Good morning :) I survived yesterday crazy day :) /Got DD up and ut the door for center by 740; fed all the critters; went to the grocery store; back home made the cake; then work; put the Lasagna in oven as I dashed out door at 515 to music class with lil man; back home to my DS finishing getting meal together and on table for DH. What a wonderful meal with my crew. DH had a good bday. :) Love that man.

Today is my half day of work 10 to 2 and done. So not so bad. Will get more time with lil man. He does great. He usually sits part of the time next to me doing preschool games on my IPAD. He is learning shapes and colors and doing a great job.

No sewing yet in my crazy schedule. I need to get on my SS project. The pattern is laying on my ironing table. It is really cute. I want to make one for my room too. Maybe will make two at the same time :) So me and SS can be twins LOL

Well, nothing else new. Jana, you keep that snow and cold for now. :)

Flo where you going in a gown. At first, I was thinking nightgown LOL

Keep a stitching gals.

Becca so glad twins are back together. Will update church tonight:)

Hugs and prayers all.

Hi Izzy
So glad DH bday went so well. Bet he was pleased with that special cake. What a busy day for you.
I didn't do any sewing yesterday. Ended up just being lazy. Too hot to be outside. But fall weather is coming our way. We head to Texas at the end of the month. Don't remember just when Lyn heads that way. She is always ahead of us.
Time is going so fast!
Hugs to all.
Prayers for all as well. 🙏
Vel

Morning
Izzy we are going to a Knights of Columbus dinner dance. It's the only formal event they have all year. Joe forgot to tell me about it until Monday night.. The only dress shoes I currently own are silver. I have casual shoes I wear to church but none are good for a gown. Plus my gowns are all hemmed to wear with heals. My feet hurt thinking about wearing them. This made me realize I need to do some shopping.

Church picnic tonight...yay! No cooking.
Flo

Good morning,

Camping and on my phone. Nice getaway so far. We are 3 couples. Sat and read a book, (guess which one!😍). Walked the beach, explored WWII lookouts and gun emplacements, sat around campfire, enjoyed friends. Hoping rain holds off until Friday. Today we plan to go into town (Port Townsend) and look for trouble.

Have a happy day!

Good morning!

Monday's work at the church was awful. I didn't get home until almost 4. I think I will 'retire' from helping out at the end of the year. Yesterday was spa day for the dog - when we got there the shop called to say our groomer had the flu. Since we were already there and it's an hour's drive, they squeezed her in but we didn't get home until after 2. And today is Bible study so again I have no time! I did get my new heart monitoring device but of course our smart phones were too dumb to work the new technology (they're iphone 6s) I had to get a new one, which meant buying a refurbished phone for 1/4 of the price. I will never buy a new phone again! It looks brand new and works great. So now I have to start exercising - UGH. I have no more excuses since I can set alarms on the heart rate and make sure it doesn't get too high. Better run - which I had time for a proper visit! Hugs and prayers xoxo Sharona

Hi girls. I've been reading your posts from over the weekend this week. Finally might be able to reply.

Izzy - you make my head spin. So glad your DH had a wonderful birthday. Lil man can probably work an IPAD better than I - lol lol lol.

Vel - will you be here in time for the quilt show? We are actually getting our first cool front early next week. I can't wait. Only problem is that it won't last and will be hot again after.

Lois - enjoy your tune up at the back cracker's. I've never been to one.

Flo - when I needed dress shoes for my DD's wedding I went to several places but J.C. Penney's had a large selection of dress/formal shoes. Do you have a JCP close to you?

Judi - oh, what fun - an RV show! I love going to those. DH tries to keep me as far away as possible - LOL. You enjoy your day there.

Becca - I read that the twins are doing great. Good news.

Sad day here - a police officer was shot in the back of the head and was killed last Friday. He worked on my side of town. He was in his 40's and had a wife and 3 kids. He was very well liked in the community and did a lot that was above and beyond his police duties. That thin blue line....people had blue ribbons around their trees and I saw a house with blue Christmas lights on it. The funeral is at the Berry Center which is a HUGE school district auditorium/stadium and I passed it this morning on my way to work. They have 2 fire trucks with their ladders extended over the entrance and a big American flag hanging over the entrance from those ladders. Police cars everywhere in the parking lot with their lights going. Traffic was already bad around there and it was 7 AM so I'm sure there will be lots and lots of people there. It is so depressing. He was truly one of the extra good guys. If I was retired I'd be at that funeral myself. But I'm not retired so I must get busy here at the office.

I hope we can all fondle some fabric today.
