Won't see pictures until Sunday or Monday, depending what time I get back... Tell you all about it... It's just too bad you couldn't make it, we could had a hotel lunch buffet tog.

Pamper the fur ball Pitou, before I leave, cause if I ignore him, when I return he ignores me, silent treatment. I put his toy mouse in his food dish, he refuses to eat on the portion where mouse.

Have a nice day, lots of sewing don't look at the weather bound to ruin your wknd.

Good Morning cotton Pals

Where is everyone today I have not seen this forum

all sick of and more on its way.

I have to get out and get some groceries in I havn't gone in
about two weeks. I am running out of everything.

I might take a ride down to where the quilt guild meets
just so that I know where it is.

I don't know if my husband will take the ride with me
because he has a COLD. He said last night am I a bad patient.
I said no not at all you are just a man with a cold . boo hoo

Have a wonderful day everyone.

More snow last night :-( Very very tired of the white stuff.
I realized this morning I have not left the house in over a week.
I'm taking a trip to the Health Food Store this morning with hubby to get some powerful probiotics, I have some but they are old and I want the strongest I can get.

I am on Flagyl for those that asked. It is a nasty drug. They didn't want to put me on the vancomycin so they have something to put me on (if) I have a relapse. Nice thought but I guess it happens a lot.

I hope to get in the sewing room today sometime. We will see what today brings.

Looking up,
Vicky

Gary was looking out our bedroom window this morning and he saw...drum roll here TWO Robins!! We have more snow coming in later today. The guys will also be picking up some hay today. Let's hope the snow is slow so they can get it done. Don't know how far they have to go for it.

The grands are coming today for some sledding. I need to pack up the scissors and rotary cutters and such to be safe. Also will be doing our bedding and some other cleaning to get ready.

Sure hope the parrot isn't saying what I think she is ..oh no, oh no.
May have to get the bar of soap..for who ever taught her that.

Finished my UGRR blocks yesterday. Sashing strips are next. Still haven't located the blue fabric with the pink pigs for the backing for the red tractor/farm quilt for the youngest grandson. I think the fabric may be with the book someone on here is missing.

Have a good day.

Sandy, wondering how much she can get done while looking for robins.

Just a quick stop in this morning. The service here at the house went very well. I had 17 guests and we celebrated DH's life. It was perfect. We sang Harold's favorite hymn, and told stories about him. At the end I played a recording of a song from Rio Bravo that Dean Martin and Ricky Nelson sang. That was one of DH's favorite John Wayne movies. A friend of his had put it on a CD for him. I got a couple of food trays from Kroger's and we had a good time talking. My minister and his wife has been great through all of this. Pepper got lots of attention yesterday and was exhausted when everyone left. She had a small seizure this morning, but seems alright now. I think yesterday just overwhelmed her. Please pray for her and me. I know she has kidney disease, but I can't lose her too yet.

Well, thanks for letting me go on and on. We are getting more snow tonight. I am like all of you and just so sick of it. Luckily this week it will start to warm for awhile, but that means the melting will start. This has been a very weird winter.

Have a good weekend all. Prayers for all who need them. I need to go back and read the posts I have missed. I also hope to get some sewing done.

Good Morning!

LYN, Happy Anniversary to you, too, yesterday! I had to laugh when I read your post that your DH chose your anniversary for, you suspect, reasons of his own, i.e., being able to remember it! That's EXACTLY what happened here! lol!

We celebrated by being at DD's all day long yesterday while she was at work. We chipped away at the massive honey-do list that her DH isn't up to. Like installing smoke detectors, fixing a plumbing leak, repairing a light fixture, etc. Then I made spaghetti dinner for us all. Autumn seemed so grateful.

LEAH - enjoy the show!

DELORES - glad you're getting out today and hope you get to check out your guild meeting place. Hope it's not too far.

LOIS - MORE snow?? Even I would be tired of it by now! How is your leg feeling? are you done with P.T. yet?

KATHY - be careful shoveling. Don't overdo! I missed some posts - OK, a lot of posts - but did see some chatter about you and your two girls getting together. Would that be here in Austin by any chance?

VICKY - unfortunately, C-diff is hard to get rid of in your home. Cleaning surfaces with alcohol doesn't kill it and it has a long "shelf life". also, hot water and soap are better at washing hands for this than the disinfectant hand cleaners. But the secret to not relapsing is to get everything disinfected with a strong cleaner. Repeatedly. Just what you don't want to do when you feel so pukey!

SANDY - happy Robin Day!! And a sledding party at Gramma's sounds heavenly to me - being a kid at heart! Have fun!

TINA - so happy to hear the good news about your dad! How is he feeling now? and how are YOU feeling?

MARY Q - Autumn sends you a big hug!! She thinks you must be a pretty nice person, despite your name! lol!

Today our campground is almost full. Normally it's about 20% occupied at this time of year. We forgot it's a holiday weekend. And good weather. We're going to make a BBQ'd pork roast tonite in our crockpot - outside - and shred it and invite the neighbors over for supper and campfire. We're calling it our anniversary party. Not sure what else we're doing today. I hope relax! I might sew my Sunbonnet Sue's together for my baby quilt.

Report on our friends, Warren and Lois: Hospice has outlined for the family several "end of life" things that Lois is now exhibiting. Her increasing dementia for one. She putters around at night and gathers things up and piles them on top of Warren who is trying to sleep. She lives in a whole other world. But she's still able to be in their apartment. I hope she is still there when we get home.

We are leaving this beautiful campground on a lake on Tuesday for a crowded, though nice, RV park close to DD's house. Now it's a solid hour drive, longer if there's traffic. But we came to see her and it's so hard to do from here. Hate to leave but seeing more of her will make up for it. We signed a month's lease for that park.

Have a nice weekend! Don't forget the great men who made this holiday possible - and their mothers!

sorry for walking on a few of you.

BECCA - homemade bread sounds good to me!

SHERRY - your celebration of life ceremony sounds so perfect. What a beautiful way to honor your husband and gain closure for yourself and those close to him. Bless you!
