Good morning Lois and those that follow.
Today is my second to the last radiation treatment. Tomorrow after my last one hubby is taking me to dinner to celebrate. Yesterday evening I went out to my studio and cleaned the machine that I quilt with and switched it with Nina the Bernina. After treatment today I am hoping to go out there but I am not sure. I didn't sleep well last night. It seemed like every hour on the hour I was looking at the clock. That makes for a long day at work. Have a wonderful day.
Lois - I haven't been in Kohl's in a couple of years. Ours had gotten messy. The folded things were never folded, etc.

Good Morning all! I am finally feeling half way human after that nasty virus. UGH. I had to work and extra shift because we were short handed...only one day off this weekend. Am doing laundry and some housecleaning but mostly catching up on recorded tv shows. I have the PBS Quilts of Valor special on in the background for company. I am going to ask my husband if he wants to make one. He has never sewn but I think he would be very good at it.
suzette58- I hope your son feels better soon. Sounds like you have been productive! I made one SP block and it took days...when I got it finished, it was waaay too big. I was so disappointed! I have never used that site for patterns...back to the drawing board! Congrats on the end date for your treatments!
FarmChick- Mending fences! You are such a cowgirl! Did you find new calves? I bet they are adorable!
Quiltmom- I love beagles too! Otis sounds like a perfect match for you! I am so happy you have found each other. Post a pic!
scrapquilter48- It was 87 here in CA today and I do not miss shoveling snow at all!
Marilynsgrammy- How did your plans go for the day? Were you able to get some sewing done?
auntjana- congrats on the new baby chicks! I am not a farmgirl at all... I cannot imagine caring for twelve fuzzy babies!
maryq- Sewing all day? Good for you! Have you filled your room mates room with empty boxes yet? I would! LOL
grammiequilts- I love to send time on the beach here in CA. It is so relaxing wth the sound of the surf... and the sunsets... WOW!
Quiltgram8- I hope today finds you feeling better. The virus I had really sapped my energy. I am still feeling like a wrung out dishrag.
Becca- I am glad to hear that Spring is coming to everyone! I hope you enjoyed your sunny warm day!
purrfect-lady- Mmmm cupcakes! You sure deserve one for all the work on your Crazy Jane! I don't think I could manage all of those blocks, though I hope to try someday. I keep meaning to get a book and start organizing... but I am afraid...lol.
momof6- I hate cleaning the tub... there is just no easy way to get it done! We have two huge ones in this apt and it is my least favorite weekly job! Hope your back feels better!
Jules- Hugs for you and your sisters! Your sister will change after what she has been through, I know I did when my husband died suddenly. It took years to find my new normal and 6 years later I still cannot believe I survived those dark days. Just don't stop pushing your way in. She needs you even if she doesn't know it.
joan6630- Your quilts are GORGEOUS! Welcome! I am new here and already love this bunch!
FlorenceM- I chose this name because Sue and Susan are always taken. Sooz was the next best thing!
WeeOne- Insurance companies- UGH! Hang in there... this too shall pass!
fabricgirl- QUILT SHOW? Awesome!!!! Have fun!!!
Well, off to fold clothes. I am going to need another cup of coffee too. I didn't get much sleep today because my husband's mother took us out to lunch for his birthday. We ate at Lucille's BBQ...was sooo good!
Hugs to all!

I have a busy day away from the house today.
I'm going up to my MIL's and then over to Shannon's to get Emily. She spent the night there. We are going to be going to a store that sells a bunch of primitive things. Shannon is redecorating her house in the primitive style. It should be a fun day. I only wished I could fit in a trip to see the chiropractor. I may call her this morning and see what she has.
It's so dark this morning. I like the time change in the evening but for a while it's hard in the morning. I also don't like having to adjust my sleep.
Happy sewing,
Vicky

We are off to the gym today and back to camp. I will make spagetti sauce for super tonight and sis will do salad and garlic bread... might work of my Christmas blocks today...need to fuse a bunch of applique shapes for the next blocks. Did 3 more flowers for the hexxie quilt.

Good Morning!
Just a quickie this morning as we slept late. The dog alarm didn't go off as usual.
SUZETTE - so happy that the last of your radiation treatments is tomorrow. Sweet of your hubby to take you out to celebrate. You deserve the dessert menu, too!
SHERRY - I think Otis is a most perfect companion for you! He's a lucky dog.
CHICKIE - You brought back a memory of me 'helping' my dad mend fences when I was little and I even have a photo. Not sure how much help I was though as I had a death grip my doll, and couldn't reach to top of the fence posts!
CHRISS - The best laid plans . . . Hope your next weekend sticks to the script!
SOOZ - glad you are better. I think my DH would be good at piecing, too, as he is a very exact person. But he does do the quilting. He's also a computer person and found out he could put a Q-bot on the LA formerly known as MY longarm! Now he does all our quilting - except freehand stuff.
SCRAPS - Glad your kitten is getting out and about - checking on the neighbors!
VICKY - enjoy the day! I'd like shopping at the Prmimitive Place.
BECCA - my DDIL belongs to a charitable quilting group at her church. She loves it! She does all their bindings for them.
LOIS - What a challenge - to learn the new job AND the computer! Sending good karma to you!
IZZY - Hope you find a spoon!
I had a very sleepless night last night - again. And just as I was starting to doze off at 4:30, the dog 'yurped'. So I had to roust myself to get out of bed and tend to that.
I am pouring on the coal now with my Jane quilt. I only have 13 blocks left to do (not counting the triangle edge blocks.) I want to get them finished by tomorrow and get the last of the rows together on Wed. Because we have some busy non-quilting days coming up and then we need to do things to make ready to hit the road again. And I REALLY want it together before we leave.
Planning a mom/daughter day this coming weekend. I can't wait to spend some time with Autumn - just the two of us.
Gotta go!
