Good morning Pals
please forgive me for not visiting you for coffee/tea this week. It has been a full week of lalaland and trying to focus on getting things going and being places that I need to be collapsing when I get home.
My tooth was pulled on Monday in what I thought would just be a tooth pulling but after a week of starting to heal something is wrong. All week long I have been living on Costco Protein shakes (no straws), yogurt, applesauce and hummas. Anything I can get to the back of my mouth or keep on the right side without going anywhere near the lack of tooth space. It sends me through the roof with an earache, headache and a jaw that throbs from what feels like hitting a nerve. Talked to the Dr through Jennifer his assistant because he didn't come in yesterday :( The synopsis is without seeing me ... I could have more bone chips that were hiding and are now moving. That I have a dry socket and he also might think I am healing slowly. He sent in a presc for Antibiotics and Jenifer said she would check on me Sunday. I am already supposed to go back on Tuesday to get the stitches out but I am hoping to go in on Monday early as Rob has Dr.s on Monday pm.
With the help of Debbie and Suzette and FB opinions that I greatly appreciated I did get the March Lotto started for anyone that wants to join in. You will need to make at least 2 Merry-Go-Round blocks in the shades of the Rainbow. With the help of Cindy and her gallon bag of crayons and another 1/2 gallon of colored pencils I was able to draw out the rainbow and post it. Trying to figure out colors when you are high on pain and sleeping pills is FUN!!!! But I do think what I posted will be a great start for your creativity to begin. The pattern is located in the Free Pattern section at the top of the page. Isabell (Xochitl(Sochil)) and I started making our blocks over at Jamie's house on thursday. I thought I would be OK but the jaw started throbbing and my brain crashed after I got the Red/Orange section made. I will try to finish it and post it soon.

I have been giving it my best shot to read up on what is going on but I am so sorry I start but then fall asleep :(
I hope you all have a great weekend in store and I hope it includes playing with some fabric.

HUGE HUGS and LOVE to everyone!!!!

Good morning Teresa and those that follow.
I love my dogs but sometimes they can really get on my nerves. Hubby came home from work about a half hour early. So we actually got to go to bed together. Our older dog started whining and would not stop until I came out on the couch with him. Ignoring him didn't work, our house is to small to have kennels for the dogs. Then the same dog woke me up whining. Maybe he is having a bad day who knows? Today is the baby shower for my nephew's baby. I am not sure if I am going to make it. The fatigue is really starting to kick in. I somehow got some energy and cleaned my house yesterday. I am lucky my house is small so it does not take long to clean it. If I don't go to the shower I am going to piece the backing for the baby quilt and get it layered and maybe even start quilting it. Plus I have a few rounds of the Maytag Mambo to do. Have a wonderful day.
Teresa - I hope your tooth troubles clear up soon. I can't wait to see you block lotto sample.

Happy Saturday!

TERESA - You have really had a time of it with your tooth. Tooth pain is so - well - painful! I hope the antibx do the trick for you. It does sound infected.

SUZETTE - I hope you feel better soon. But if not, I'm sure everyone at the shower will understand. You need to listen to your body and heed what it's telling you. I hear you about dogs! Ours whimpered to go out about 3am. Dad took him for a walk but when they got back, Scottie wanted breakfast. And when he didn't get it, he barked and whimpered some more until he finally figured out he wasn't going to get it!

LOIS - you have a flannel bucket? Interesting . .

JUDI - congrats on the FPP victory!! What is FPP? I get PP is probably paper piecing, but "F"?? I've missed some days while traveling . . . And I feel for the guy who lost his awning. However, anyone with an RV knows better than to go away and leave their awning up, especially with "weather" forecast. We saw someone in Yellowstone campground once who left their awning up and it was flapping big time when wind came up. We knew they were going to lose it so we took it down for them. They came back and were furious with us! We were expecting a thank you for possibly saving them at least $1500!

CINDY, you could write to your insurance commissioner. I'd give it at least one more try.

Yesterday I made four Dear Jane blocks. Yay! Now I have 94 with 131 left to go. I'm not sure what all we're going to do today but will probably see DD this evening. She's taking classes in HR management on Saturdays during the day.

You've all listened while I asked for prayers for my brother, Jim. Well, you might remember that his wife, Terry, is a quiet member of our forum. Her 70 yo sister, severely brain damaged from being hit by a truck at age 7, died yesterday from pancreatic cancer. Terry could use a prayer today if you have one to spare.

i hope everyone gets thread on them today!

Good Saturday Morning:

Thank you, Lyn for stopping by with updates. I have been thinking about you everyday. I sure hope that this job ahead of you goes better than expected. Hope there is a good light at the end of the tunnel. Hugs to you.

Teresa: So sorry that you are having so much trouble with the tooth. I can’t handle pain killers, so I can only imagine what you are dealing with. Hope things start getting better soon.

Suzette: Hoping that your energy level gets better. Sure hope you pay attention and don’t over do anything. Good luck with the quilt.

Lois: Have fun shopping. What’s with the flannel bucket? Is this a saying that I am not familiar with?

Today is a “Peddlar Show” over in Corpus Christi. I always go with my friend, Donna. She has to work until noon, then we will go after that. It’s a huge show with all sorts of vendors and goodies to see and tempt you to buy. I am looking for a neat pair of flip flops. They have same really cute ones here in South Texas. Lots of them with all sorts of bling. :)

Wednesday at our sewing group, I worked on making some more pot holders with some neat “RV sayings” panel fabric from my SP from last fall (Maryz) I loved the two she gave me at Christmas in the Secret Santa Swap. My pot holders in our RV really needed updating / replaced I mean. So I have them just about finished. Some other ladies were working on a project with the plastic mesh and yarn. They were making some cute little snow flakes. One of the girls brought up to show us a tissue holder that she had made. It was a bird house with a small little bird perched on it and pretty little flowers to decorate. It’s amazing the cute things that can be made with the plastic mesh.
A couple other ladies were doing like me, and working on personal projects. We all missed Lyn and wished she was there with us.

Well, that’s about all I know from here. Just want to wish everyone well and send my prayers out for all of you facing difficulties of all kinds.

Hugs
Velda

I'm so glad I have computer to learn, placed in the far wall where I built myself huge computer desk, all my paperback storage. For last night SXS neighbor was angrily acting up, sounded like his father couldn't handle him, and was about to get assaulted. Police for some reason can't do anything about him, and courts keep dismissing assault charge by his girlfriend. Then, he got behind driver's hollering, father coaxing he stop, he would drive, no luck, father quickly scouted in passenger side and off they went. They returned 10min. later all was quiet. I beginning to think he goes somewhere to get meds for his anger control. Sad to see a young life wasted. Or maybe his Jan. court case was suppose to be remanded and he just received news, all thinking he had escaped jail...

I wouldn't want to be in father's shoes. Imagine 68yrs. and having to deal with such a 38yr old handicap. My poor ktn, curled up scared trying to sleep.. He tries to be brave for me..

UH NEVER lol after all I have been through. I told them maybe this summer gives my brain time to forget all the pain I went through LOL

Lea hope neighbor sleeps in today and you have quiet day. I am so glad living in country and no neighbors. I use to live in neighborhood and stuff like that all the time going on at the end of street. My old neighbors were very quiet thank goodness, but still glad moved out into woods. The only squaling I hear is goat babies calling to their mommas LOL

Well gotta get DD done so off I go.

Good Sunny Morning!!!!!!

No snow due until later next week! Today is knitting class. All the backs & arms are done & I just need help with the front's necks opening. Before that the Sat uglies.

Teresa......I'm so sorry to hear that tooth is still bothering you. Hope the meds work asap!

Suzette....I'm sure your family will understand if you don't make it. When it comes to cleaning I'm really enjoying my smaller house.

Lois....did you find any jeans? What are you looking for in your flannel bucket?

Maryz.....I'll pray for Terry. That sister must have received good care to live to 70. I'm sure Jane enjoyed coming out to play.

Velda....the Paddlar Show like it could be a lot of fun. Hope you found the item of your dreams.

Lea.....what a challenge living next to that guy. I hope you keep your face hidden while he's raving. Safety first.

Izzy....I wish you a very pleasant sewing day....don't answer the phone. Sorry you have a lame goat...sending a healing prayer. I've picked out my block for the red swap Martha Washington.

I'm off to dress & read the paper on line.

Love & Prayers to all........Kathy

I had a great post thern the internet quit and it dissappearred with it...so I will wish everyone a great day and prayers for those with troubles....XXXOOO
