Monday, February 3rd

Post by suzette58 » Sun Feb 02, 2014 9:00 pm

Good morning.
Woke up to rain this morning. We are supposed to get some wet snow as well. I am so tired of winter. Wah, wah. I feel so much better getting Lydia's quilt done. Yesterday I was in my studio quilting it and my younger brother called. His girlfriend's mom had passed away Saturday night. His girlfriend was expecting it to be soon. But, no matter how prepared you think you are, you aren't. Today, I have to work and get back to treatment. Friday was cancelled because the machine was down. The rate I am going it will be Spring before I finish. So far, no side effects except being a little more tired. Have a wonderful day.

Good Morning Suzette and all who follow,

Today I also woke up to rain and have to work oh well what are we going to do more bad weather on the way.

Yesterday I had a nice time went to a super bowl party and had fun
also got my birdhouse blocks finished for the swap but it might be another week before I get a chance to mail them out but not to worry im early getting them done.

When I get home I might go into my sewing room.

I Hope Everyone Has A Great Day.

Good morning pals
It definitely would have been sweet to wake up to rain but alas it passed over us again. Life will go on and I will endevour to learn more rain dances :) :) :)
Congrat's to all the Super Bowl Winners. Rob is not a football fan but I would have loved to watch. I can't complain. He helped me clean the fridge and freezer for which I am very grateful.
Today is the Dr.s appt so we will see what he says about the beginning of the Fatty Liver Disease. Courtney is already working up a food program. Still trying to figure out the nauseua but it is way better than what it was so all is looking up.
Played with learning how to download the panto's from the computer to the LA computer. A but tricky but the more you do it the better it is. There is just one problem... I am not rich so I have to give myself good notes to follow when I do.

Suzette treatment and work, how you do it beyond my imagination, you are very strong, hope everything works out in the long run..

Rain haven't seen that in near 6 months, waiting for the melt here, if only we could send snow where moisture is badly needed. Saw a job posted "Mystery Shopper" Wouldn't that be ideal.. Shovel a few minutes, then get some quilting done, to finish quilt for show..

Waited for news last night, due to football delayed, fell asleep, I feel like bear in hibernation.. Ground hog in MB 4 weeks only... Fort Whyte a park like atmosphere maintains wild animals in their natural habitat. Saw earlier news staff holding ground hog in his arms cuddling and petting like a cat.. With such treatment if I were ground hog, I'd stay out of my hole, to human treatment. Ground hog looked very happy in a warm building being petted by human. But little world now the massive holes they dig with their claws. I'd be fearful of their teeth and claws, holding them in this manner.

Suzette- I too am tired of winter.

We traveled yesterday up to Tully to see Darryl's brother and his family. The loss is still very near to them. It was good that we went. I took a meal and we just visited. They are big football people so we left so they could get on with their pregame stuff.

Seeing Scott reminded me of a certain Harley quilt that I'm supposed to be working on. I really need to get that done and out of my hair.

It's funny I actually dreamed "quilts" last night. It was about Bonnie Hunter's leaders and enders. I cut up my scraps and started making postage stamp quilts using leaders and enders...well now there's an idea. Making two quilts at one time. The trouble with that right now it I have black thread in my machine because of my Sylvia blocks and I would want colors and white for a postage stamp quilt.

I have to "work" today at my MIL's. Then I'm coming home and do some "work" in my sewing room. I have those beautiful cabinets up over my big board to fill! Fun.

Have a great day,
Vicky

Hello all and Happy Monday! The weekends sure go fast... ugh. I just fired up the sewing machine I bought this weekend and it sews like a dream. Just for the record... it's a used machine, not new...that's why it didn't come with bobbins. I found some at the sewing center at Joanns, along with a cute little bundle of fat quarters to make a mug rug for a friend.

Well, I am hoping to finish up my Mystery blocks now that the machine is running and start stripping my LOTTO blocks... am doing laundry in between and the dishwasher needs to be emptied. Hope to get it all done before it's time to go to bed.

Hope everyone has a lovely day!

Good morning 12 and frosty here, we are headed to the gym this morning,,then some errands,,,I need to get valentine cards for my kiddies and send them...usually get a few goodies...then need some new undies for the trip....I am due anyways.. i will wait untill they start falling apart.then rush to shop. I need socks too.. Ken says he has enough. Wish it would warm up a bit so I could get out to the camper;;;It is still frozen in the back yard. I am really tired of the cold and yearning for Florida even thoough it is not really hot there the 60s and 70s sound really good right now.

I started block 3 of the Christmas quilts, this will probably be my florida project, making all the appliques and cutting them out.

Well off the the gym today meeting sis and dbil there dbil wants to get into the pool with Ken there,,,after his stroke he has forgotten how to swim. and has asked for ken to help him. He does ok but so very forgetful.

coffee and feed the kitty first. Hope you all have a great day,,,,prayers for all of you who need God's assistance today xxxooo

Good morning... I had a lazy day yesterday, got very little done... I was such a slug.

Judi, isn't it something how pizza can fix the blues...when I was little I remember my grandma ironing transfers onto an apron for me... I couldn't see over the ironing board so I thought it was magic... I think that's what your little one sees when the sewing machine makes his name... magic..

Lucie, I have been wanting macaroni salad for a wile.. I am the only one who eats it so I don't make it.. I should have headed south so I could have some.

Kathy, I can't believe she's 8 years old.. hope she had a great birthday. Godzilla was way more exciting than the superbowl.

Sherry, the Budweiser commercial was cute.. so was the Doritos commercial.. there really aren't as many cute ones as their used to be. looking forward to your hexi quilt.

Sharona, I think that before you go to bed each night you should put his shaving cream on the counter.. or buy him an electric razor.

Cindy, we wouldn't be able to use the pecan tree method of announcing spring here.. all our trees are budding and now it's cold again...

Mel.. new shoes and a beanie baby..your grandson is one lucky duck...

Scrappy Pat.. I am so glad you posted.. it was good to see you.. I hope you'll be feeling better soon.. glad DH is on the mend...hugs

Suzette, glad it was rain and not another water pipe.. I am glad your treatments aren't getting you down.

Lois.. woo hoo the birds are ready to fly... what a fun thing to have them done...

Teresa, what fun playing with your LA... sorry about the rain but the little we got wasn't enough to fill a teaspoon.. gosh we sure could use it.

Scrap48... I wouldn't hold the ground hog either...

Vicky, the solution to your thread problem is simple.. buy another machine.. one for each project...happy cabinet filling.. what fun..

Izzy, wow, another snow day.. do they build them into the school calendar? do you have to have so many instructional hours each year ?

Sooz.. I am glad you found bobbins.. now there is no stopping you...lol

Judi, I bought socks.. they were on clearance at Target... and they are a wool blend..I will be so glad to have my toes not frozen.

I have to figure out what to take for lunch.. so I need to get moving.. you all have a great day.
