Good morning Teresa and those that follow.
Yesterday was a long day at work and not much else happened here. I am hoping to get out to my studio today after work. If I don't get out there soon Lydia won't get her quilt till she graduates from high school

. I hope everyone has a great day and I will check in later.
Teresa - I hope you have a wonderful time with your family.

Good morning all Hope you have great day of sewing and think of me while battling the crazies at school last week before CHRISTmas break
AHHHH LOL
Ok I just wanted to stop the lies LOL There is no such thing as the Tradition of the Christmas Pickle in the tree from Germany. My brother and I have just ROFLOL over this American money maker. Dont fall for it:) Its a fun American tradition but I promise you its not a German tradition:) Dont go on my word research it:)
http://german.about.com/library/blgermy ... myth11.htm
Coming from Germany and knowing this when my SIL gave me a pickle One year at our ornament exchange she argued with me that it was a German Tradition LOL. I was nice but told her born there and lived there and celebrated Christmas and we never had a pickle in the tree:)
Ok I will get off that but think its a hoot how comercialism makes people believe just about anything:))
God Bless and Happy thoughts
Izzy
Teresa have a good visit with kids:)
Vicky hope you get all your sewing done:)
Suzzette I hear that I too need to hit the sewing room just havent had time:)

Good Morning!
TERESA - Have a wonderful time with your kids!
VICKY - Sounds like you will be having a nice, quiet day with Emily. Does she like quilting? Enjoy!
SUZETTE - Did you tell us about the baby quilt - pattern, colors, fabrics - and I missed it or forgot it? I love baby quilts! I'm going to get to make one soon. Warren and Lois are expecting their first great-grandchild in late May. the due date is actually on their 60th wedding anniversary!
our wood is all stacked and we have enough now for 2 more winters! I finished my, koi wallhanging, and I even got a run at my uglies yesterday. Today - more uglies and some feet-up time. My sister comes tomorrow and I'm almost ready.
Have a super day!

MaryZ - for the baby quilt I am making a simple 4 patch with sashing and cornerstones. The patches are a pink and brown daisy print and light pink solid. the sashing and borders are part of the collection the flower print came from. if Photobucket would ever work for me again I plan on posting pictures. It wont download the pictures from my computer. I swear we depend on computers too much sometimes

Good Cloudy Morning.....
More snow on the way! Yesterday I backed out of the driveway & couldn't get up the side street...a small steep hill. I ended sliding down. I think I need to practice backing into the garage to get out in the snowy weather. And I'm so bad at it.
Had a fun day babysitting & shopping yesterday. The fell asleep on me & I held her for an hour while she slept. Sweet face!
Today it's cookies & sewing. And making an appointment for the car inspection....almost forgot.
Teresa.....so happy you are having fun times. I'm still eating tyrkey & I gave half to me sister.
Suzette....sorry about a long work. But I just can't believe little Lydia would have to wait until graduation....lol
Vicky....have a wonderful stay at home day!
Izzy....LOL....I've seen the pickle! I gave the pickle to a friend once because she ate pickles all the time. I was thinking of you the other night as I watched a show on living in Alaska. A young couple helped their goat have tiny twins. The camera was right in there.
Maryz.....That was a lot of wood....2 years! Here many people burn wood in the form of pellets. There's never a day I go out and I don't smell wood. I just know you'll have a wonderful time with you sister.
Becca....I'll send you some cookie power while I make mine. Good luck.
Chriss....stinky Pete....love that name. Oh Fussy Pants fussed a lot.
Love & Prayers to all in need......Kathy
Did any of you get coal from "Santa" in your stocking??? I did & it still bothers me to this day.

Good morning, good morning,
David measured our snow from over the weekend and we had a good 16". It is very white outside. In one of our piles, there is a little tunnel neatly burrowed through the snow - I think that must be Fred but I'm not sure why he isn't hibernating?
I made some cookies yesterday and got those sent off to my dad. I think that is the last of the things to be mailed. I still have some shopping left to do.
Have a wonderful day everyone,
Karlene
