wednesday December 4th

Post by grammiequilts » Wed Dec 04, 2019 4:15 am

Good morning all another busy day here in paradise...I have an eye appt witht he surgeon this morning,,,it will be to determine if surgery is needed on the retina of my right eye,,,it has been under advisement for a year and my eye dr thinks its time for another opinion. then to stop at the DMV to swith title to my son of the cr that is in Kens name...then home to try and get my main tree up and decorated...it is in the stand and in the sun room but needs the lights and ornaments...I will try. then we are meeting friends for dinner in TOledo Ohio at the casino for a night out..they have a good buffet at senior prices....so that is our plan.
have all the house decorated and all the timers are working so everything goes on and off at its designated times...Even the lights in my bedroom ...I usually fall asleep with them on.
I still have not gotten the little quilt hung in my sewing room...that room is the staging area for christmas gifts and birthday gifts and it is trashed so unless I get it cleaned up that door will be closed for the duration...well I need coffee and some toast,,,,then off I go. please have a great day,,,,and know you are all in my prayers...XXXXXXXXOOOOOOOO

Gram--you made me tired and I just woke up. That is some crazy day ahead of you.

Today its a trip to the pain man. dr with my sister, Laura. He is at a loss as to what will help her, if anything. The insurance is denying even a MRI since June. I paid for it and if done in the hospital would be $3000. BUT, the dr told me about an office that does it for $688. If only they could be in her body for a day-then they would okay everything. She is in constant pain. So, today we see what the test shows.

Please keep Laura in your prayers today and thank you
Diane

Judi, hope the new eye Dr has answers. Enjoy your evening.

Diane, hope the MRI has answers and it can be shown to insurance for payment. Sending prayers for your sister.

I took my Christmas swap blocks up to the Clubhouse yesterday and came up with a plan. So heading to Joann's early this morning so I can be back in time for Sewing this afternoon.

PM's, I have noticed that sometimes that I will hit Submit but it says Draft or something. I go down the page and hit Submit again and then it says Sent successfully.

Hope you can fondle fabric!

Good morning,

JUDI - you do have a busy day and I pray your eye appt goes well. Enjoy your supper tonite at the casino. I need to look at a map now to see how close you are to Ohio.

DIANE - Prayers for Laura, too. I hope the MRI has some answers. Even hospitals have different prices for MRIs and I suspect just about every service they provide. Our local hospital charged my insurance $5,000 about 5 yrs ago and then I found a hospital in Tacoma charged "only" $3,000. I'm pleased you found somewhere to go for less than $700!

LYN - welcome back to Texas! Have fun with your blocks! Which blocks are they? Is there a specific day/time for sewing in your RV park? And what is the name of your park? We have good friends who full-time and they are in Rockport area a LOT but I can never remember the name of your park.

Yesterday was all about outside - digging bulbs and plants, raking leaves, helping DH as he started to dismantle our tarp & metal-framed RV shelter. Workmen will here Dec 13 to prep the site for the new one. It was good to be outside and getting work done, but I was sore last night! I did find time to make a few FGV blocks so the day wasn't completely wasted. lol!

Today we have to take our car into Tacoma to have brakes checked. They keep squeaking. Other than that, no plans except to continue with yesterday's projects.

Make your day a good one!

Good morning!
Judi, I hope they can find answers that fix your eye.
Diane, oh my goodness, I feel for your sister. It makes me so mad that insurance companies have a say so over a Dr what a patient needs! I hope they find what's wrong with your sister! If that MRI shows something I'd report her insurance company to the insurance commissioner for sure!
Lyn, welcome back to Texas! I'm excited to see your Christmas quilt when you get the top together ❤
Mary, oh my girlfriend, you really had a day yesterday! Is it all ready for the overhaul?
We're supposed to be 61* today but I think the wind is supposed to start today or tomorrow. My son says he's going to come over Sunday to help decorate, we've been sick and haven't done anything yet. I'm missing my decorations! I'm loving all of your descriptions though!
You all have a great day!

It's me again!

SUZETTE - so sorry, but I forgot to wish you a happy birthday yesterday! And again earlier this morning! I hope you had a happy day! I saw on FB that you were out celebrating with your hubby!

TINA - hope your temps stay in the 60's today. You can use some warm sunshine!

LYN - oh dear! sorry about that! Have fun with those blocks! I will ask my friends where they stay. Have you ever toured the Lexington Aircraft Carrier docked in Corpus? Going through some of my parents old things I found an old black and white photo of that carrier going through the Panama Canal. Interesting!

Hi to everyone who follows me. I'm off to find some breakfast now and play with some fabric until my walk time.

Good morning!

Here I sit, snuggled deep in my warm quilt! It is cold outside!

Aaron's day in court is over and done. He didn't have to testify. The truck driver took a plea deal. Aaron is guessing that the guy wanted to avoid prison time, which was a large possibilty. We don't know what the plea deal offered. This was the crimminal trial. The truck driver is still facing civil trials for damages and injuries he caused. There are times I don't like that option of a plea deal, this is one of them. Enough of my soapbox.

Groceries are all bought. I have all supplies needed to make cookies and candies for sharing.

Got some more sewing on my dolly's clothes. More today, after being the desginated driver to the DDS for Michael.

Hugs,
Jana

Judi, I hope they figure out what to do about your eye problem.

Maryz, sounds like you went to town of the yard. It's always nice to get it done .

Jana, at least the guy will pay for his actions. If he plead guilty, he probably have to pay off any damages.
Hopefully it won't happen again.

Diane, I sure hope the doctors can figure out what is wrong with your sister.

My guild is giving the quilts away today. So I'm off to Snuggle day. A local church has put together a day for groups to give away items needed by social workers for their foster children. Our guild actually started it by going to them. So we will give away quilts, pillow cases, and receiving blankets.

Have a lovely day.
