Chriss I have a bunt cake recipe that does not need a lot of icing Unless you are a sugar freak. Its a chocolate cherry cake with dark chocolate glaze as thick as you want LOL This cake is really rich and wonderful. You need to stop by sometime we will have this cake and coffee.
Maryq I think you are right except I do not like wine unless its chocolate rasberry. And I am already a member.

Good Morning Girls

Happy Tuesday

Cindy.... HAPPY GREAT GRAMMA DAY! Sending a little prayer that all goes well for Hannah and Gavin and that little boy arrives safe and sound!

Diane... This new format does take some getting used to... sure don't know why post disappear.... frustrating tho isn't it after you've typed a whole nice story to share! Don't be gone too long.. we want to hear about your QOV presentations!

Maryz… Oh gosh.. did I miss something about Vicki... do her kids know you are filing the petition? Or are your documents etc to help them. I so hope she can get some help. And good news that Ernie will be transferred to close to you. No wonder Bill forgot about the book he ordered for you.. I think he has a few things on his mind. I've seen the book on a Facebook group.... Sometimes I'm tempted.... but I know it would take me YEARS to ever finish one like that.

Flo.... Ok no more kissy face with Joe... the cold will just keep going back and forth!  :D

Chriss.... Kevin wasn't able to come yesterday, but then it rained all day so probably just as well, nothing we could have done outside anyway. Richard and Gloria don't talk about having kids? It's hard to know when we gramma's should urge or keep our mouths shut.

Judi.... Enjoy your nice quiet day! Haven't been to a casino in years... I'd rather buy fabric!

Becca.. Must be ESP.... I was doing sheets yesterday! Luckily I only have one bed to do!

Katy.... I'll put on my thinking cap and see if I can think of something that would entice someone to join a guild. I don't belong to one, so I'll think of what would get ME to join. Tea wouldn't do it, but maybe wine tasting

Lois... Did you end up with a lot of cake crumbs? Still edible right? Can't remember the last time I baked a bundt cake... I don't think I even have a bundt pan any more. I try not to buy cake mixes etc... I end up eating the whole thing myself.

Valerie... May is a perfect month for having a baby! It's before it gets hot! My Eli was due May 14, but came on May 6th! I tried 3 times for a May baby... ended up with 2 November and 1 January! So much for family planning!

Time for more coffee and some tidying up again..... Then headed downstairs to sew something. I did get gnomes fused to Christmas fabric for the tree skirt and might get them ironed on today. Had a good day yesterday... didn't even take a nap so I got a lot done. Finally cleaned the cotton wood dust off my screens so it's easier to see out the windows! LOL

Wishing you all a terrific Tuesday!

Good morning!

Windy and very cool outside. A few flashes of lightning that was a very far off distance south of us.

Friday will be lots of fun! Sarah and I are meeting up with Lori and her sister at a huge quilt show here. It is being held outdoors where the big tulip festval is in early Spring. Lori asked me about it a couple of weeks ago, so I got Sarah to go too. That didn't take much arm twisting! LOL! They offered classes, but all were full. I can see why - Jenny Doan from Missouri Star Quilts and Lori Holt from Bee in my Bonnet, were teaching several classes. Riley Blake Fabrics is sponsering the show, saying there will be over a thousand quilts on display, hanging in the gardens. These gardens cover a huge area. Michael has already been informed of the damage that will be done with the credit card! I know besides Riley Blake, Superior Threads will be there. Oh boy, oh boy!

I have a few more things in my cleaning list. Windows, at least the insides of them. I have yet to understand here how rain is so dirty. The screens and windows gather dirt from the raindrops, making my mountains hard to see.

I will work with one grandchild at a time, finishing up with their quilt. I might not start with the oldest, as he seems to gets everything, so may start with a middle child.

Not much here, laying low, resting my sore knee and hip.

Diane - don't give up - two things to watch for - the message saying others have posted and you may want to reply to their message and if the screen on your post is white, it hasn't posted. To you, it may look like it is there. You need to hit - push - or whatever, the submit button again - that is until your post has the light blue background. You post will slip in the queue with the other posts on top of yours. I watch for the message and the blue background before I leave the topic page. We love hearing about QOV, me especially having so many ties to the military.

Hugs,
Jana

Good morning!

Looks like I was in too big of a hurry yesterday and didn't make sure my message posted. I had an early appointment with the cardiologist. Then we headed to Greeley to watch a DGD in a volleyball game and didn't get home until 8.

Today is catch-up day - laundry and some cleaning. I'm still having brain fog issues so I will keep this short and sweet. Have a wonderful and blessed day! xoxo Sharon

Chriss, I put a wool project together. I've fused all the pieces and just need to spend time stitching everything down.

Busy day today. I'm meeting a friend for lunch, then pack, then have guild until 9pm. Here's a picture of what I'm taking with me to work on. Can't wait for the quilt show and meeting up with Jana and Sarah on Friday.

Have a great day.
