Sunday November 17 ,2013
Good Morning Everyone,
Today I have to go and get a pair of sneakers I bought a pair of shoes yesterday just to get through the day my sneakers were so tight on me Friday that I was almost in tears and didn't realize that when I go to PT on Monday I do it without the cast and need to have support around the ankles so that's what I will be doing today amongst other things.
I Hope Everyone Has A Fun Day.

I am sorry the deer pictures bothered some. It was unthoughtful of me to post. I have removed the picture from yesterdays post. Hunting has always been part of our life here. It is not a sport for us it's something our men do to provide meat for the family. I will be more thoughtful in my future postings.

Good Morning Cotton Pals,
Well I did get to do some sewing yesterday.
Hopefully I can finish another block today.
My husband got a new truck and he has been in the
garage day and night with it. Nice right he has his
toy and he is occupied out there with it.
It rained most of the day yesterday so I just ram to the
store and came back in . I love the rain but it was a clod
day too.
I really want to turn the fireplace on but then it gets
too hot and the heat makes me sleepy. Usually at night
when we are watching TV we have it on.
I was so glad we had the fireplace last year when we
got hit with the hurricane. That was our source of heat
for two and a half weeks when we had no power,
There are still housed being demolished and rebuilt around
here.
Having my coffee and then we are going out to breakfast.
Have a wonderful Blessed day

Good morning everyone.
Today we are invited to my friend's son's Eagle Scout ceremony. This should be interesting. I have never been to one before. Before that I am going out to my studio and work on my Secret Santa gift. I also want to make sure that I have everything together. One year I forgot a couple of items and found them a few months later. Hope everyone has a good day.

Good Morning, Hope you all have a great day. it is rainy here but to go up to 60.
I got some sewing done yesterday and hope to do more today...but I need to get t he Christmas bins out and start that. It is warm enough to hang some lights if the weather clears. ...but i need to sit and see how many lights work. and what my game plan is.....then later might get some quilting done...
Had a nice visit from my youngest son and DGD,,,,They are my big hunters in this family....I was raised "Pure City" no one hunted in my family....Ken's family were avid hunters and my boys were taught to hunt at an early age....They had one rule....if you kill it you will eat it,,,,I once cooked a squirrel and made them eat it,,when it became the subject of a target shoot. They were much more careful after that and have taught their kids the same....(I am sure they fed most of the squirrel to the dog that day) And Vicky....I thought that was a great picture of your son...he is quite a handsome boy.
I am not even going discuss the Red Wings.......6 in a row.....sad...very sad.
My dear friend is going to the surgeon tomorrow...and will find out what they are going to do for her breast cancer,,Prayers are sure needed here,,,,,
Well coffee and kitty feeding needed Be Good XXXOOO

Good Morning,
KARLENE - loved the picture of little Harley and you!
LORI - I've missed you! Insurance! Now you've done it! You've got me started! Mine was cancelled. Now I have a plan that's half as good, but costs me twice as much. though I now have maternity coverage if I should somehow turn up pregnant!. Color me furious.
LOIS - good luck finding the right pair of shoes.
VICKY - I get hunting. I grew up with it and understand it. But it was thoughtful of you to remove the photo.
DELORES - always nice to hear from you! What kind of pick-up did your DH get? When mine got his new truck years ago, we finally had to buy the fifth-wheel and sell our motorhome because he couldn't bear to leave his truck at home!
SUZ - what an honor to be invited to the ceremony! You must be a very good friend! Enjoy your sewing time!
JUDI - I havea couple of small Christmas things up. I also have some Haloween still, and some TG decor. It's looking kind of eclectic around here! And I have my Christmas dishes out now. Counting dishes, we 'only' have about 12 totes of Christmas stuff. But since we are leaving so soon after Christmas for AZ/TX I won't put it all out this year. If the day is nice, we might look at our outdoor lights, too.
I think I'll get to sew most of the day. Plus, Scottie now has his rabies shot so he can go play with the puppies at Petco today. They have puppy playtime every other Sunday. He loves other dogs if they aren't too big. And - it's Santa picture day at Petco!! So yes, we've turned into those kinds of people who pay to take their pets to have photos taken with Santa. you may commence laughing at us now.
have fun today!

Good Cloudy Chilly Morning.....
Looks like rain is heading this way. Today is quilt guild day. Now I know where it is I can get there on time & meet some new friends. I'm really looking forward to it. The house is clean & I can sew until I have to leave.
Lois...My DD bought New Balance after she broke her ankle, me too after I broke my foot. Good luck.
Vicky.....have a good day.
Dolores.....the fire place sounds good for today, here it's feeling damp/chilly. That's funny I would never think to hang out with a new car but I would with a new sewing machine.
Suzette....I need to start wrapping up my SS goodies so I can mail it out this week before I leave. Enjoy the ceremony & happy sewing....
Love & prayers to all in need.......Kathy
Judi.....happy Christmas decorating....I'll put mine out when I'm home from TX. I'm a 'city' girl too. Hunting for food does not bother me. Praying for your friend.
Maryz.....have fun at Petco with Scottie. I'm sure the photo will be cute! Happy sewing.

Vicky looks like Caleb go himself a nice deer. I know that we also have to hunt to keep the population down or the animals will starve to death. And that is far worse to see.
Dolores a fire in the fireplace sounds nice. If we ever get some cold weather, we could have one. It was in the 80s and 90s last week.
Maryz thank goodness you're covered if you get pregnant. That's one less worry. lol Can't wait to the Scottie in his Christmas picture.
Well I made a few heart blocks yesterday. My guilds BOM for next year. I've only got one more to make and then I'll have them all ready until someone else takes over the job. It was good to sew.
Hope you all have a fabulous day.
Lori

Good morning!
Lois - I hope you find a good pair of supportive shoes today. I hate to hear you were in so much pain yesterday.
Vicky - I didn't see the picture, so no offence taken here. I personally don't hunt and can't even kill stupid millers, but I fully support those who hunt and eat what they bag. We have a 'hug a hunter' campaign going on out here, so here's an e-hug for your hunters. Congrats on their success.
Dolores - congrats to your DH on his new toy. I also usually only turn our fireplace on at night too. The dog and cat jockey for position around the hearth to get the best warm spot.
Suzette - I did the same thing with some of my SS gifts! Have fun at the ceremony and in the studio.
Judi - oh my goodness - what did that squirrel smell like? My maternal grandmother (the hillbilly) ate everything while they were growing up - possum, squirrel, gophers, etc. I love your rule and how you enforced it. Does your kitty cat meow and meow to hurry you up to the feeding bowl? Prayers for your friend tomorrow.
Maryz - I'm sorry to hear about your insurance - what a joke. Only the joke is on us. I'm also not going to do much of a Christmas here, as it is all in the garage underneath my sewing stuff and DH's shop stuff. Happy sewing today. I can't wait to see the Santa picture!
Kathy - have a great time at the guild meeting - I'm excited for you. I always wear NB shoes, because they have a lot of support and they're made here in the US. I didn't know about the higher number/higher quality thing until y'all mentioned it here.
Becca - computer problems can be SO aggravating! Have a lovely church service.
Lori - you are so funny with the pregnancy thing! Oh my... You're so right about thinning the herd. Glad you enjoyed sewing the hearts.
Karlene - I'm going to go check out the picture.
Yesterday the outlaws came over from Colorado Springs - we went to breakfast and then DH had to have his weekly NY hotdog fix for lunch. My DSIL and I went to a craft show - it's the first one I've been to in ten years. On the way there down the dirt road, I told her I always go slow because I'm so afraid a deer is going to jump out at me. I barely had the words out of my mouth when out from the trees came a six point buck! I stopped the car, he just looked at me, so I slowly moved forward. After I passed him, he just casually sauntered across the road.... Nothing much has changed craft-fair wise. Things were really pricey, so we bought consumable items from a high school girl who is in the rodeo and was making money for her entry fees. I got to sew Friday - YAY! Although it was like sewing in the dark ages. I didn't even have a seam ripper, so I was ripping stitches out with my small Swiss army knife. HA! I forgot how to top stitch and all kinds of things. It felt so good to be able to sew again, even in primitive conditions. Today is church and then more sewing. Have a great day! xoxo Sharona
