Post by suzette58 » Thu Dec 12, 2013 9:26 pm

Good morning everyone!
We have a new grand daughter. She was born at about 3 pm yesterday. Her name is Lydia Peyton, she weighs 9lbs 1 oz and is 21- 1/2" long. She is beautiful. We have only seen one picture but she is beautiful. I have got to get it together and get her quilt done. Work is really getting in the way!! I am working today because I was off this past Monday. Well, I better go drink my coffee and get ready. Have a wonderful day.

Good Morning Suzette and Jules,

Congrats Suzette what a nice gift she was born right on my DD birthday she turned 37 yesterday.

Yesterday I baked 2 different batches of cookies and then I went into my sewing room no sewing just pinning blocks together and watching tv.

Today I have PT and then the DRs and after that I will sew a bit.

I hope everyone has a great day.
Prayers go out to all in need.

Morning everyone. Today I will only be working for 4 hours, then to start my vacation. When I get home my plan is to work on hand sewing the binding on the quilt. It will be nice to sit under the quilt while working on it (and stay warm).

Suz, congratulations on the new little one in your life. Sending my hugs.

Jules and Lois have a great day.

I need to finish getting ready for work now, but will check back when I get home. Blessings to all.

Good Morning everyone
Couldn't sleep again, so much to do today. We'll be making sausage most of the day. I plan to wrap Christmas gifts later. See what I have and if I need to go shopping once more.
My Bonnie Hunter mystery quilt is going slow. Clue#3 comes out today and I'm still working on clue #2. It's looking good and I enjoying working on it. This is the first mystery I have done, so yes I'm anxious to see how it turns out. Wish me luck

Suzette, congrats on the new grandchild. A Christmas baby

Good Morning Cotton Pals

I have a bitter dislike for the cold weather
I never seem to be able to get warm and stay warm.
I have tried wearing layers of clothes and its a no.

I think in my next like I will be in Hawaii.
Not only is it warm I honestly feel that the people
are always so very kind and warm hearted.

They also have nice fabric stores there. One time I
found a fabric warehouse in HILO.

Any way I have to get moving I still have to finish my
shopping. I cant believe that I am not done shopping.
I think this year with the money quite a bit tighter it
has slowed my shopping down.

I still have the bag to finish and then clean the sewing room.

I don't really do that much baking because my daughter and
daughter in law do it all. On Christmas eve they will bring
their goodies.
Happy Birthday Sandy
Have a wonderful day all..

Good Morning Everyone.

It is good to read that most of the SS packages are finally getting received or on their way to their elf.

We need to remember that family emergencies come up and mess up the best of plans. And the post office this time of year can get things delivered late or sometimes lost.

That was why I pushed myself to get my Christmas sewing done and package up and mailed way, way early.

Hope you all get your projects done on time and then can relax and enjoy the season.

Have a fun day. Here we are at the end of another week. The time goes so fast.

Hugs to you and remember to hug your family today.

How exciting another new baby!!!!
I'm sitting here enjoying my breakfast shake, this morning Caleb and I switched it up some and it is delicious! Here's our recipe if anyone would like to try it. I do make my own kefir and yogurt but you can used store bought.

I T flaxseed
1 T chai seed
1 T coconut oil
4 T kefir
1/2 to 3/4 cup yogurt
2 bananas
3/4 cup pineapple (with juice)
1/4 cup fresh coconut meat
frozen strawberries
Blend in Vitamix or powerful blender.

It was SOOOOOOOOO YUMMY!!!!!

Yesterday was a crazy busy day again for me, I don't want to wear you all out with the details. I did get two of my Sylvia blocks done and I'm hand appliquéing the third one. I may get it done before next weeks are posted.... maybe not. I looked at them all on my design board yesterday and decided I need more yellows and oranges. I seem to gravitate toward the pinks, blues and greens and throw in a purple or two here and there.

Well, I'm off to start another busy day.
Have a great weekend,
Vicky

Good morning.....It is frosty herer 19 we are expecting snow....30% chance...it has been really cold here, I have to tell you the guild party was at best only ok. 62 women showed I sat next to a professional quilter who has 2 Gammil machines set up at her house...quilts 60 to 80 hours a week.. Her turn around time is 5 to 6 days....that is amazing I think. anyway she is thinking of doing 108 inch fabric and batting from her house too...Amazing what some do. the food was not that good...and other than coffee you had to buy your own drinks.....lotsa grumbles but no business meeting so that was good.

I think I am still leaving the group. Just looked at the next years schedule and no interesting programs.

Today I will bake some cookies and wrap a few more gifts....slow and easy ....Sunday all the kids are coming over for Ken's birthday so I need to make sure all the party supplies are in the house. even a few candles. You know he still complains about getting cheated at birthday and Christmas....got giftd which said THIS IS FOR BOTH He doesn't like that so we try to get a little birthday bash for him with the kids and grands. I get him a card and some lottery tickets cause he has all that he needs....and wants....

Well I need to get moving going out to the gun club it is wing night and I hate wings so I will have to grab a sandwich before I go.

Have a great day Congrats on the baby....XXXOOO
