Good morning Lois and those that follow.
I just saw on the news that the Salvation Army starts their Red Kettle campaign today. Now you know for sure that Christmas is around the corner. My goodness I don't even have my Thanksgiving turkey yet. Oh well. I am off today and as usual have lots to do. Including working in my studio. On Sunday we are going to see Lynryd Skynryd. I won tickets from a local radio station and the concert is helping raise money for local charities that help the military. That is my day in a nutshell. I will check back later.
Lois - I had to wear the compression stocking when I started walking on my leg after breaking it. It wasn't too bad.

My mother in law will be getting out of the hospital today.
I have a busy day with that.
Then DH and I are going out to eat and to visit my daughter Shannon.
I got those Sylvia blocks done yesterday, just in time for the new ones to be posted. Tess, I hope they're easy ones again!
Have a good day,
Vicky

Morning Quilters...
I'm thinking I should have basted the quilt. All these safety pins, I don't have enough. I"m going to straight pins. I'm home all day no running around. I'm not going to Long Island to visit my DD! The car has to go in for brakes on Tues. We are both disappointed. I'll go in Dec.
Lois......you sound like my Kim. She goes out and when she comes home hes ankle is in pain. Sewing sounds like a good idea.
Suzette....I passed by a radio station playing Christmas music. I thought that started on black Friday. Congrats on your ticket win. He sure is a blast from the past.
I'm off to dress warm. Love & Prayers to all in need.....Kathy
holy shock.....there are a few snow flakes out there!!!! And some blue skies. They stopped.

Re: TGIF November 8, 2013
good morning.. I just love that my weekend will start soon.. it will be full of soccer games on Saturday, and if we win the tournament it will be a couple of games on Sunday.. pray we don't win...lol
Kathy, glad you found a doctor you like..any new updates on your ride to the airport.. why doesn't sis want to take you, is it a high traffic area.?
Chickie.. I love wood ducks, they are just beautiful. nice that DH is building them a house.
Cindyg.. I bet Gavin is having lots of fun with you...glad you didn't take your crocheting.. would hate to see a quilter with a UFO...lol...I have family that started in Flushing Long Island and ended up in Texas too..Nutcracker market sounds cool.
Sharona, you're going to have an outbuilding very soon.. what a blessing...prayers for your pastors son... sorry your ex neighbor showed his ugly side..seems lately there are lots of people out there with ugly sides...sad to be them... Marilyn's school issues aren't big... she had a little tiff in school, but they see how far she's come from the ferral child she was last year till now and are giving her a warning.
Jana.. I forgot, what pattern are you making... sorry you had to endure the attention from all those grands... my gosh your heart must have been over filled..
Izzy, Marilyn's school problems aren't as bad as we thought... what irritates me is that Jerry asks her teacher at least once a week how she's doing and he always says fine... then we find out we weren't told about something that had gone on.. prayers for Gabrielle and her trip.. and the nursing home lady who just wants her son to come see her...
Tina... happy grandma day to you...
Karlene.. my heart sure goes out to you... I believe your reactions to all of this were normal... you had a trusted friend who wronged Victoria.. you were both betrayed by a manipulating person who had one goal in mind...his real personality was hidden from you.. he didn't want you to know who he really was so he hid it. Personally I think those in the church who brushed it under the rug are equally as guilty. how dare them not want to help protect a child and not validate her innocense in all of this...the blessing is that at that young age you had such a relationship with your daughter that she was willing to come talk to you and you believed her and helped her... it must be neat to have a mom like that...
Karon, is there another doctor in your area? this one sounds loopy...
Lois.. hope you rest that leg..whatcha sewin?
Suzette, have a fun concert date with DH..
Vicky.. glad MIL gets out of the hospital.. hope she's all better.
Kathy, happy snow day.
and it's time to make breakfast.. I also need to help Jerry pick out paint colors, we are on to the rest of the house, finally...
you all have a super day
Chriss

Good morning!
TINA - congratulations on your new little grandson!! If he takes after his Gramma Tina, he'll be a sweet keeper for sure!
LOIS - You may have paid later for overdoing it at the store, but I bet it felt good while you were there! Hope today is a good one for you. Your sewing room sounds like a therapeutic place for you to be.
SUZ - congrats on winning the tickets! Enjoy the concert. I'm not a big concert fan because they don't let me take my needlework in! lol!!
VICKY - best wishes to your MIL as she comes home. good job on getting your SB's finished!
KATHY - sorry your plans got changed, but when something like that happens I always think that maybe it altered fate (hopefully in a good way!), maybe saved me from an accident or something. Softens the disappointment. Yesterday we drove by a small store that was all decorated for Christmas including a large Christmas tree! And it wasn't a shop selling decorations. It was a liquor store.
CHRISS - Didn't we already pray for you to lose some soccer games? Did I read correctly and you are now in tournaments? Did we not pray hard enough? So sorry. This negative praying is so confusing! lol!!
Yesterday we took a sudden trip to the Warm Factory to buy a bolt of batting. And it's close to DH's sis's house so we stopped in to see her hubby who had knee surgery on Tuesday and took him some gingerale. It was a very stormy day and a nasty drive. About 160 miles RT. But we finally got home and have our batting! Now I should be good on batting for a couple of years. Today - on to my talberunner. I have to have it finished by tomorrow.
Keep those bobbins rollin'! (smile, Sharona!)

Re: TGIF November 8, 2013
Good morning from 36 sunny Michigan. You are all so busy...I gutted and cleaned the sewing room yesterday and did the windows. quiet and clean now. I will do my bedroom today if ken doesn't have other plans.. I did go down and feed the cat and get coffee before coming in here, as I put the storm windows in the house gets quieter and quieter....nice since we live right in town on a busy street. we are also near the airport and the train tracks....so it can get pretty noisy here...we are used to it though. The river is so pretty right now but it gets even more beautiful with the snow...not yet though. I did get out my Minnesota boots and make sure they are ready and Ken put the plow on his tractor. The story behind the boots is when DD was moving back from Minnesota to Michigan I went 3 weeks early to help her pack and move. I asked her if I should bring winter boots (it was march) she said no they didn't get a lot of snow in the spring (LOL) I had to buy good boots as it snowed every day I was there practically.. so now I call them the minnesota boots. They are good and warm too.
Well I need to get Ken some breakfast as he asked for an egg white omelet. So everyone have a great day....and for someone who asked I do not have to get on my roof to do the windows upstairs,,,,they all pullin to wash and the storms are self storing..so all can be done from the inside. (they would never get done otherwise as I have a fear of heights,)Prayers and hugs to all XXXOOO

Lois - making it thru the store is great. Way to go. So how's your foot today?
Suz - have fun sewing today and at the concert on Sunday.
Vicky - good luck with your MIL today. Do you have her care giver all set up or will you have to be going over there to do it?
Kathy - have you ever tried the basting spray? Sorry you are missing the visit with your DD.
Chriss - oh, I remember those tournaments. They seem to go on forever. You want them to win because that's what your kid wants yet you want them to lose so you can get away from that ball park (or whatever)and get on with your life - LOL.
Maryz - you are too funny - negative praying - LOL. I'm glad you made it home safe and sound yesterday.
I'm at work now but after work I'll meet DH for dinner and then I GET TO GO HOME - YIPPEE!!!!!!!!!! I've got laundry to do so I'll do that whilst I sew. Tomorrow is the Nutcracker Market and I'm getting excited for that. Then I think on Sunday we will go to Garden Ridge Pottery and get a smaller Christmas tree. The 9' one we have now is just too big and heavy for us to get up and down out of the attic anymore. We're just too old. Also, if I get a smaller tree I can get a rotating stand for it - I just love those trees that move. It makes them sparkle just that much more and I'm all about the sparkle.
May we all get to fondle fabric today. I know I sure am - I've missed it.
