Goodmorning Izzy, Lois and everyone to follow. We had icy rain pellets in the night but things are quiet this morning, just a tad icy.
Update on Myles. Sfter waiting for the surgeo for several hours, they were sent home. she'll got a call around 7 last evening. Surgery will be the second week of January. Myles is up to 71 pounds which is just awesome. They can't do the surgery until he has two more iron infusions and another remicaide treatment. Plus it gives him time to get stronger. They were a little sad last night because he was hoping to be able to go back to school and play basketball with his team. I told them to look on the bright side, while Mo is home on leave before heading far away, they won't be spending that time in the hospital. He really was hoping he would be able to eat at Christmas, the doctor said MAybe a little something blan, Good thing he has those dum dum lollipops.
So how is everyone doing.
Got your shopping done
Tree decorated
Baking done.
Baking anything special this year, family treat, etc.ishing everyone safe travels sheer ever you may be.
Prayers and positive thoughts going out to all I need.
Oh and You pink warriors. Bless you one and all

good morning.. we are supposed to get some snow today... we rarely get snow...and it won't stick but because of it Mar isn't getting to go to her sleepover and I am not getting to go on a date with Jerry...

Maryz.. I am so glad your sis will be there..what fun... gald you reminded me of stocking stuffers...I still need to shop for my son.. he's pretty picky...and Mar needs a few things.. she and I will shop for Jerry on Saturday and I will be done.

Cindy.. sorry you are so far behind...hope you catch up...here are my curtains.. the top is flowers and not dots.. I really thought they looked like dots in the picture... http://www.annaslinens.com/window-1/kit ... tains.html

Jana.. your Ethan is too adorable.. I can't believe how he's grown... there was a story about a new train museum somewhere in Cali.. it was in yesterdays merced paper...Jerry wants a train for the tree... he is also such a kid.

Sharon... 30 is a lot of mug rugs... no fair checking Teresa's map... the best part of SS is seeing the anticipation and seeing what everyone gets... I love looking at all the little gadgets and fabric and home made things.. it's a lot of fun.

Lois..Kohls here has raised their prices some time ago.. I rarely shop there anymore... and now JC Penny has a return policy that you only get back part of what you pay.. guess they need a restocking fee. I may just turn into an online shopper....

Izzy.... we have early release today because of the snow.. we are only at 1300 feet but some live at higher elevations and will really get hit...snow is pretty but I love that it doesn't last long here...

Chrissy, icy rain pellets must come from a snow bunny...lol... glad things are looking up for the kids.. isn't there a super hero named Iron Man? wonder if it's really Myles?

time for me to fly, you all have a superb day,
Chriss

Good morning everyone.
I am getting a late start. I have an oncologist appointment in a little while. This is the dr that will be giving me the Tomoxifan. I guess now it is real that I have cancer. I guess I am feeling sorry for myself. I am not sure what I will get into today. I need to do some uglies cause my nephew's wedding is tomorrow. I lose a day to have in my studio. Oh well. Gotta go.

Good Icy Morning!

Baby, it's cold outside! And we're not even at the extremes that many of you are. Mid-20s here.

LOIS - We have had a Kohl's in Gig Harbor for about 15 months now. I've only been in there a couple of times, but everything I've purchased has been on sale or clearance.

IZZY - hope everyone on the farm is doing OK and you get to sew your day away!

CHRISSY - just how extensive will Myles surgery be? Poor little guy! He just keeps going and going. Chriss is right - first we have Bat Kid and now we have Iron Kid!

JANA - love the photos of little Ethan. He's grown so much! Can't believe he's almost 2!

CHRISS - I hope you all get to still go on your play dates even if it snows! Love your curtains.

SUZ - I know a few women who are taking that same drug. They have few side effects and life goes on as usual for them. Enjoy the wedding.

Today I have to pop out for a couple small things I forgot, but other than that, my shopping is done and almost all my wrapping. I'm dispensing with baking this year. It's SOOO expensive plus hours in the kitchen kill my back. And then I eat it all! I'm giving out my cappuccino mix instead. Then I can concentrate on cleaning and getting our trailer ready to be a guest cottage. I have a pattern coming in the mail to make one appliqued wall hanging for a gift for DD#1, but that's it! Yay!!

Is anyone finding time to sew these next few weeks?

Good Morning Girls

Just a brief hello this morning as I'm about to jump in the shower and get ready for work! YEAH IT's FRIDAY. Need to stop at Joann on the way home, one more time and pick up a little more minke for scarves--got a request for a few more. Have SO much to do this weekend it's not funny... cleaning and scrubbing and sewing and decorating.

Before I go I do have a couple small prayers requests that I know you can help me with
1. My 92 year old Auntie fell and broke her hip. She had surgery yesterday and having dementia she's not sure where she is or why she's there. She'll have to go to a nursing home for a while and I know she will not be happy about that.

2. DEX's wife Kori had some surgery the other day and while under her heart stopped. They did CPR and she's okay now, but it was pretty scary. Tho I am not fond of DEX, his wife is a sweetheart and I pray for a quick recovery for her.

I will keep all of you in prayers today as well.
For Myles, for Torrie, for Suzette, for Pat, for safe travels for every one, for baby goats, for families, for happy sewing days.

May you all have a most wonderful day!

ps. Maryz mid 20's would be a heat wave here.. it's below zero here this morning!!

Good Cloudy Rainy Morning,

The lake has melted & looks like a mirror. I love when that happens. I've a few uglies to do today & wrap presents so I can mail them off to TX. I'll make a quick run to the bank, PO for Christmas stamps & drop a few toys for needy children at my LQS. I still have planes to go shopping with my sister tonight. I wonder if there's sewing time today for me.

Lois.....nothing like a rainy day for sewing. Hope you get to do some.

Izzy.....happy "no school day"!! When I worked at the day care there was a song I would play called "I want a snow day". An ice day is good too. I hope all will drive carefully.

Chrissy.....loving the positive news about Mymy. The waiting is always so difficult it must be worse for a child. He's in my prayers all day.

Chriss....snow?! Sorry about your date/sleepover. How much snow?
I really like your curtains, I have a thing for dots.

Suzette....You are in our prayers every day. You can feel sorry for yourself every once & a while but only for a little bit. Try to find a little sewing time to bust your spirits.

Love & Prayers to all in need.......Kathy

Good morning! Brrrrr! Winter has arrived with a vengeance—dry, blowing snow, freezing temperatures and a miserable wind chill. The little birds are having a feeding frenzy, and I need to throw them some more sunflower seeds and fill the feeders again. I have to go help DH on a rental in town today although I’d much rather not have to go out at all. My flannel-lined jeans arrived in the post yesterday… just in time to keep me warm!

I’m still sewing for Christmas gifts. I have a wall hanging/table runner to sandwich and quilt, some minkey scarves to make, and some more table runners and pot holders.

Try to stay warm and safe! Let the thread times roll…

Good Morning,,,it is cloudy and dull here, 30s I got laundry started and dishwasher emrtied and realized I hadn't checked in here, ops my bad.. .I made 3 different batches of cookie dough last night, I will bake this afternoon....I wasn't going to but I need to send some to my son and DGD. They requested them and I need to ship their gifts too. Then it will be on to wrapping...and waiting for more to come in the mail. I need to pick up one last gift...for my DDIL. she is the hardest she asked for Bath and Body works,,,so I went there and was over whelmed by the assortment,,,too many things....candles and all sorts of fragrances,,I walked out with nothing, Might try Yankee candle store this week maybe find something there, I try not to buy Christmasy things so it may take some doing,

Ken is bugging me we need to run up to our local farm to get milk and butter,,,it is a totally natural farm cows raised without any drugs or suppliments,,,,,the milk is delicious and the butter WOW what a difference, so we need to do that before I start baking...

Hope you all have a great day,,,,Those who are feeling blue,,,please know you are in my thoughts and prayers,,,,suzette Hoping you here all good news today.
