Good morning Pals
Woke up yesterday planning to spend time working on the borders but ended up cleaning the whole kitchen, appliances and all, then the windows in the kitchen and dining room, the living room and then the patio got a good blowing/cleaning. The only drawback is that my hands and feet doubled in size and my back is killing me so know sewing for me. Hopefully when I wake up my hands and feet will feel better and I can get these borders done and finished.
Rob was able to winterize the house and get it ready for the heater to be used when it is time.
It is quilting group tonight and will be sewing the binding to my SS project.

This season of DWTS is seriously proving itself to be a popularity contest and not a dancing contest. Twice now the wrong person has been voted off - Ugh!!! As much as I like Bill Engvall as a comedian he really is a very stiff dancer :)

Received a message from Jacquie - She is doing so much better now - misses you all and will be back soon :) :) Please always keep her in your prayers.

Shirley Mae - HUGE HUGS, Blessings and Prayers sent your way for peace and comfort in your travels.

Sorry that is all the hands will let me do. Hope you all have a TERRIFIC TUESDAY!!!

Good morning Teresa and those that follow.
Yesterday was a busy day at work so I didn't get any sewing done. Today is another work day. Who knows what will or will not get done in my studio this evening. We are supposed to get a cold front coming through early this morning. Possibly some snow. But only enough to talk about. Well, I better get going. Have a wonderful day.
Teresa - I agree about DWTS. In fact I quit watching it. I noticed early on how the good dancers were getting voted off. I liked Snookie and she was good. But, that is my opinion.

Today will be finding a box to put my ss gifts in I still need a few more little things so I will get them this week and wrap everything up and get it ready for the PO.

Yesterday was a nice day my DH had a DR's apt and I had a PT apt at the same time so when we finished up and got out we went for breakfast then we went to the drug store and I returned the compression stockings and ordered diabetic socks then he took me to the fabric warehouse .

I never got into dancing with the stars.

Well I Hope Everyone has a great day.

Today is going to be a day alone for me. I do have a friend coming for tea at about 1 but the whole day I have to myself.
I'm thinking of cleaning out my sewing room some maybe make a block or two. I should really start that eagle but I know I won't.

Morning to all,
It's been a long time (over a year)since I've joined a sew-in, I've missed it. Many changes for my family. Bought a new house, got renters for old house, grandson born, daughter moved twice, I changed jobs and love it, sold rental house to the renters, had to move FIL to assisted living and close his house down and this coming weekend daughter and grandson will be moving back to town which makes me very happy!! I am finally done with rest of the house and am about to start working on setting up and organizing my sewing room. I am about 14 months away from retirement, could do it in January but have some projects I want to do in my sewing room that need me to keep getting a full paycheck for a while longer. Sure hope to be here more often, miss my stitching family!! Hope everyone has a wonderful Tuesday and gets to spend some time with their stash. Happy stitching!! Debi

Good morning...

Chickie.. sorry the pecans are slowing down... congrats to Tasha's team.. glad they gave her something to really cheer about...

Lyn, hope you got a big mac n cheese yesterday,

Cindy, glad the nutcracker was fun..sounds like you got some treasures... Jerry did 2 coats of the red and has a little touch up to do but it really looks good next to the yellow... I do like the idea of white with it. and thanks for the advice to pick a rug before picking the drapes.. great idea.

Sharona, there is a town here about an hour away that has melodrama's.. so fun to boo the villian and applaud the hero..I will take pictures of the painted rooms once we are done.. this really is the first time I have had walls that weren't white..there is lots to do and I am excited to see it done.

Lois.. your DH is a thoughtful man.. to offer before you ask is wonderful... hope your doc appt goes well tomorrow.

Jana, great idea to make one backing and quilt like a crazy woman.

Judi, I am so sorry to hear about your friend and student... please add my prayers to the mix... do you have a quilt ready for her or do you need more blocks.?

MaryRose, your quilt will be beautiful...I would love a frame but not sure where I would store it...

Karlene.. you have three beautiful girls.. glad you got to hold Harley for a few hours.. it is so good to be you.

Chrissy, if Myles gets to come home when you have a birthday you will just need to have more birthdays...you'll end up being 150 years old but Myles will always be home.. win win...

Teresa, glad to know Bill Engvall didn't get kicked off dancing.. I do like him.. even though he isn't the best dancer...I will watch the rest tonight to see who got let go...hope your swelling goes down and you get your sewing done

Suzette, hope you get to play in your room today... don't forget to turn on the heat before you go out.

Vicky.. is the eagle for the harley quilt? enjoy your day.

Debi, what a year.. you've been quite busy... glad it all is working out.

so here's my question.. if the living room wall is red, and the dinning room wall is green and they are separated by an arch and two little cut out thingies what color do I paint the inside of the arch and cut out thingies?

while you all ponder that and give me your best adivice I will go make breakfast and get my lunch together.. you all have a superb day.

Good Morning Girls

Happy Tuesday! One day closer to the weekend! Not much to report from up here, other than it's COLD and frosty this morning!

Stopped at Joann on the way home from work last night...and after stopping at Mill End fabrics TWICE last weekend I now this I do have ENOUGH fabric. In fact, if I mention that I might NEED more... somebody SLAP ME! I wore one of the scarves I made from Minke fabric to work yesterday and got requests to make some to sell! Luckily Joann had minke 40% off yesterday so I picked up a few different colors.

Teresa... no wonder your hands all swelled up... all that housework and cleaning! You definitely must be allergic to house work! Hope they are much better for you today and you can get back to playing with your borders.

Lois..Glad you made it to the Fabric Warehouse. Did you find some pretties?

MaryR... Hope your work passes quickly and that it is a good one!

Suzette... Snow in Virginia? Luckily none in the forecast here for a while!

Deb... My goodness you've had a lot going on over the last year! Hope things settle down for you and you can get back to sewing and visiting here!

Vicky.... enjoy your "alone" day!

Chriss.. can't wait to see pictures of your painting! As for the arch and the other thingees... My advice... paint it an off white... if you want the rooms to look a little separated--or the red or green if you want them to blend.

Computer time is up for the morning. Hi Ho, Hi Ho, it's off to work I go.

wishing you all again a most wonderful day

Woke up this morning late sgain but I don;t have a schedule there was a dusting of snow everywhere so it looks like powdered sugar, cold though. ken will go swimming today I will stay home and nurse a sore knee,,,,just arthritis aching this morning,,,I took my bone pill and do not have any side affects today,,,,no joint pain except for the knee which was hurting before the pill...LOL. getting old ain't for sissies.

I will wait to hear from both gals with breast cancer,,,,,Cindi was to hear about her biopsy yesterday but my sis hasn't called me. My other friend is waiting to hear from the surgeons office. I made about 10 blocks mtself and have enough for many quilts....so maybe God knew that I should take on this project way before I did,,,,His plan for me was a bit different than mine, I thought we wouldn't need the blocks and the quilts would languish in a bin......how wrong I was....I am sad though. It is the age old question...why do bad things happen to good people?

well I am about ready for coffee.....it is hard to wait the half hour after the meds....so I set t he timer and wait for the ding....

Have a wonderful day,,,,,,prayers for all who need them, Hugs too...XXXOOO
