmen. I also like that other quilt you posted the link to.

Jana, hope your lesson went well.

Izzy, you aint no spring chicken anymore. Take it easy.

Judi, the Saran wrap ball game is a blast. We play it at our quilt retreat. We're laughing so hard we're crying. So funny.

Becca, that's a little chilly. It's been in the mid 40's here in the morning. That's cold for us.

Maryz, glad you are taking a break. Looks like it's going to be windy today. The I-5 can be really bad.

The boys have been walked, and I made pancakes and bacon for breakfast. So delicious. No a few chores and then we will see what happens.

Have a wonderful day.

Good evening, such a productive day.

I got the applique part of the table runner ironed onto the background fabric. Next weekend I will make the two side blocks and get it sandwiched. The hard part for me is picking out which fabric I changed it up a few times before getting it the way I like it. I even had to go buy embroidery floss,

Izzy, what are we going to do with you and DH? hope you heal quickly. Love the goat names.

Jana, how did your lesson go? I hope you checked your smile before you went on camera to see if you had lipstick on your teeth. Do people still wear lipstick? What did you play with in the Batt Cave?

Lori, Not me, I'm still pissy, LOL. My grandma was the same way. Jerry was the best cook ever and my food was dry. If I took her something Jerry made and told her I made it it was dry, If I told her something I cooked was made by Jerry it was wonderful. I wonder why they become stinkers like that.? Glad you have your home back.

Hope your evening is wonderful.
Chriss
