Thursday, December 19

Post by suzette58 » Wed Dec 18, 2013 9:33 pm

Good morning everyone.
Yesterday I finished my Ugly Christmas Sweater for work. I can't imagine that the guys that are installers and repair guys will participate. But, this is all in fun. I thought I was going to have to go to the craft store but got everything at a party store. I couldn't believe it but it took 18 feet of garland and I still didn't have enough but was able to make do. Today after work I am hoping to go out to my studio and work on Lydia's quilt. Like I have said before I am hoping to get it done before she graduates from high school. I finally got some news on my nephew Wyatt. He is the one that has brain cancer. He is back in school and on the honor roll. The tumor has stopped growing for now. Now his mother is a whole different story. She is upset with me for giving her my opinion. Oh well. Have a great day.

Good Morning and Happy Thursday. Christmas is coming fast. Today, we take Willy back to the Vet for his follow up. Did I even mention it here??? Willy had an infected paw. Nasty! Put him on antibiotic for two weeks. What a pain trying to get a huge capsule down his throat. But we finally settled into a system that worked.

Paw is looking much better now. The vet will be pleased. Even the fur is starting to return.

Cindy, what happened to Scottie's hip??? Did I miss something??

Suzette: Your sweater is really flashy. I just know everyone will smile when they see you coming.

Lois: Hope your PT goes well. You sure have had quite an ordeal with it all. You will soon be back to driving, that is a huge step forward.

Prayers for Wyatt, and his Mom to understand and know she is loved. Also prayers for Becca and her DH. I bet you hate the allergy shots, but hopefully they do what they need to do to keep you healthy and functioning.

Prayers for our whole forum that this Christmas will be filled with lots of love and good health.

Have a HAPPY DAY!!!

Velda

We do this every year, what fun.

Good morning all.. I don't think Mother nature has quite made her mind up yet..we are warm and cool and just all mixed up...

Last night was Marilyn's school Christmas program.. they call it a holiday program but I am sticking with Christmas... it was only an hour long and included 5 classrooms (k-8) and the advanced band (three kids with horns and one with drums) we only have 125 kids at our school so it's small and quick.

Maryz.. guess with your dog going to the cousins place it gives new meaning to the saying... he bought the farm....

Cindyg.. what's king ranch chicken..do you have time off during Christmas? bet it's crunch time with it being the end of the quarter and end of the year...

Izzy, all these crazy days the schools have... we never had crazy days..glad you got the socks and sweater stuff all figured out.. and jsut so you'll know.. today is dress like you are from the past day..Mar will go as someone from the '80's.

Tina, those kids might just decide to stay forever?? also glad you're improving.

Chicky... I bet your kids love cookie day...

Maryq.. prayers for your aunt and hope you enjoy yoru heat wave..

Karlene, hope you stole Harley yesterday.. if you hide him real well you can keep him. are you still planning to move to Colo?

Mel, glad you had to pee... and that you made it home safe...

O'Dorothy, Jerry and I try (and fail) to make a menu each week... we eat the same things over and over.. rarely do we try something new...hope you get your son to yourself while he's there.....

hope you all have fun baking and wrapping....and that you have a marvelous day

Good Morning Girls

Just a quick hello this morning. Need to shower up soon and get ready for work, but first it's a stop at Joann for more Minkey for more scarves. A couple gals in our corporate office (across the hall from the pharmacy) saw my scarves and want some too! So guess what I will be doing this weekend, along with cleaning, and baking some cookies and laundry and grocery shopping!

Hope you all have a most wonderful day--baking and wrapping and what not.. Sneak in some sewing time if you can!

See you tomorrow!

Suz - glad you got your ugly sweater finished. Is that today? Great news about Wyatt. And his mother - well, mom's are touchy when it comes to their seriously ill children.

Lois - hooray for you getting around to wrapping. UGH I don't know if I'll be ready for Christmas or not.

Becca - how old was your black Lab when the hip problem started? I'm just assuming it's Scooter's hip. He won't put any weight on his leg but we fiddle with his foot and leg and he doesn't yelp so I think it's his hip. I'm trying to get my DH to go to the ENT - he needs allergy shots but he's stubborn and won't go.

Vel - Scotty is Maryz's dog. Scooter is ours - you girls are getting our dogs mixed up - LOL. I think (hope) it's just arthritis - we'll find out soon enough. What happened to Willy's foot? Christmas is coming fast - this time next week it will be all over.

Vicky - have a fun day. Sometimes I wish I liked to cook.

Chriss - yes, it is the payroll year-end crunch time almost. Don and I eat the same things over and over, too. Any meal that takes over 30 minutes I don't want to do. Cooking is SUCH a waste of time. Lately, however, I've made a few new things: chicken spaghetti and chicken & dumpling casserole and boxed Velveeta meals where you just add hamburger. I don't mind taking a longer time to fix something if we can eat on it for a few days like the chicken & dumpling casserole. I went to the grocery store last night then went home and fixed homemade veggie soup - that'll be good for 3 meals - YEA!

I'm at work with plenty to do. This evening I have to pick up the house because the cleaning lady comes tomorrow. I need to check my Christmas list and make sure everybody's gifts are bought.

I hope you can all fondle fabric today.

Ok today was Santa hat day: I tried to but man it made my head itch LOL so no hat for me:) I could have fixed Mar up on that 80's theme man loved those years. I was in High school and the crazy wardrobe I had shew thats something Lots of beads and bangle bracelets. I did a Cyndi Lauper imitation at our faculty talent show one year and drug out all my bangles and beads and lace Had a blast. My hair was died red that year so I fit the part well and knew the song by heart "girls just wanna have fun":)) Ok enough of 80s lol

Vicky have fun with the girls. I would love it if my DD could help out in the kitchen you are so blessed:)

we had caroling at our church last night then they all came back for coco and cookies so much fun. I stayed behind with DD to set up tables and fix hot coco:) DD doesnt care for all that stuff:) she watched scoobie do in the office:)She loves scoobie

Decorating tree tonight it has sat naked for 4 days in basement due to our schedule we just havent had time. I overslept this morning 30 min AHHHH but was so tired.

I just cant get in spirit of christmas was telling DH about all your pretty pic of decorations; he laughed and said " you tell them youve decorated" " got grinch on couch" LOL I told him dont forget my 3 elves on the other couch LOL

Chriss how is our lil man doing? Have I missed recent post on him. I hope all is well with him I think of him often:) He is in my prayers. Has he had the last procedure or is it coming up. Just checking.

Well better get back to work. My K kids on field trip so had some down time:)
