Good morning Lois and those that follow.
I have to fast this morning for a medicine check. Yuck!! Nothing but good old water. The nurse told me I can have black coffee but I can't stand that. Have to have creme in my coffee. Yesterday I did get 2 of the 3 quilts ready to be quilted. These are the memory quilts for my friend. I used the wrong fusible interfacing for the t-shirt parts and didn't like how it felt. So, I am taking it off. Today hubby has another appointment and then I can get to work in my studio. I did get my tattoo yesterday. It is the breast cancer ribbon with the nickname my father gave me before he passed away. Have a wonderful day.
Lois - enjoy your day off. It sounds like you have it all planned out

Good Morning Quilters
Lois it sounds like you have your day all planned. How is your foot doing these days?
Suzette, I love cream in my coffee, too. But must be the REAL thing, not the powder stuff. Yuk
I've been busy working on my Easy Street quilt, a Bonnie Hunter pattern. Slow going!! I've also been cutting up a bunch of cotton shirts I bought at the Good Will. These will be made into several cute quilts, nothing like recycling. 100% cotton shirts are getting harder and harder to find.
Enjoy the day, and to quote Vicky "Keep Lookiing Up"

Morning all
I am feeling ever so slightly better today, I managed to shower without getting out of breath
The pollution hasn't gone away and I'm hoping for rain to damp it down, but who knows if that'll happen
Lois - enjoy your day, sounds like mine except my asthma won't allow me to run errands or do uglies so I guess I'll just have to skip straight to the sewing part
Suze - hope your appt isn't too late, don't want you fasting too long....luckily I only drink black coffee so i'd be fine if I was fasting like you......are you going to show us a piccie of your tattoo....hope hubby's treatment is going well, prayers and love sent xx
Sue - I love recycling too......you can get some wonderful things out of other peoples throw aways
today I'm working on my blocks for the red/white swap. Charley is home from her school trip later today, shes looking forward to sleepeing back iin her own bed, she said the mattress on the bed at the hostel they stayed in was like a wafer, so she hasn't slept well....
Well I'd better get stuck into some sewing while I've got the breath to do some, love and prayers to you all, I'll try to pop back later and catch up with more of you xxxx

Out/about yester, snowed all day, melted as soon hit ground. Busy reading a novel, for book club, that I join see if it can motivate me to read.. Maybe, if I have obligation, will make the time.
Planted bachelor buttons indoor, don't think soil be ready for May.. A quilter invited me to weed her garden, the thought of being out in the warm weather really sounded terrific.
Snowbirds have come back to Manitoba from Arizona or Texas, and they had their winter coats.

Re: Friday April 4, 2014
Good morning all! Had a great time with my friends from work yesterday. We talked and ate for 2 hours. We usually get together once a month. My phone is out again yesterday and today and it is somewhere in the outside not in my house. It has happened 4 times this winter and before this year it hadn't been out 4 times in 33 years. My neighbors phones aren't out, but I can't get it through to the phone company that something is wrong on my pole. The line from the pole to my house is underground. I need the landline because of my Lifeline or I would just switch to cell phones. They are supposed to get it fixed today. We'll see.
Suzette - Hope all goes well for DH with his chemo. My DH had a pic line put in for his chemo also and everything was fine. I will keep him in my prayers.
Cindyg - I will keep Don in my prayers for his surgery next Wednesday. Please keep us posted.
Jules - So sorry to hear about all your pollution. Glad you are feeling a little better.
Well, time to go get some breakfast before I start today's chores. Everyone here wants me to get a new dog soon and keep sending me pictures or lists of suggestions. My minister's wife volunteers at the shelter and she gave me a list of ones she thought I might like. I plan on getting a new pup soon, but I guess I am just still sad after having to take Otis back to the Rescue Shelter.
Have a good day everyone. You are all in my prayers.
Sherry

Good morning! Yippee, I am back to my normal morning routine. Coffee and QIAD forum with my friends. Looking out my window this morning, I miss the Texas palm trees. Spring has not sprung here just yet. As the days go by, each one with bring a new glimpse of the Spring sprouting and popping out everywhere. I walked over to our site yesterday and took a picture of my little flower bed. Tulip leaves just peeking out. Puddles of water in the grass that is really trying to get greener. Buds peeking out on the trees.
Oh, yes, and little robins hopping about everywhere. I don't expect the hummingbirds will be here for a little while. Last year they were buzzing our heads waiting for us to get the feeders out. Also, my tulips were almost finished blooming. What a difference from last year. Mother nature is much later due to the horrible winter they all had around here.
Well, enough already. I must get back to my coffee and start dreaming about what quilt project will be first on my list when I get to start sewing again. LOL
