Good Morning Girls

After a HUGE thunderstorm last night it looks like today is going to be beautiful! I should probably take advantage of the sunny skies and cool temps and get OUT OF THE HOUSE today. I haven't been out (on my own since August 18th) I really need a Target run, but may start small and just run into town to mail a couple packages. Found a cute "Chore Chart" for Eli that I want to send him... so he can help with chores

Lois.... Love seeing your pictures of the Gnomes on FB! Can't wait until Friday to get the next set!

Suzette.... You pulled up the linoleum all by yourself! You GO girl! I put sticky tiles in my laundry room 30 years ago... time to replace them.... it's a "One of these days" projects. I'd rather sew!

Chriss.... Hope the Chiro can get you all lined up again! After a couple days of trying to sleep in a hospital bed, I'm tempted to go to a Chiro too... most uncomfortable beds EVER! Is Marilyn a Sophomore this year? I'm trying to remember if she's the same age as Bren and Kaya. Did you get to see her over the summer?

Lyn.... How long will you be in Estes? I know how super busy you are with taking care of Mom and Dad, so I won't twist your arm for Secret Santa.

Flo..... Hope the Dr. releases you from "butt sitting" It sure does get old after a while. Has it been 6 weeks yet? After my hyster, Dr. wouldn't let me mow the lawn for the rest of the summer! But at least I could vacuum after 6-7 weeks. Call me crazy, but I do like to vacuum!

Maryz.... Sounds like just about everything is getting back to normal. And I'm sure Scottie is looking forward to a bath! not... Maybe they should find something else to put on the TV for Ernie... like some soft music instead of jail movies! Any news from Vicki's kids over the weekend?

ANN..... So good to hear from you and that Paul is doing well.... Now if you can just keep him from talking! How about a big whipe board! It would sure be hard for ME to keep quiet, so I can only imagine. Prayers continue for him and you too!

Diane.... GOOD NEWS that Dorian is going to miss you... or at least the worst of it any way. Don't Mess with Our Vets!!! Hope all goes well on Friday for Presentation!

Valerie... Doesn't it feel good to get RID of stuff.... I've been waiting until it cools down to go out in the garage and see what I can get of out there.. Might post a few things on the local FB Garage sale site. I wonder if they don't let your scouts go out to ask for donations as a safety issue..... it's scary to let kids be out and about these days. I worry about my Grandkids even walking to the park.

Jana. Minnesota just passed a HANDS FREE law. You cannot have your phone in your hand while driving. If you don't have "syncable" car, you can wear one ear bud while you are on the phone. It doesn't prevent everybody from holding a phone, but if pulled over you get a nasty ticket!! As always prayers for your EMS kids!

Kathy..... How you are feeling????? I think I missed it while I was "out of it" Did you get really sick too?

Well, girls, I think I'm going to get butt in gear, jump in the shower, maybe run to town.. or see how ambitious I feel and make a Target run---not desperate for anything but need to get OUT... I actually did some sewing yesterday. Finished sewing some bibs and made 2 flannel blankies. Have 4 more to put together. There was a gal on a FB "fabric destashing" group that works near me, so I bought a HUGE bag of flannel (the GOOD stuff too) from her and I'm anxious to finish it all up so I can start my gnomes!

Wishing you all a Terrific Tuesday[/u]

Judi texted me this morning while I was out on my walk. She said they had a good night in a Casino campground. Woke up to hard rain, but that can't dampen her high spirits at finally being on the road again! They have 6 hrs of driving today to get to their destination in northern Upper Peninsula. She said she'll be doing yo-yos in the truck as they travel. And she may have internet tonite so she can catch up on all of us and our doing's. So trot out your best stories so she has something interesting to read!

Ann, good to hear from you. And good to hear Paul is doing well. Guess it's your turn to get in everything you always wanted to say but couldn't squeeze it in! When you are ready to post and hit SUBMIT you need to look to see if your post is actually posted. If someone else posted while you were typing, your post is held back and there is a notice that tells you that and asks if you'd like to add a comment about that new post. You can add a comment or not, but you still need to hit SUBMIT a second time.

Jana, I second that plea. My DH was almost hit by a distracted motorist. One of the other
fireman on scene threw a C-Collar at the driver to get his attention just before he hit him. He actually made contact with DH, but didn't knock him down. Needless to say the Police hauled him off for reckless driving.

Chriss, it was nice spending some time with the kids. Can't wait to see my son next week. My sister will be coming up also. It's her first time meeting Jonathan. I have a full weekend planned for his birthday on the 15th.

Maryz, sounds like you are finally getting back to normal. It's always nice when it's finished and you can sit back and enjoy.

Well I have already walked the boys. It was getting hot, so we went a little early. Supposed to be 97 today. I still have the windows open, but will be closing up early today. I need to do some cleaning, and I have a guild board meeting tonight. DH is playing golf this morning. We'll probably go out for lunch when he gets home. So I better get moving.

Have a lovely day. Stay cool.
