Good morning,

CHRISS - Oh, now you reminded me of the little rooster next door. He Err err errr'd at us all day long. We loved it! We named him Chanticleer and then they got rid of him. We really miss him so glad you are stepping up!

JUDI - sorry the weather isn't optimal, but sounds like you are making the most of it. And taking the house for $20 is frosting on your camping cake! Hope you can find some sunshine soon, though.

IZZY - happy Peducah!

CINDY - Cannon? That's not so bad. After working NICU for 20 years I saw some real doozies! Cannon wouldn't even be in the running for an odd name. You will love him even if they call him Hepzibah!

DELORES & DIANE - as the news showed Dorian bearing down on Myrtle Beach last night we were praying for you girls.

Yesterday I grocery shopped and did laudry. I just finished our 3 loads and Bill came home from Ernie's with 2 more loads from his house. Sigh. I can't believe it's Friday again already. Didn't we just have Friday?? I believe I'll clean up my sewing room today. Someone messed it all up! That Darn Cat!

Make your day a good one!

Good reports from docs yesterday. It was just a long day. Gyno says take it easy 2 more weeks, then good to go. Oncologist says start exercising.
Joe got lumber to start cabinets in kitchen, can't wait.

Good morning, It will be a marvelous day today.

I couldn't figure out why I couldn't find my post from Thursday. It's because I was looking for it in Wednesday because Friday hadn't been started yet. Where are you girls?

Well my job at work changed again. They won't be filling the position I was training for, instead I will be given other office duties. If I can stay busy for 8 hours I will be thrilled. My supervisor is not excited about it. They have made a couple of changes to the office staff without consulting her. She is a controlling miserable shrew of a woman ( are you picturing the witch who gave Snow White the apple) She is always negative and micro manages everything she can. She must be very unhappy. She doesn't even say good morning when she comes in. Every day I thank God I don't have her life.

Valerie, well even though the news was unexpected it will be exciting to have a baby in the family. I pray all goes well for them all. Are they in Cali? Glad they have jobs.

Maryz, sorry about Uncle Ernie, has Hospice been called yet? I really don't have a count of how many more years I have left to retirement. I'd like to stay till I am 62 and am eligible in January but can't collect my 401k for three years. Not sure what I am going to do yet. Either way I have faith in God that all will be ok.

Cindy, glad you reminded me about the closets. I will figure out how to remind Jerry that the homeless shelter would like to have his donations. I agree, people name their babies unusual names, but look at the names from the bible. Lot, Judas, Sampson. I wonder if their families thought those names were odd? I think Suzettes cement floor will look really nice too.

Katy, Jerry cooks down his tomatoes, adds a little onion and celery, strains it and freezes it in ice cube trays. then he takes those cubes and adds them to home made soups and stews. so good.

Izzy, happy anniversary, enjoy your time away.

Flo, you sure live large, Oncologist and gyno appointments on the same day. Someone deserves pie alamode after that.

Maryq, My mind is racing with ideas for secret Santa. Each year I get so excited about this swap I really appreciate you for doing it. Did you make your Target trip? Did you buy any clearance school supplies?

The septic inspection came back on Grandma's house. We need to replace the septic tank.Good morning, It will be a marvelous day today.

The septic tank didn't pass inspection at grandma's, it will need to be replaced. We are waiting for the home inspection to come back from the buyers agent. Will know more today. I am learning so much in this process.

It's off to work for me, happy Friday. You all have a great day,

Judi - congrats on your $20 win. Sounds like you are getting some relaxation in as well as having fun.

Maryz - laundry never ends, does it? I need to grocery shop, too, but am procrastinating - so tonights dinner will be Marie Callender's chicken pot pie. We managed to beat your Mariners last night - I have to admit that Don and I were pleasantly surprised. :D

Flo - so are you going to take it easy for 2 more weeks or will you start exercising? Decisions, decisions.

Chriss - so sorry about grandma's septic system. So you don't have your old job anymore but you don't have the position you were training for??? Are you nervous? Man, your Jerry is a great househusband.

Becca - glad you are not in the hurricane path. They can be monsters. We're still dealing with Harvey destruction in the Houston area as it was an 800 year flood, not to mention the wind. Even tho you have to cook to suit your company, you will enjoy them.

Our Hannah won't be induced until Monday. This weekend I must get busy on the baby's quilt. I guess I need to go to the store, too.

I hope we can all fondle some fabric today.

Good morning!

The smell coming in my house is wonderful. Wet alfafa and wet grass. We got about a half inch from last night's thunderstorm and it is raining again. Maybe fall is finally here!

Not much new here. Just same stuff different day. I will sew, Michael wil putter around on things here and the railroad.

Do something fun!

Hugs,
Jana

Good morning everyone.
Long day yesterday with meeting at work turned into a free for all. I am the chart auditor so have to bring errors to people's attention, that goes over like a dead horse. You can probably figure out how that meeting turned out.
Anyway, no other exciting news this AM. The baby's parents with my DD in Reno. Hoping they can get things together and figure out their own place. They are in a 2 bedroom home with My DD, DGS, DGD, their Dad and now baby mom. I think it's a bit crowded. Will start looking at baby quilt patterns this weekend. Maybe try to find something neutral. I have lots of girl fabric but nothing boy.
Feeling like a cold or something coming on. The receptionist came to work sick all week, which is nice to not have to cover the phones but now the whole office will likely get sick. Woke up about 3AM with chills. Feeling a bit more lively now so will go on to work. Boss texted me at 5:30 am!
Anyway, If I am going to get to work timely better get to getting. Have a great day.

Good Morning Girls

Looks like a nice day!!! Probably should get UP and OUT today.. Never did make it to Target yesterday... but am "feeling it" today... so in a little while I'll shower and get out for groceries... I'm now out of bread and milk and TP and getting low on coffee---serious trouble there!

First thing this morning I went over to SWAPS and posted a NEW SECRET SANTA HINTS page! So when y'all get time... go check it out and copy/paste into your own "reply" block! Next Friday will be LAST CALL for sign ups...

Valerie... Gosh I hope things work out well for your DGS and his GF... So stressful to have all those people living today in such a crowded space. Is your DGS and his GF working? I've heard housing/rents are really expensive in CA. Will be a little while before the ultrasound will be able to tell if it's a boy or girl... so relax and wait until you get that news to plan a quilt! Take a deep breath! It will all be okay!

Jana..... Ok I'll do something fun!!! I'll go get groceries

Cindy.... If Hannah has the baby on Monday... His birthdate will be 09-09-19 Easy to remember!

Chriss.... How do you feel about the new position? Is it better or worse than what you are doing now? Will you still have the Shrew as your supervisor? Don't you wonder why some people are so miserable? Don't you want to scream at her GET OVER IT! or something worse!
Sorry you have to replace Gramma's septic tank... that kind of work is not cheap!

Flo.... YEAH for all the good news at the Dr.s yesterday! AND better yet... new cabinets!!!!

Maryz .. Oh I bet you saw some funny names working in NICU. There was a baby boy at a hospital near me, the parents had a bet... if it was a boy. the father got to name it... ok so it's a boy and they named him Soda Pop!!! It was in the local paper with birth announcements. Poor Kid! To grow up with that name.

Judi.... Yeah for coming out $20 head! That's a couple yards of fabric! That's how I look at everything...

Becca.... Good to hear that the twins are stable. Do you suppose your company would bring some of their own food? I sure wouldn't know how to cook for a vegan!

Well, If I'm ever going to make it to Target, I bet get in the shower and get in gear.

Don't forget to go check out the SS HINTS and add yours!
And there's still time to sign up!

Good morning.

It's going to be another hot one. But for now the windows and doors are open. I wait until it's about 82-83 in the house to close up. I really like fresh air.

Judi, it's always nice to come away with more than you started with.

Maryz, since I don't have a sewing room, I try and clean up at the end of my sewing day. I bought a little cart from Target that holds my stuff, and it's on wheels. It's perfect for my stuff.

Chriss, bummer about the septic tank. At least it's something that is fixable. As for you boss, probably not fixable. I feel sorry for people that are angry all the time. It must be a constant struggle to always be looking for the bad in things.

Cindy, just when you think the laundry is done, more shows up. UGH!!

Jana, looks like the Utah weather is cooling down. It's going to be wonderful next week when I arrive. Will you be going to the Garden of Quilts? You live really close to Thanksgiving Point.

Well Wrigley and Jack have had their walk. Looks like we may cool down a bit next week. Fall is my favorite season. So looking forward to it.

Have a lovely day.
