Good Morning Girls

Kind of dreary day here.... chance of rain, but boy is the snow melting fast! That's a good sign!

Lois... Sorry to hear that the fun things have gotten canceled. Did you see the pattern Sindy posted on FB yesterday of the tea cups and saucers and pots? Just to warn you, it's 34 pages to print out! Not that I want to start another project, but it so stinking cute!

Suzette... can you imagine what it would be like if we were all quarantined with out the internet? Glad you got the backing for your Halloween quilt, you'll have something to keep you busy while you're stuck in the house.

Diane,... I'm thinking it might not be a bad idea to cancel future QOV at the Vets Café...Even if it's a small group, you sure don't want to take chance with those old guys... we old folks are more likely to catch it will have a harder time fighting it off! I vote for staying in too.

Flo. Our Local Am. Legion does fish fries too during lent... so good! But I'm guessing they will cancel here too.

Becca.... Is tomorrow the birthday party? I'll be heading down to do the mumbo dance soon too. I just hope I have enough detergent... or that stores aren't out of that too!

Judi... OH Dear.... so sorry you were gifted with the FLU!!! Hope your symptoms are light and you can feel better very quickly! Don't you love it when DH's share! Though for gifts I'd rather have diamonds or fabric!

Katy... I think your Ex has a point about elbow bumping! Better we should do "air hugs" Can you imagine the financial impact if Casino's shut down! Holy Smokes! Watching the stock market tumble is scary enough!

Jana... Gosh I hope Becky doesn't get the bug! I can only imagine how busy the urgent cares are around here. I sure give a LOT of credit and patts on the back to the nurses and medical staff that still show up to work everyday.

Maryz…. SO good to see you post! Thanks for the update on Don. Hope they can give him some meds to help him through the effects of the chemo. Sorry your Log cabins didn't work out, but good thing you brought along another project to keep you busy on the rainy days!

Yes, I did cancel my trip to Canada. Think I will call Viv today and let her know. When I talked to Shawn yesterday she was still planning on going. She and her DH picked up her new LA machine the other day, so maybe she will stay home and get it installed! I feel good about the decision, I just don't wan to get stuck in Canada! As much as I love my kids and grands... I need to be home for the re-construction I need done around here.

Time for more coffee and then get busy. While Mr. Maytag does his thing, I'll be sewing. I have all the blocks done -- Fat Cat Designs Circle of Love... that I'd like to put together. My UGRR swap blocks are done but may do a second set. The deadline is coming up on Thursday... so there is still time!! You're going to be stuck in the house for a while... no why not do something FUN with your time!!!!

Wishing you all a Super Saturday

MaryZ, I would suggest that you stock up on whatever you might need before heading back from camping. You may have better luck finding things, like TP, and you are less likely to be near someone who may be contagious.

I have 4-5 inches of snow to clear out of the driveway this morning before going down to see Dad.

Good morning, it's going to be a gorgeous day today.

Lots has been going on here. Last year during my evaluation at work my supervisor said some not so nice things. She gave me a good evaluation but commented on things about me personally. She has also been snarky to me for quite a while. So, after stewing about it I went to HR and gave them my story, they looked into it and things have changed. We will see for how long. I have never been disciplined in 30 years so I know if my record is looked at they will see it's clean. I just got tired of being treated like crap. My supervisor said I had treated others wrong. I went to apologize to those people and they had no clue what I was talking about. I have caught my supervisor in lies and cheating on an employee drawing. Her boss tells me he thinks she feels threatened by me. Not sure why. I in no way want her job or her life. Work has been awful for a while. If things start to go backwards I will stand up for myself and go to HR again. I am not sure whey I put up with it for so long.

Suzette, I slept in this morning. Isn't it wonderful to get caught up on sleep? So? did you get caught up on those half done projects?

Jana, we have no cases of the virus here either. And like you all our events have been cancelled. The part I love, and this is insensitive, is... Since I turned 56 I have had to check the next box on forms. I am no longer in the 45-55 box. But with this virus 60 is elderly. I am in the next box but not quite elderly. the scales of justice are once again balanced. ;)

Diane, so many events are being canceled. My 401k has taken a hit and now with no one traveling mom and pop stores are going to be in trouble. I don't recall other viruses or flu's being this bad. We've had, it seems, an illness each year but this one is seriouser than the past ones.

Flo, someday I am going to come to where you live and go to one of those fish fry's with you. When we went to the Midwest we went to a couple of them at the VFW, it was wonderful.

Judi, glad Ken is feeling a bit better. Jerry was also sick, but he gets flu like symptoms everytime he goes into town. He is on the mend now too.

Sherry, crazy how the shelves are going empty but the canned goods are still in stock. If I thought there was stocking up to do it would be on food. Things might be better come December for your Vegas trip.

Maryq, will you be remodeling the bathroom or repairing it? Seems if you wanted to add something now would be the time. We have a deep tub, not a longer tub, it's just deep, and I wish it were gone. It takes forever to fill and your knees still stick up when you get in it.

Izzy, way to improvise on that 30 inch block. Hope there is a picture of it posted soon.

Lori, today is QIAD day. How fun to be you. Valerie and I met Eleanor in Livermore when she was the featured quilter at that quilt show. I have to say I was a bit star struck. she is quite a gracious lady. I sure wish I was going with you. Hope the fish oil works for Jack. I really want him to be ok.

Lois, sorry everything got canceled. Hope that they have make up events soon. Things are canceled here too. I had planned on a quilt show next weekend but that is rescheduled for October.

Becca, grand cookies are the best. It means the grands will be there. yay you. have a wonderful visit.

Judi, that's what happens when you marry a giving person. He gives and gives. last time he built you a hope chest this time he gave you the flu. ;) Here, when we recover from being sick we always wash the sick off of the sheets. ;)

Katy, We also have a well and don't need to worry about water. Jerry counted and we have enough toilet paper. and, incase anyone is in dire need there are 3 cans of spam in the pantry. I agree with your ex about the elbow bump.

Jana, Jerry is also building raised beds for a veggie garden. We are at the dirt stage but still need to get dirt and a little compost to mix in. If Sarah has any tricks she'd like to let slip out I am here to sneak a listen. Jerry is going to put a cage all around and over the top of the garden. Our issues here are squirrels and gophers. More importantly, I will add a prayer for Becky too.

Maryz, glad you have cell service, it's good to see you.

Maryq, I love that you warn Lois about the fatcat patterns. It gives me a chance to sneak a peak without anyone knowing.

Lyn, enjoy your dad visit.

And now I need something to eat then to go play in my room. We are supposed to get rain but the clouds are traveling towards the mountains. Not sure we will get much more than wind.

YOu all have a superb day,
Chriss
