Good morning Cotton Pals.

Well its 29 degrees here ind I really
don't want to go out today.

My husband is talking about maybe going south
for a couple months.

That would be nice. either next week and come
back for Christmas or right after Christmas and
come back for Easter.
Sounds good to me.
We found a couple places in retirement communities
to rent by the month.

Its a thought and sounds good to me.

I am hoping to strip beds and wash linens today.
and then maybe sew a little.

Have a wonderful day

Good morning from very cold NW Ohio. It is 20 degrees here this morning with some of the snow still on the ground.

Lois - Hope your PT makes you feel better today. You are heading in the right direction.

Dolores - Sounds nice about getting away from the cold for a couple of months. Hope you find a place to rent.

Well, better get going. I have lots to do today. I am getting my car oil changed and the tires rotated so it will be all set for winter. Then grocery shopping and a quick trip to JoAnn for some floss for a project. Of course I will have to look through the quilting items too. I think may-be I will stop at Bob Evans for lunch for something different.

Prayers for all. Have a good day and hope it is warm where you are.

No knee replacement in his future according to the doc.

Good morning..today will be another wonderful day...and this weekend we have nothing to do so we are doing nothing.. fun fun.

Judi, I bought some fabric yesterday but you said you had lots of blocks.. would you rather I send this fabric for backing and binding or make blocks... my SS project will be finished this weekend then I am free to help you out....prayers for your friends.

Scrappy Pat.. you sound well, how is everything for you?

Maryq.. your scarfs sound so so soft.. they will love them...

Cindy, I agree, they shouldn't let the viewers vote for DWTS...did you see the yellow with red flower fabric in Maryz's tesslating star quilt? it would be perfect in my living room...

Sharona, cement?? wow, you surely don't waste time.. .how exciting, it will be wonderful to move into...

Chickie.. I told Marilyn about Tess and her exact words were.. "how cool... that's really neat grandma" tell her I said great job too.. your birthday sounds like it was wonderful.. happy belated from me

Maryz.. our paint colors are the opposite of yours.. the deep red is in our living room and the light sage green in the dinning room.. we still need to paint the kitchen which will have one red wall and the rest yellow, the opposite of the living room... and the laundry room will be yellow...how was the grand opening of the quilt shop?

Karlene.. how is that Miss Harley? I saw the cutest patterns for baby blankets.. they completely wrapped the baby and one was shaped like a mermaid with a tail, another was a bumble bee... some had hats... so so cute... I think they were Simplicity.

Mel.. hope things chilled out at work..

Lyn.. sorry the Mac N Cheesin was a bust.. maybe it's the type of cheese you use..

Jana, I bet that Ethan is the best music director in the world.. I would love to see him direct... what's a hot chocolate quilt?

well I need to get moving.. hope you all have the best day ever.

Good Morning....

I have been sick with a fever for days & I'm so happy to be feeling better. First thing on my today's list is change the sheets! I'll work on machine quilting DD2's quilt. It should get easier as I get away from the center. I want it to be done so I can take it with me to Austin for Thanksgiving. Oh yes, I need to find a shuttle to the airport.

Lois.....the cold is here too....23' & the lake is starting to freeze.
Happy Quilting.

Mary/rosebud....have a great day.

Dolores...how nice for you if you go south. I hope you find the perfect place. Happy you.

Sherry.....sounds like a full day. Hope you find a little quilting something.

Judi....OMG, Judi!! 27 bins? You are queen of Christmas!! Hope you have fun. It's always fun to get new decorations. I'm happy to the gluten free diet is working for Ken & that you bread came out good.

Well I'm of to the laundry.

Love & prayers to all in need.......Kathy

Good Morning,

LOIS - How long will you have to have PT? Is it 3x/wk? You should huddle in front of the warmth radiating from your sewing machine!

MARY R - You mentioned hand quilting your DWR a few days ago. How long does it take, approximately, for you to do a quilt that size?

DELORES - So, where south would you go? Many easterners go to FL, but we've met folks from New England in AZ and TX. This year we're leaving after Christmas and coming home sometime in March. Our friends own a place in Yuma and they go in Oct, fly home for the holidays with family, and then come home about April 1.

SHERRY - you have a full day of errands! Stay warm!

JUDI - I was wondering when the totes were coming out! lol! It's about time! I machine sewed a binding on my Christmas Swap quilt last night and I always put matching binding on two sides of my label and then catch the other two sides in the binding. Only IO accidentally sewed on the wrong label! I had to unsew, bind the correct label, and then redo the binding on that corner of the quilt. And it was 5:05. I always tell people that my brain goes off-duty at 5pm and I sure proved it last night!

BECCA - I can't wait to see a photo of all your doll clothes. I remember when my girls were little, their aunt crocheted them all the characters in Strawberry Shortcake.

CHRISS - as for walls, I love color. I had my fill of white walls in the 80's and 90's. I love color in my life! Sounds like you do, too! The shop opening was great! I only found one glitch though: I found some fabric I wanted and they took the bolt while I shopped. I told her I wanted 1.5 yds. So they cut it and started a 'suspended sale' in the cash register. So when I chose the rest of my fabric and went to pay, I reminded her about that first piece. Well, she remembered to charge me for it, but I didn't discover until last night about 7pm that she forgot to put it in the bag! So now I have to go back. Also, they said they had a 'gift' for anyone purchasing a yard of more of fabric - probably an emory board or something - but there was no gift in my bag either. So they have a few bugs to work out yet.

I'm not sure what I'm doing today. But I need a birthday present for another friend. I shopped all day yesterday and could find nothing. Since her birthday will be celebrated the same time as the friend who is getting the Hawaiian quilt I just finished, maybe I should do her a quilt, too. Let's see - I have 3 weeks. I suppose I could do it. I'll think about that today. Thinking should keep me busy!

Have a sew-per day!

KATHY - so glad you're feeling better! I wonder what you had. When are you leaving for Texas? Didn't you say your DD lives in the SE part of town? Mine lives west of town, over near Bee Cave on the north side of Lake Travis. Sure wish our travels would cooincide some year! We were there for TG last year.
