Good Morning Pals
The last few days have me making and binding mt SS's gift and working on the piano keys for the Braid Quilt. To overwhelmed to try and figure out the spacing for the diagonal braids to fit well and I didn't want to loos fabric making it the other way so I thought the piano keys would be the easier and most flexible.
Received some wonderful Star blocks from Debbie. Fabulous choice of fabrics that will be lovely in a Christmas Quilt.
Will be skipping church this morning to head to town. Rob needs a fasting blood test and Monday isn't working out. I do bleieve the Good Lord will forgive us

Othre than this and that there is not much else going on. Huge Hugs and Prayers for you all. Definitely think and pray for you as I play with lots of cotton.
Have a Blessed Day

Good morning Teresa and those that follow.
Before I get started I have to tell you about a show on the Food Network. If you are a fan of that network they have a show about their first 20 years. It came on last night but I am sure they will repeat it. It was a really good show. Hubby got up early this morning so we are going to IHOP for breakfast. They have the most wonderful pumpkin spice pancakes. When we get back I am heading out to my studio. I want to get my Secret Santa gift done. I found in my stash a great fabric for the backing. Well, the bad thing about going out for breakfast is I have to get dressed. Can't stay in my pjs. Have a great morning . I will check back later.
Teresa - have a great day.

Good Sunday Morning
This has been a fun week for me. We are all settled in to our Winter Texan location. I received the most wonderful SS Teaser gift of a whole stack of quilt blocks that my "Santa" had won in the Monthly Lotto earlier in the year. Wow, I have never made a Christmas quilt for myself. This will be fun for me, but I can't decide if I should put them together by sewing one to another, keeping each in the same direcction, or if I should turn every other one to create another look.?????
Then I will need to choose a backing and border, etc. I am looking forward to this. I am so curious of who my SS is????
It's quite clever of her to use Lyn to deliver my package. What fun these teasers get to be.
I hope you all are having a great weekend. It is always great to read about your day and what you are all up to.
Don't know anything else to say today. Sending prayer and hugs to all.
Velda

Morning all, so sorry I haven't been around.....I've really been struggling the last few weeks, my depression is rearing it's ugly head again, even though I am still on meds.....I've wanted to sit indoors and do nothing, I've only gone out because I've been forced to, like the free motion embroidery class last week, it was my idea for a group of us to go and i was the driver and I couldn't let the others down, had DH's staff do yesterday, a christmas party that was early as one of his workers is goingt o australia for a year in a couple of weeks, but that has just about wiped me out....I tried going to the supermarket the other day and nearly had a melt down in the store, I don't know whats come over me

but I just wanted to pop in and say hi, sorry for anything I've missed and to let you know that I do think of you all and pray for you all each day xxx
don't worry about SS, I will fulfil my commiment.....I'll pop in when i can xx

Good Morning,
TERESA - good luck to Rob with his blood work. I'm with you - when I'm overwhelmed mentally, physically, or emotionally is no time to be tackling tricky patterns! That's when I press and square up all the zillion little leftover HST's I keep from various projects. No brain work, but still sewing sewing work.
JULES - so sorry you haven't been well. I was thinking of you yesterday and wondering how it's going with you. Will say a prayer that things improve for you soon. How is Charley doing in her new home? How long until the wedding?
SUZ - that's what I don't like about eating out - you have to get cleaned up, dressed, do hair, and wear shoes. I wish restaurants were come as you are! lol! But those pancakes do sound tasty . . .
VELDA - it's good to be Velda! If you can't decide on your arrangement, lay them out each way and then take photos and look at them. Or sometimes even just looking through the camera lens is enough. It really makes a difference. I had to make a sashing decision yesterday and did that and it was immediately obvious then which fabric made everything *POP*. Happy sewing!
LOIS - I hope it feels as good to you as it sounds to us to read that you'll be spending the day in your sewing room!
JUDI - congrats on those windows! I haven't even thought about mine. I haven't thought about Christmas shopping either. Though I need some of my gifts in early Dec. I supposed I should get a wiggle on and hit the stores one of these days.
Yesterday I finished a new Tree skirt for us and cut out a small Christmas quilt. Today, I'm thinking of going to Joann's with my 60% off coupon and buying a new giant cutting mat. Mine is older than dirt and I hear that really can dull your rotary blades. Other than that and sewing, I have no plans today!
hope your day is sew-tastic!

This IS the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice!
I wrote that as a reminder to me. I've giving a devotional at Tia's shower today and I'm pretty anxious about it.
Had a pretty good day yesterday, no sewing but I got to show off some sewing to Shannon
Keep looking up!
Vicky

I will get my shower and get out of the house
I have a mission.
I have to make a diaper bag for a friend of mine and

Never realized that was fabric made in Japan and not
