Thursday, February 13
Well, good morning everyone.
It is a huge mess out here. The Federal Government is closed, our public transportation system is closed. The governor of Virgnia is asking you to stay off the roads. But the CVS that my son works for is supposed to be open. They are to report in or be fired. I have told him that there is no way they can do that. I am glad I brought my baby quilt in and even went out and got a few more things so I can work. How is it out your way?
Suzette

I'm calling the dr back today...I believe the cure to this C-DIFF is killing me. I have never felt so sick in all my life. I will continue to take it only if they have nothing else.
No snow here yet, we are on the fringe of the storm I think (I hope) I am so very tired of cold and snow. We are suppose to get all the way up to 32 today.
I did make three Sylvia blocks yesterday then had to lay down for 1 1/2 hours. I hope to get the other three done today for this week. We will have to see how it goes.
I hope you all have a good day,
Vicky

Good Morning!
LEAH - that's a lot of snow!
SUZ - your storm is exactly why I don't think I'd like a sewing room separate from the house. Just how much snow do you have?
VICKY - some meds can really make you sick. And sometimes, it's just the dosage. Ask your doc if there is another one or if you can take more frequent, but smaller doses of whatever you are on. Are you taking it with food? Drinking a lot of water?
I typed a long post yesterday and as I tried to post it, QIAD bumped me off. I don't understand why sometimes I can go for months without having to log in and other times, I have to log in every day and several times a day.
I am making the Lovey Dovies Valentine tablerunner from the current issue of Quick Quilts. But the way their directions are printed, it can't be done. So I studied that for a night, slept on it, and had to unsew and devise my own way. I still have to finish quilting it and add the binding. I bet they get letters!
Tonite we are busting into our DD's house and DH is going to do a few handyman chores (my SIL isn't handy around the house at all.), I'll do laundry and make homemade pizzas for supper and have the ready when they get home from work. And I'll have her table decorated with the revised tablerunner.
As for weather, we were at a solid 32* for 2 whole days but warmed to upper 40's last night. and the sun came out! We even huddled around a campfire in late afternoon. Today should be over 60. I sure hope so because if it stays this cold, I'll need to go buy more woolies. I did't bring near enough cold weather stuff when we came south for the winter! The irony is that it's much warmer at home than it's been here!
Happy Valentine's Eve, y'all!

P.S. my SIL called and my DB saw the pulonologist and he doesn't think there is any lung cancer but that the lining around his lungs is thickened. They are scheduling a few more tests. I'm still thinking he might have fluid between the layers of the lining, i.e., pleural effusion, but we'll see who's right - the dcctor who has all the test results or the retired baby nurse little sister who thinks she knows it all.

Good Morning
Vicky I am so sorry you are so sick. I hope you feel better soon.
No sewing for me today. I must go to town and get groceries.
I will also get my pictures of my SBS blocks. Hope to post them this afternoon.
The picture of the lug reminds me of my back yard. Forties next week sounds good, but snow for the next three days. Yuck.
I hope you all have a wonderful day and keep on sewing.

Good snowy Morning....
Suzette....I thought CVS cared about it's people? After all they are going to stop selling cigarettes. Dis he go in? I'm glad you stocked up for the storm. Good golly now their saying an other storm for the weekend.
Lea.....that's a lot of snow! Are you getting any today or tomorrow?
Vicky....I'm so sorry you are not feeling better. I'm saying prayers for you. I'm not sure if I said this but my DD1 had this in ICU, it's the one thing she remembers.
MaryZ....I find that true about QIAD too. It took me forever to remember to check before I post. The only error I ever had in a magazine pattern was a piece miss sized.(is that A WORD?) How wonderful pizza & a tablerunner. I haer Alaska is to warm & people are having trouble traveling over ice & getting stuck in mud.
I might make bread...I'm worried about eating too much of it, so warm & good. Other than that I'll work on a an old BOM. The blocks are black/white with a solidish bright bright color in each block. I'll keep an eye on the driveway so I don't have to shovel deep snow.
Love & Prayers to all.......Kathy

Good morning.. I am so glad it's Thursday, it's my busiest day... I am being given even more new tasks at work.. so glad I didn't get that job or I wouldn't get to do what I am doing..
Karlene.. I thought squirrels hibernated too but I see one every so often... our squirrels are these scrawny brown things.. hope your Fred is at least cute.
Carole, I like your dream better... one can only hope..I know it's not nice but some people just need to go away...
Cindy.. your DH may just find that there is a quick little surgery to take care of his prostate. my grandfather had that surgery and lived many years afterward... and when it gets to your stomach all of your food touches...
Maryq.. sorry about the ceiling.. hope it's inexpensive to fix.
O'Dorothy, will it be snowing in the south when you go there? when do you leave? how is Jim...
Kathy, I think the Ohio woman who changed her name to Sexy should have stuck with Sheila.. her last name is still Crabtree..you can go shopping with us.. I leave here at about 7:15 am tomorrow.. hop on a plane...
Suzette, my goodness... can't say much else about your weather..
Scrap48... stay warm, happy ufo quilting.
Vicky, hope you feel better soon..
Maryz.. your daughter will love the table runner and the pizza...as for your brother, my money is on his little sister...
Kath2.. happy grocery shopping.. hope your heat got figured out.
Becca, such a delima.. sewing or uglies..
Dolores, sorry your story didn't post.. I will make up my own in it's place
Debi, you sound like you're smiling as you post.. makes me smile too.
and it's time to get my hiney in gear.. you all have a super day
Chriss
