Good morning Pals
Yesterday was a wonderful day. Donna's DH loved the first Rag quilt so much he asked for his own so she came over to put together the rest of the blocks she had and we were ven able to make a trip around the world. While she was working on hers I was finishing up making 10 more LAST braid blocks. I will sew those to the 2 halves and then sew them together tonight and tomorrow am. I even finished sewing 2 more Lotto blocks that I had cut out and ready. We did all this while the Verizon Man was outside climbing the poles to figure out why we have so much static on our home phone. I was smart enough to record the static using my cell while talking to Courtney on the home. NOW I HAVE PROOF!!!! LOL
Today Donna is coming over to finish up the Rag Quilt and then we go over to Jamie's at 2 to sew some more or work on anything we please - Loving this time with a new group with old and new friends. Amazing how much more you get sewn with friends :) :)

Mary - thanks for letting me know of the border you used but no that is not the one. All the strips are going the same way on a diagonal starting at one point and going all the way around the quilt. I think I am going to play it safe and make the piano keys on the outside border and see how much fabric I have left to make the inside border. I am hoping I have enough to go all the way around but if not then I will corner them first.

Lois - You tired? No way. With all you do with the broken ankle you put me to shame. I am just trying to keep up :) :) No voting for us today. Actually felt wrong for some reason.

Shirley Mae - How are you feeling?

Grammie - Any word on the results for Cindy? Prayers and Hugs

Chriss - I am blind. I couldn't find the borders on Quilter's Cache :(

Vicky - Hope you talked to the Dr. today. Need to stay healthy to give cuddles to everyone :) :)

Joan - Judy Niemeyer is going to be in Bakersfield, CA in December. Thinking I might go check her out.

Jana - No fair. My room is always in the state of trial :) :)

Kathy - I LOVE chicken & cranberry. Jamie makes the most delicious chicken/craisin/walnut salad sandwiches. We are having those today!!

Chrissy - Huge hugs for Myles. Always praying for him too get better.

Tina - Is lucky 7 going to be the day :) Was hoping for the 4th :)

Chickie - HAPPY DAY-AFTER BIRTHDAY to your mom. How lovely to have a tea party with your niece and grand niece. These are the moments you treasure.

Maryq - HAPPY DAY-AFTER BIRTHDAY to you. I LOVE celebrating my birthday no matter how old I am. Glad you had your family and friends with you to make it special for you. How is your roommate? I was so hoping she would have been a quilting buddy.

Lyn - I love my EZI Table but I need an insert for my BabyLock which weighes half of what my Janome weighs. What kind of beads do you use. Jamie and I like to go to the shop up in Tehachapi and oogle over so many colors, shapes and wishes. She makes purses and beads the top edge. The Kumihimo Loom looked WOW and Fun. Hope you post pictures of what you make.

Velda - I love the pictures of Fall you send me. I loved how you paint the picture of what you see looking out your window :)

Cindy - Are you still floating on cloud 9 from the show. Rob retires late next year so I am hoping that net year will be the year!!!

Sherry - I saw the book, Killing Jesus, but have so many other books stacked up waiting and some in my Kindle that it is now on my TO READ List.

OK I am off to bed. Need some sleep to stitch all those strips for the borders tomorrow. HUGS and PRAYERS to EVERYONE!!!!!

Good morning all.

Just on my way to bed and wanted to pop in and catch up a little.

Maryq, so sorry I missed your birthday. Hope it was the best one, yet!

Work was crazy-busy today (actually, yesterday LOL)! I so wish we would win the lottery! Oh well, another day another dollar. I didn't even have time to log on and read about everyone's day.

Vicky, I hope you are feeling better today.

Not much going on around here other than working. Trying to get used to the "longer" evenings since the time change. It always seems so strange the first week or two after the time changes. I hate getting home when it is dark out....oh, well, this too shall pass.

Teresa, I can't wait to see your finished braid quilt.

Maryz, did you make a big haul at Trains? Wish I had taken some time off work to run over there. Maybe next year.

Well, it is time to hit the sack. I hope you all have a wonderful day. I will try to check in from work later....

Hugs and prayers,
Mel

Good morning Mel, Teresa and those that follow.
I missed yesterday. When I got up I felt so bad. Like I was coming down with a cold. I drank some hot tea and felt so much better. Today I am off from work. I am meeting a friend for lunch and then taking my films down to the hospital. So maybe this afternoon I can get out to my studio and work on my Secret Santa gift. That's about it today. I will check in later.
Mel - I would love to win the lottery. Just think of all the fabric we could buy!!
Teresa - sounds like you have been so busy sewing. Enjoy
Vicky - hope your stomach is doing better. Have you tried ginger ale? That is our favorite for upset stomach. The ginger does wonders.

Good Morning Ladies,

yesterday we went and voted for Governor and afterwards we came home and had lunch did a little gabbing on the phone then I asked my DH if he would take me to the fabric warehouse and he did so I got a few pieces of Christmas fabric and when we got back I was tired so nothing got started with that fabric.

Today I have PT then afterwards will come home and more than likely I will whined up in my sewing room working on something or another.

Teresa you are 1 busy lady with all the quilting that you do will your friend post a picture of her raggy quilt I cant wait to see your braid.

Well I Hope Everyone Has A Great Day.
Prayers Go Out To All In Need.

Good morning,
I am feeling much better so far this morning. We will see what happens after I eat something.

I thought I would share this picture of me and Timothy at Tia's house three weeks ago. One of the young ladies there took this picture and I just got it this morning. A picture of me I actual like (those are few and far between)

I'm up and out of bed early today. It was 4:30 when I got up, couldn't sleep anymore and DH is up so I thought I might as well get up with him.

Tia was coming today. I will eat and wait a while and see how I'm feeling then call her to let her know if she should come or not. I also haven't seen my MIL since Friday! I really want to get there to see her too.

I only got the label on Timothy's quilt yesterday. I did go in the sewing room to work on the Sylvia blocks but never got started on them.

I hope you all have a great day.
Keep looking up!
Vicky

Good morning everyone. Glad to see that I am not the only one up this early. It sounds like everyone has a full day planned already.
Mary I am sorry that I missed your birthday.
I got a message from our daughter last nite. Myles is not strong enough for surgery right now so needs a few days/weeks of TPN. He ultimately will have surgery. He is struggling with refeeding syndrome and they have adjusted his TPN. And fluids to fix that. "Right now we need lots of prayers".
Judi any word on Cindy
Torrie did great with her pet scan, no cancer found anywhere else. Thank you for all the prayers
Shirley Mae, I am thinking about you my friend
Kathyquilts, I have those socks for Kim sitting here to mail, MY BAD.
Wishing everyone good health and a beautiful day
Prayers and positive thoughts going out to one and all in need

Good Morning Girls!

First of all... Thank you all for the birthday wishes! It was a very nice day...even tho I went to work. One of my co-workers ran out on her lunch and drove all the way to Joann and got me a $25 gift card! How sweet is that? Woke up this morning to find a bag of Red Licorice -one of my faves- and a beautiful card from my room mate on the table! I am truly blessed in so many ways!

Also woke up to about 5" of snow on the ground... it looks like a Christmas card out my window this morning. Started yesterday late afternoon and was a little dicey getting home from work. It is pretty I have to say, but I'm sure not a fan of driving in it!

Mel...The way I look at it... another day... another 50 cents--that's all that's left after taxes! You do know that if you win the lottery, you have to share with the rest of us!

Vicky... love the picture!! There just isn't too much better than snuggling with a tiny baby is there? Hope your tummy is feeling better today!

Chrissy... MAJOR prayers coming today for Myles!!! Poor kid!!!

Lois...Hope your PT goes well and then you can come home and play with your new fabric.

Teresa.. how fun to spend your days with quilting buddies! And look at how much you got done with all the chatting and giggling going on at the same time!

Suzette... Have a great time at lunch today. Hope you get out to the studio today to play!

Velda... LOVED the picture from Houston!! You gals look gorgeous! How fun to see such smiley faces!

Chickie.. your Mom and I share a birthday? How cool is that! Hope she had a great day too!

Tina... well that baby missed my day! But Friday would be a good day too... any day a baby arrives safe and sound is a GOOD day!

Time for me to fly... today is my son's birthday so I have to call him and wish him a happy day. I should have called him at 3:28am! Will have to remind him that no matter how old he gets, he's still my little boy!

Have a wonderful day girls!!

Good Cloudy Morning......

I'm feeling really down this morning. My sister for a mix of reasons does not want to drive me to the airport later this month. I checked with shuttles before I booked & they con't want to come out here. So now I have to hire a car...$$$$$ I'm really disappointed & sad.
My medical records finally made it to the new Dr so I'll be going there at 11:00. And then to the PO. I need to start racking the leaves I can't see the grass in the back yard. I'll just rake them in the a tarp & drag them into the woods.

I'll check back in later. I'm off to look for a ride.

Love & Prayers for all.....Kathy

Teresa - I love Judy Neimeyer quilts. I just wish I would finish the one I have hanging on my design wall. I'm procrastinating. You will not regret coming to the Houston quilt show - I guarantee it.

Mel - I wish we would win the lottery, too. The way my quilt projects are lining up I really need to retire!

Suz - if I won the lottery I would certainly buy fabric galore but I'd also build a house with a huge sewing studio - big enough to fit my 12' quilting frame and machine in there and have a space for all my machines and plenty of room for my big cutting table. I'd have a half bath in there and a little kitchenette so I could have my coffee pot going. That is SO my dream!

Lois - our people here voted NOT to restore the Astrodome and turn it into a large convention center. Now they will demolish it - the 8th wonder of the world. Glad you got fabric and I hope you get to use it today.

Vicky - you sound like you are feeling better so I hope you get to see Tia today. That is a good picture.

Chrissy1 - I feel so bad for Myles. He's just a kid. I don't know what TPN is. Glad Torrie doesn't have cancer in other places.

I'm at work. Last night I had to go stay with Gavin at my sister's because they are out of town. I took him and got him a new cell phone because his dad won't pay for the phone he got him since Gavin doesn't live with him anymore. I actually slept pretty good considering I was in a strange house and a strange bed with a strange dog. It just felt really odd to be in my sister's house without them being there. I miss my sewing and can't wait 'til I can go home on Friday after work.

I hope you can all fondle fabric today.
