Wednesday, March 5th

Post by suzette58 » Tue Mar 04, 2014 9:56 pm

Good morning everyone.
Well, we have now re- financed the house and that part is over. I went to radiation but they were running over 2 hours late. I ended up leaving. My husband needed some stuff from the store for his tummy. He is finally feeling better. I think he is staying home one more day. But, when he does go back he is going to report what happened. The roads are much better around here after the snow. I am so ready for Spring. I am almost done with the baby quilt. I found a place in the quilting that I have to fix and then it will be done. Have a wonderful day.

Good morning to everyone I finally got 3 hours sleep last night. My doctor did several blood tests and hopefully I will hear from them today.
Mom was more satisfied yesterday, I think she is adjusting to her new surroundings. Ofcourse I worry about her.

I worked all day on the Harley Eagle...he is all fused. I have to make the Harley logo sign under him and then start sewing it all down in tiny zigzag. It will take forever! Over all I'm pleased with how it is turning out. It feels good to sew again, and I'm trying to keep things picked up in my sewing room as I go along.

Shannon was coming over again tomorrow to help in the sewing room....but Tia called and asked to come on Thursday instead of today so we may end up just visiting. We will see, it's hard to work in there with the babies here....I want to be with them!

I am feeling so much better. Not totally 100% yet but so so much better!

Caleb started his Wegmens job last night. He is working from 6:30-midnight. He had an interview yesterday with a construction company to head a crew for roofing. He has worked on roofs for three summers but he is not yet 18, this man has had him work for him before but now it would be "official." Next month he will be 18.

My DH, got to love the man, bought a new tool box so I have that and a ton of his tools in my family room...I guess 4 degrees is too cold to do this kind of thing outside. I told him that Tia and Shannon would be here tomorrow and it really can't be in here. Besides we have church here this Sunday and I need to get started cleaning to house for that. My son in law(Shannon's husband) just came back from Haiti and we asked him to come and give a presentation on his trip. They are very active in their church so I was kind of surprised(pleased) when he said yes for a Sunday morning.

My stopping by this morning ended up being a book. Forgive me my chattiness.

Prayers for all in need and joy for all those rejoicing,
Vicky

Good morning all! Tess, I worked in long term care for 13 years, caring for the elderly who needed more care than their families could safely provide. I know your decision was a difficult one but it was made with love and that's the most important thing. Staff are trained to help with the adjustment and will provide the support your Mom needs. Even when people appear not to adjust in families eyes, more often than not, they are doing better than families think. Hugs!

I am finally feeling almost human, I should be able to return to work tonight. Am unsewing part of my SP block and hope to finish it before I go to bed. I wish I had found my mistake before I repeated it four times...lol.

All who are suffering physically, mentally, or spiritually.... You are in my thoughts.

Good Morning all. It is just getting light here,,,,very cloudy and cold. it is supposed to rain all day. To be honest I have had enough. But it is cold and snowy at home and Ken wants to stay, So we will stay,,,have been going to thr gym but eating all this food at camp is not helping. Do not know if we will go today,,,,I just want to veg out after 2 days of going, and going and going, Eating out and going.

So I am begging off going anywhere today even the gym. Might try to do the FPP block again. Will try to find a good recipe for tortallini soup and make it for supper. I have all the soup ingredients but need some seasoning ideas.

Talked to DD last night and the kids are all better,,,everyone is back in school. She has booked me for 5 days with the kids. They are going to Vegas, We will probably take them camping as it is in JUne,,,then we might go out and see my son and Grandduaghter in Maine, it is a bit up in the air tight now.

Well I need coffee..and answer some messages, Hope you all have a good day and warm up...XXXOOO

Good Morning!

SUZ - sorry you had to leave your radiation appt. I imagine with all the cancellations they've had to do they were trying to fit everyone in. Sorry your DH is still feeling a little bum. I'm so glad he's planning to report the food poisoning incident. I hope the restaurant figured it out before anyone else got sick, too. Bummer about finding a problem in the quilt. But sounds like it will be an easy fix. I just had the same thing happen to me.

LOIS - If I were at work all day, I know what I'd do when I got home - collapse!!

TESS - Your mom will adjust soon. And hope you are soon feeling better.

VICKY - nothing feels as good as feeling good after feeling bad! Enjoy the feeling! I'm excited to see your eagle. I just finished 3 big machine applique projects. I'm not looking forward to you doing that! lol! Enjoy the babies! Congrats to Caleb!

SOOZ - oh- four times! Poor you! But I think everyone here has felt THAT frustration!

JUDI - I sure know how you are feeling! However, this trip, it's DH that's so bored. I'm ready to go home, but I'm content with having my DJ quilt to work on. He has nothing but his computer and a couple books. He could go over to DD's house and put up shelving and do a few other things, but SIL ticked him off so he stopped working on the honey-do list. So I sew and listen to my audio book. I think he's ready to leave but we're paid up to March 18th. And he won't give up paid camping.

So, that's the plan for today - I will sew and DH will fidget. The weather is warming up and we'll take supper over to Dd's house late this afternoon.

Sew long for now Sew-Sisters!

Suzette you had to re-finance, least a roof over your head.. Life is unpredictable. My stepmother bought lunch, always complaining to no end. She has everything, spoiled like a brat.. And yet she continues to be rude.. No one likes her in the senior complex.. And then, there are those of us, who find things to busy ourselves and go merrily without complaining. And have pages of useful information to share...

Winter is coming to an end here.. Take time for everything to melt.

Good morning..

Suzette, glad DH is feeling better..food poisioning is so so awful...glad also that the baby quilt is almost done...

Lois, how nice to come home with no plans.. gosh, what to do...

Tess, hope the bloodwork comes out ok.. glad your mom is adjusting... change is hard for everyone..

Vicky, glad the Harley quilt is moving forward. enjoy the grands...Personally I'm glad you feel well enough to be chatty...

Sooz.. glad you're feeling better....sorry you have to un-sew... I have to re-do my SP block too... I tried making the one Velda made me last go-round.. well I made it too small...so this weekend I will have a do over...we sure are using up a lot of thread...

Judi, I am so glad the grands are doing better...what a huge blessing...hope you get to come home soon...and I hope the snow melts before you get there.

Maryz...13 more days of camping... that's two weeks and it will go quickly... sorry about the job stuff for Bill...

Becca, hope the round of tests figure everything out... congrats to DGS and the upcoming wedding.

Leah, wonder how long it will take to melt.. sorry your MIL isn't happy... really sad to be her isn't it?

lately I've noticed the girls at work only talk and don't listen... some are so into themselves that when one talks the other turns the conversation back to themselves and they don't respond to the person who was talking... often times it is to brag about how their whatever is better or to trump the other in some way or to say how they have it so much worse...hope that makes sense... but what I want to say is if in any way I ever skipped over what you said or turned it back to me I truly apologize...I care about what goes on with you all...

we have a fox.. it is grey and eating our cat food.. so Jerry has been looking out the window and singing that song.. what the fox says... all morning... I live with crazy people...lol...

I need to go get some gas so I had best get moving.. you all have a superb day.
