Good morning!

LOIS - what size yo-yo maker did you get? Or maybe I should ask what color. I have 3 different ones but the yellow one is the only one I've used so far. It makes a finished yo-yo about 2-1/2 to 3 inches. Great project for TV, or in the car or waiting rooms. I also have a green one that makes a yo-yo about the size of a quarter, and the big blue jumbo one, still in the package.

SHIRLEY MAE - glad Rod is improving, even if just a little. It takes a lot to get ready to move - especially to a different part of the country! Maybe the stress of this is what's turning your tummy . . . . I wish I was there to take Domino for you. But you know, I think here most apartments take small pets, though you probably have to pay an extra deposit. My DD just moved from WA to VA into an apartment with her kitty. Or maybe your family could keep you furry friend for you until you get settled. You know me - always worried about the cat! And about you without your cat! :(

MARY Q - I do not watch scary movies. The worst I've seen is Psycho and a few scenes from that old classic, The Blob. And now I"ll probably have nightmares about them tonite! How is your UFO coming along. It's nice to have something new waiting for you! Do you still have snow? And I think I'm glad I'm not available to go 'shopping' at your fabric lady's house! lol!

JANA - I'm glad Aaron has a day off. That means we all get one, too! 🙏You do the music for church? I know you went to Idaho to college. Did you study music there or do you just have a natural inclination? Sarah must have inherited it from somewhere. . .

SHARONA - did you find your wedding ring?

JUDI - fun to have a trip in your near future and be able to make plans even as snow is blowing outside your window! I'm anxious to hear what motorhome your sis bought - brand, model, size. Bill will be looking it up on the internet for sure. We love all things RV, even other people's RV's!

TINA - I hope the doctors get all settled on what's going on with your dad and he can come home soon,

CAROLE - Casey! I remember Casey! I cried for you when you lost her. But you are right - a new dog really helps to ease the pain of the loss. About a month after we lost our Snickers, I heard his tags jingling like he was coming up the stairs. Bill came out of the office right then and said he had just heard Snick's tags! We looked at each other, and both said, "We have to get another dog!" And that's how 7-week old Scottie came into our lives. He's 6-1/2 yrs now. I hope Luke's sugars lower and stabilize soon. What is a normal sugar for a dog? Same as people?

VAL - yes, Carriage Quilts is still in Des Moines. That's about 40 miles from me. I've only been there once, but it was a really nice shop! How did your meetings go?

FLO - nice quick work! You and Joe move fast. I'm so glad you still have a sewing room. I was thinking you had to give that up to make room.

BECCA - hope your few uglies and other chores go quickly so you can get to relaxing or playing with your toys!

There is some good news regarding the Seattle shooting: It apparently was a drug deal gone bad and the innocent folks shot were caught in the crossfire. Four of the seven people in the hospital have been released. There were three shooters and they have one of them in custody now - one of the released patients! And they know who the other two are. Both 24 years old, both have many convictions, some of them felonies, and yet, here they were, already back out on the street. I hope they have them in custody soon.

We saw on FB last night that Bill's niece, a family social worker in a county near the coast, posted a notice about a Valentine dinner/dance fundraiser being held at a Casino/resort on the coast (about 120 miles from here). To raise money to assist at risk families. Since we love dancing and it's over our anniversary, we bought tickets. We'll take our trailer, park at the casino RV lot, and maybe make a short trip out of it. Bill's sis and dbil will be there as well as his niece and her hubby. I'm really looking forward to it!

Yesterday, after cleaning bathroom, kitchen, floors, and doing one load of laundry, I finally got into my sewing room. Made two more Country Charmer blocks. They are 8-1/2" blocks with 53 pieces in each block. I decided to use different Christmas greens and reds for each block (but same white snowflake for background) so I pulled a lot of fabrics and did a lot of cutting and bagging. Now I can put the totes of fabric away until it's time to make the 3-strip sashing and borders. Hopefully I can get in some more sewing today. I also have chiropractor and I might stop at the grocery store after that for bread and fresh veggies.

Happy Friday!

Good morning It is raining here and very gloomy. I got home from taking the kids to school. make me some breakfast (soft cooked eggs) had more coffee now to do a load of towels. Apparently hockey players at Kens rink do not feel the need to take their dirty towels home. ken picks the up some are used for rags some are donated to the mens shelter salvation army some are brought home to me. They are almost always white and from hotels...but it is impossible to figure out which hotels they come from so the solution is for me to wash them and take them to the animal shelter. they are very much appreciated. I will keep a bin full for make doggie and cat beds too...I use up the scrap batting from quilt and they are washable. this is all when I have time...yes that 4 letter word...time. right now I need to get moving and I have to run to Target for a 4 year old birthday gift too...have a great day and if anyone out there gets time for a nap please take one for me XXXXXXXXXXOOOOOOOO

Good morning -

The virus has hit full force so this will be quick. And DH is getting it as well, which is concerning because he so quickly gets pneumonia.

Maryz - I did find my ring - I was WEARING it!

Back to bed. Stay chill, my quilty friends. xoxo Sharona

Good Morning Girls

Bet you are surprised to see me this early 0830 CST.. And get this... I'm up, showered and dressed.. though not quite ready for public viewing.... wet hair and no face on. But Hey I'm HERE!

Lois.. A little side trip to Joann is my reward for getting groceries... though it's a good thing Joanns isn't closer to home or I'd find myself running there all the time.. Since I get two copies of the ad in the mail all the time. So you're a YO-Yo er too!

Flo... Bet it feels good to have everything ready for company! Is your kitchen remodel all done? Does your DDIL sew too? Perhaps she'd like to learn while she is there with you.

Becca.... So happy for you that you have a stay at home day!!! Aren't they the best...

Maryz.. Oh my gosh, we still have lots of snow.. It won't be gone until end of March or Early April. Might even snow more today! I'm really trying hard to stay on task getting UFO's done. My 2nd gnome top is ready to pin, but need to get more basting spray first--bit the bullet and ordered some 505 spray from Amazon--will arrive on Sunday. In the meantime I've been playing with pillowcases. Are you kidding me.. 53 pieces in each block! Never mind, I don't think I'll borrow that pattern from you

Judi... You wanna meet at Target later for a cup of coffee? I'm headed there too for my grocery run. Since the kids are coming for sleep over tomorrow night I better have something to feed them. The only thing in the freezer is DQ Dilly Bars

Finally found a home for Jen's old day bed, that I have been wanting to get rid of for years. Posted it on a FB garage sale site and a gal is coming to get it this morning--hence the reason I'm up, showered and dressed. Eventually I'd get plain old twin bed for a "guest room", but even tho I have 3 bedrooms downstairs.. they are all full of sewing stuff... Imagine that!  Then I'll be off to Target for food... am thinking I might need a nap by the time I get home

Time to warm up the coffee and blow dry my hair...
see y'all tomorrow
in the meantime.. Have a Fabulous Friday

Good morning!

The sun just peaked over my mountains. Cloudy and a small "designer" storm will clip us. A designer storm is one, the proverbial they, call when it just snows up in the mountains and not on us in the valley. Which is a good thing - our water for the summer comes from the mountain snowpack, not valley snow. We, in the valley, don't have to shovel or drive in the snow. LOL

I need to hem a pair of church pants, dressier than jeans, for Ethan. He has out grown his white shirt and slacks, so Sarah bought him new. The pants are just a tad too long.

Not much else here.

Hugs,
Jana

Good morning all! It raining like crazy here and supposed to do it for next 24 hours. Much better than snow though so I will take it. Not much going on today. got my Michigan helmet puzzle decoupaged and found a frame to put it in to hang on my Michigan Wolverines wall. Got my haircut yesterday. It was getting so long and flyaway. Only problem is it is getting thinner on top.

Sweetie had her vet appointment Tuesday and her blood work was good so she doesn't have to take her anemia medicine anymore unless it got bad again. While there she got all of her shots and stuff so she doesn't have to go back for a year unless something happens. She has been through so much for a 1 year old kitten that someone tossed. Her home is here with Smoke and me now and we love her.

I am so far behind in reading all of your posts. I don't even know what is going on with everyone. Plan on trying to catch up this weekend. I also have to get my files in order. Just been putting stuff to be filed in a pile on my desk and it is getting high.

Well better go get us some breakfast and then get started. Need to keep working on my grandsons graduation project. Hope everyone has a good day. Stay safe and dry.

Sherry
