Good morning!

We are cold! It is 20 outside! I added more quilts to stay warm. Typing with just barely a finger out from the warm quilts to say hello.

I got the December Wall hanging assembled and started to layer it together. Also have all the pieces ready for Sarah's too. She still has the trim I need so that will wait.

Not much new here, Gracie and Lila will be over for a visit. Gracie will help me make a batch of cookies, while her parents are busy with Michael. Best way I know of, to entertain her.

Hugs, from the frozen tundra of Utah,
Jana

Good Morning Girls

Oh boy, the wind is howling this morning! But at least it's dry.. no rain... until later tonight anyway.. then it turns to ********* snow! Guess I BETTER get out today!!!

Izzy.... Oh gosh... I wish you and your DH the most wonderful vacation! Does your DS come take care of the goats? Do you take DD with you? are you packing a sew machine? ENJOY every minute of it!!!

Lois... No, haven't started quilting the tree skirts, but I better get to it... I have 5 to do     I need to dig up backing for them and then decide how to quilt them. I'm not so great at Free-motion, so I'll have to do some practice first. Did you get the block 4 of the Snow men this morning?

Suzette.... Happy Birthday to your DH... Sounds like a bonus for you if you get to stop at Hobby Lobby when you go for lunch. I vote for Red Lobster! :D

Judi.... The older I get.. the more I hate driving in the dark too... funny how it never used to bother me, but now I plan things to be home before the sun goes down.

Becca... What wonderful news of the twins! I bet when Hadlee's heart heals up a bit more she will start gaining weight! And how fun that Levi stopped by with pictures and stories!

Flo.... Oh yuck... night sweats! Sure hope Vitamin E helps... Sweating all night can sure be miserable! (been there, done that)

Diane... Ok this is crazy why your posts keep going poof!!!

Sherry.... Good to hear you are feeling so much better. Have you put away your lawn mower yet?

Valerie... Your VP must value your opinion if she is asking you to meet/interview candidate. It will be nice to get a feel if the new director and you will get along. First impressions can mean a lot!

Cindy.... YEAH for Friday!!! How is that little baby doing? Ah, you have a "blue northern" coming through? Is that what they call it still when it gets cool down there?

Jana... Yikes 20* time to crank up the furnace! Tell me again where you got the skinny patterns? I should have written it down when you told me before. Not the I NEED another project!

Maryz..... I know you are out there some where! Have you have a nice quiet day!

Well, I guess if I am ever going to get OUT today, I better get moving. Got the backing pieced for the Dr. Seuss quilt yesterday and puttsed around a bit, cleaned up a few messes and made some more. Ordered some batting from WM and it came yesterday while I was at DDS so now I can get busy with the tree skirts and the Dr. Seuss quilt... better get that going, the baby is due next month!

wishing you all a Fabulous Friday

Good morning -

It's almost afternoon here! We got about 4" of snow and now all the outside plants are dead. Went from late summer temps to winter in no time flat. No sleep for me so my brain is mush and I'll keep this short. Just got off the phone with medical insurance - not fun to keep having to pay on stuff but at least I'm on this side of the dirt so I'll stop complaining. I hope to never be hospitalized again but was told this new heart rate medicine will only work a couple of years so I guess we'll start saving up for the next round.

I saw poor baby hummingbirds at the feeders Tuesday - I sure hope they all made it out of here safely as it was 9 degrees here this morning. Today my granddaughter graduates from Navy boot camp - her parents and sisters are outside of Chicago rooting her on. I'm so proud of her.

Becca - wonderful news on the twins.

Izzy - have a great time.

Have a wonderful and blessed day! xoxo Sharona

Well the wind has kicked up here in SoCal. There is a fire north of us in Ventura county.
It's supposed to be in the upper 80's with winds all day. Fingers crossed there are not more fires.

Chriss, are you having wind up there? My sister in Martinez said they were talking about cutting power because of wind. They were doing that here, but it creates more problems if there is a fire.

I did get a little hand sewing done yesterday on my Granny's Garden. I think I have 14 blocks done. I can't keep up with 4 a week. I'll just keep at it when I can. It will get done eventually.

Have a wonderful day.

Howdy, happy weekend.

Lori, no wind here. but we do have a fire burning near the entrance of Yosemite. the highway on the way to the park is closed. Is your fire the one that I saw on the news. Where the dump truck dumped a load of burning garbage in a neighborhood.? There are some planned power outages but we are fine for now. Crazy that the fires waited until October to start. My brother lives in San Clemente. Hope your sis is safe in Martinez. Boy that was an all over the board answer to your question. :D

Sharona, yay for the navy grad. I'm really proud of her.

Valerie, are you not interested ni the supervisor job? Kind of seems like an easy fit for you?

Becca, I love that Brodee outweighs Hadlee. Still keeping them in my prayers. Nice that Levi came by. those twins really have some great parents don't they?

Not much is going on here. the plan is to sew some binding this weekend and perhaps make a couple of trick or treat bags for my soon to be neighbors kids. Will also need to find some candy to put in the bags. I'm going to love having a family nearby.

You all have a fun weekend.
Chriss
