Wednesday, February 12
Good morning everyone.
I hope everyone has finished their grocery runs and are ready to stay in out of the weather. Ours is supposed to start sometime this evening. I should be able to get to my radiation treatment today before it starts. I want to be home before because people around here go crazy when it starts snowing. Even tho my studio is heated I may bring Nina the Bernina in and the fabric for the baby quilt and work in here. The news is asking us to stay home tomorrow. Have a great day and stay warm.

Morning all, sorry I've not been around....it's been madness here, avoiding floods and running around trying to help out my family - we're all trying to help each other but then the same people we're trying to support become your support when you break down, its so bizarre
Luckily where i live, my immediate neighbourhood, hasn't been flooded, I think we sit slightly higher than the surrounding areas and they are all underwater, thousands of people have been evacuated and their homes completely engulfed by the River Thames, which has broken its banks and it still hasn't stopped raining.....we're meant to get hail and wintry showers today too......there are a few roads that are passable and then you just have to pray that the high winds haven't brought down any trees and blocked the way.....usually i'd sit out the bad weather at home but i need to help my sister so I've been out and about.......I'm picking Charley up from work this fternoon and we're going over to see Oliver, my nephew, because there was such a delay with the body releaased and getting to the funeral home, they are going to need to close the lid soon, so we are going over tonight so Charley can say her last goodbye.....today though I am trying to sew a collar, like a shirt collar, for Olivers dog, so we can put it round his neck with a red tie as he is leading the procession into the church, wish me luck
.....I will try to pop on as and when I can, I miss you all and send prayers for you all, especially those who have lost loved ones, facing illnesses, I'm so glad to know you're all here......love to you all xxxx

Good Morning Cotton Pals
well my husband and I were very pleased with
the doctor at Wills Eye hospital. He was examined
for about two hours with tests and more tests. The
doctor was so very thorough. His cataract is not as
bad as the doctor here in our area had said. He was
told by the doctor that he should be seen every six
months. not every one to two years. She did say that
he does take extremely good care of the eye that has
the prosthesis it is very clean and absolutely no problems
with it. She does want him to go to a retna specialist
that she has recommended so I did make that appointment.
His diabetes does play into a lot of this also but it was a
long day but very well worth it.
Philadelphia is very much like New York the streets
are all one way and very confusing.
I was so happy it all went extremely Well.
I did get a call from one of the ladies from a quilt guild
asking me if I would like to join them and of course I said yes.
I have to stop babbling on
Have a wonderful day everyone

Re: Wednesday, February 12
I think this storm is going to come short of hitting us this time. We need a break from all the cold though, running very short on coal.
I called Tia yesterday and told her not to come today. I will miss her but I don't want to chance her or the children getting sick.
I'm hoping I'm much better by the weekend. I started the antibiotic yesterday. For someone that doesn't take meds I sure have been taking a lot lately. Just wish I didn't have to take that clindamycin, that created the perfect breeding ground for the C-DIFF.
I don't know what today will bring yet. I do know I'll have to take a nap sometime. I may feel like sewing, we will see.
I hope you all have a good day, for those of you in the path of the storm, stay safe.
Keep looking up,
Vicky

Good morning all! Just a quick stop in today before I go to breakfast with my friend. She wanted to do something for me so I told her to just go out to breakfast with me and lets talk, laugh, and drink coffee. It is amazing how those little things can cheer you up.
Jules - Glad to hear from you I have been following the weather in your country. This has been a weird winter for everyone. Be careful going out. I love the red collar you are making for your nephew's dog. Our beagle can't figure out where Dad is and she is acting down. It is so hard for our pets to understand even more than people. I will keep your family in my prayers.
Those of you in the South and up the Atlantic coast will be in my prayers today. We have had a bad winter here in NW Ohio, but are kind of used to it, but what you are getting is unreal for you I know. Be sure to stay in until it gets better.
Well, better go get a few things done before I leave for breakfast. Will check back later. I have to watch the Mystery Quilt show today. I was watching the Westminster Dog Show last night and forgot about it. Good thing I can watch it anytime. Have a good day everyone and keep thinking Spring Is Coming Someday.

Good Morning, It is -9 here although we will miss the snow we are back in the polar vortex again, We will not be going to the gym today...it is too cold to get into the pool. Ken's hair freezes when he comes out...LOL He has a thick head of black hair and cannot get it dry in the showers. so it freezes...An interesting story at our gym there are coast guard, navy, and airforce, who do their recert of their water safety skills in the pool...they "fall" in the pool with all their gear on and have to get out....clothes and boots and all....Ken asked them if they ruin a lot of stuff that way and they laughed and said they use old junk to dothe drills///there were maybe 15 or 20 of them....walking around in their wet clothes....talk about a wet t shirt contest....I saw a couple of winners...(young enough to be my grandkids but cute cute cute) eye candy. after my work out I watch them. LOL
Well today I will bake bread and do a few chores. packing is sitting untill friday...then we will open the camper and turn on the heat, pack the whole thing at once, top to bottom. leaving about 830 Sat morning, if nothing else (weatherwise) comes up.
I am making HSts got 16 more done last night while I watched Eleanor's Webinar....she is such fun...I am in love with the sample quilts....and her having the mystery guests on each month....I didn't buy the pattern but I love watching,,,,might buy the book next year since the quilts are so cute...
Well I need to get dressed,,,,haven't sat in my jammies in a long time...Hope you are all feeling better,,,,staying warm and dry.
Love and hugs to all XXXOOO

Wait till I send pictures of my area, in winter... Plenty of huge snow hills, for ski board, lug right on sidewalks, figure skating to work via Red River, or Assiniboine River. Oh then curling or hockey well, on street, like skating ring with the fresh 1 inch of snow overgnight.. USA other than neighboring states have no idea, as I for you, a world away.. Nice to watch Olympics on TV, while sewing and good pot of coffee..
A spit warmer, very little wind, which means I can walk to grocery easier to breathe..
Yester had a whole top made (rail fence), and watched a Flynn quilt frame tutorial on how to work the frame.. I'm so happy for the tutorials, instructions make more sense..
Enjoy your day, wkend soon be here and sweethearts celebrate Valentine on Friday...
