Good morning Lois and those that follow.
Yesterday the breakfast at work was a lot of fun. I won 2nd place for my sweater. I am going to try and get a picture with me in it. But, I have been having trouble with Photobucket. Today I have to go get another mammogram. The radiation oncologist wants to make sure that all the cancer cells are gone before I start radiation. Hopefully I will get into my studio today. Have a great day.

Good Morning Cotton Pals
Well I have had my shower and I am dressed already.
I have to go for my infusion this morning.
I really feel like I need it I am in so much pain
with the arthritis.
No sense in complaining because no one wants to hear it.
Even my husband has noticed me wincing when I move but
I hate to complain.
We did go out to dinner last night. I had gotten some
certificates from restaurant.com and they are just pennies on the dollar and it was for $25What a great deal you just have to go on the website and put your zip code in the find the participating restaurants. It is definitely a good deal.
I am looking forward to doing some wrapping tomorrow and
make up the gotchie boxes for the grand kids.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day

Good Morning!
I have been reading lots of posts today. Looking at beautiful photos of quilts and projects. Lots of good advice being shared, too.
Go and visit the discussion under "Chit Chat" - (Time for self- New Years Resolutions). There are some wonderful ideas here to help all of us to make our 2014 better. Great ideas to make time for ourselves to "refill our cups". You'll enjoy reading and sharing your ideas too.
Hard to believe that we are so close now to closing our this 2013 year. Time goes way too fast for me. I like some of the ideas shared by many under that discussion that can help me to enjoy each day to the fullest going into the New Year.
One thing I am so thankful for is my friends and family. The forum is just like family. Lots of love and care and prayers for each other.
I thank God that I found this place.
God Bless You All. Merry Christmas. enjoy your day.

Good Morning,
It's snowing! Not a big deal to so many of you, but here - it's a big deal! We'll only get an inch or so at most and then it will turn to rain this afternoon, but Scottie is loving it. His first snow. He's licking it and trying to catch snowflakes in his mouth.
LOIS - Did you get all your presents wrapped? I don't go to Target very often, but I just happened to last week. Rats! So we're checking all the credit cards. Our CC info was stolen once before and while though not at Target, they used it at Targets, across the country all in one day - to buy big Lego sets. The card company alerted us immediately.
SUZETTE - congratulations on the prize for your sweater! We knew you could do it! lol! Good luck with the mammo.
DELORES - My mom had very bad arthritis. She ended up with two hip replacements but still just hurt all over. Turns out that everyone was focussed on the arthritis and never thought she could have a second ailment going on. She was finally dx'd with fibromyalgia, which was just being recognised then - 1987.
VELDA - it is hard to think we're going into 2014 so soon. Seems we were all just fretting Y2K!
CINDY - how is Scooter?
BECCA - enjoy your visit with little Sawyer!
I was with my sister all day shopping and just goofing around. We hit Joann's and the Sew & Vac place to drop "Stitch" off for a well earned spa treatment. We made the rounds of thrift shops and I found 9 pieces to my set of Christmas dishes! We also picked up some great white elephant gifts.
Today we'll all have lunch with my brother and SIL and then make the rounds of 15 family graves in two cemeteries, decorating them with silk poinsettias. I usually do this alone, but Tina & Al want to go along, so that means my DH will, too. And the shelties will get to go, too.
We've been so busy with family that I haven't even read yesterday's posts. And everyone is getting up now and dogs are barking. Guess that's all the time I have for now.
miss you all! And it's only been one day!

Re: Friday December 20,2013
Good morning.. Christmas is almost here, are you ready? I still have two things coming in the mail, they will be here today or tomorrow...
I need to do some serious dusting in my sewing room so tomorrow morning I will get started, then the plan is to vacuume and maybe even clean my machine... yep, I'm livin large.
Judi, I have kits too that I mostly bought for the fabric.. so they aren't UFO's either. they are fabric with a bonus pattern... Sophia will love showing off her grammie.
Cindyg.. the chicken recipe looks good... I make one with salsa in addition to the soup... it's really good too..I love chicken.... we too are in a rut with cooking, I look at recipes or watch cooking shows and never make the recipes..
Izzy, the little man belongs to Chrissy, I am Chriss-no Y. my man is 25 and over 6 foot tall... each are precious but I bet her's is cuter where mine is handsomer...lol. I'm with your daughter, I love Scooby Doo too... and sometimes at work I get the chance to say.... it would have worked had it not been for those meddling kids and their dog....try to work that saying into your day..lol
Sherry, last night I got a reminder of how busy a working mom can be.. I got home a little late and actually made dinner.. yes I cooked while Jerry had something to do...it is a lot of work being the wife, glad he usually does it...
MaryRose, I am not sure if I can make it Sunday, but I did pm you my phone number too, I wish you were staying longer and that Christmas wasn't right in the middle of your visit...
Karlene.. it really is a tough decision deciding to move or not..I know with my grandmother she has such a routine that she'd rather only have me at her house when she needs something..and so far she can take care of herself. and I would only be able to provide care to a certain level before a professional would have to take over...I will say a prayer for you...smooch Miss Harley for me when she gets there...
Jules, the puppet show is great.. what a fun thing for those girls... and you will love giving the bear to the little boy, he will be thrilled...
Sharona, hope lunch was wonderful... is it a womens club? how come you get to go to lunch?
Suzette, wow, second place...I would love to see what first place looked like.. hope your mamo goes well...
Maryz.. how is your DGS? enjoy your sis time.
Jana, did the divinity get made? I haven't had that in a long time.. Jerry had two fudge recipe's.. one off the jar of marshmallow and one from his grandma.. I like the marshmallow better.
Lois....if you ever run out of uglies I have some here..
Dolores, prayers for a quick infusion hope it helps a great deal.
Velda... xoxo to you too...
Becca, happy cookie and grandkid day.
and it's time to go to work.. you all have a great day

Re: Friday December 20,2013
Lois - the Target thing is awful. I feel so bad for those thousands of people that have to deal with that now. I went to Target for a bridal shower gift but I paid cash - thank goodness.
Suzette - sorry you have to have another mammogram but better safe than sorry. My neck was sore for 3 days after my mammo a couple of weeks ago. Happens every time.
Dolores - thanks for the heads up about restaurant.com and the coupons. I'll go see what I can find there. I'm constantly moaning and groaning but I don't go to the doctor about it. But the dog, Scooter, has been limping and crying and I'm taking that poor baby to the vet tomorrow morning because I don't want him being in pain. Some people wouldn't understand that.
Velda - we are family here even tho we don't know what each other looks or sounds like. It's the caring and who doesn't like to feel cared about. Love it here.
Becca - enjoy your day with kids and cookies.
Maryz - have fun at lunch. I know you are having fun with your sister. You didn't leave any work for her to do, did you? My poor little Scooter - I got home from work yesterday and went to let them out and he fell onto his left leg (I think it just gave out on him) and he cried and cried. I was ready to take him to the doggie ER but he got up and limped to the back door. He didn't cry anymore last night. I'm taking them in the morning. It's suppose to be raining/stormy in the morning - goody.
Chriss - I do NOT watch cooking shows - LOL LOL. I might have to stop at the store for the ingredients for King Ranch Chicken and make it on Monday while I'm at work. It's so good and so little work. I bought a box of chicken titties at the store and this weekend I'm going to cook them and shred them for future recipes. I'll bag them up 2 titties to a bag and freeze them. I figure I can go that while I'm wrapping and wrapping and wrapping.
I hope we can all fondle fabric today.

Good morning, good morning,
We are melting here today which is good since another snow storm is supposed to roll in this weekend. After a mild November, we are making up for it in December - it does help make for good fruit on the trees next season!
I got to bring both Victoria and Harley home with me yesterday so Rich could rest up at their apartment after finishing his last final, and Victoria got to rest in our room while we played with Harley! She was much more awake than the last time we had her at the house. Then Elizabeth and Victoria went to see the Hobbit movie and we took Harley to our small group. I have now officially become that grandma that runs down mere acquaintances to show off the baby! I'm trying to behave myself.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone. Is everyone done with their Christmas sewing?
Karlene

Hello Everyone,
Today is my
day for another Biopsy this afternoon seems as though the results from PET scan showed more cancer so need to biopsy the biggest one which is close to my liver to know what kind of cancer it is so Dr. knows bow to treat it. Prayers appreciated. Probably before we go there we will run to the store as we have been warned we are to have a big winter storm moving in today temps are to be in low 30's for the highs.....rain mix with sleet then 3-5 in of snow so may not be able to get to Wichita for our annual family Christmas party. I just hope we don't lose our power.
Lois ....I am still working on getting photos on the site here DH bought me a new smart phone which I don't think I am smart enough to work I figured out how to take picture....now to have er show me how to send to my PC. I am so sorry it is taking so long part of it was this modern high tech stuff an part has been lots of days when I just didn't feel up to trying to do it.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.
