Good Morning everyone It's a cool morning in West Virginia this morning. Frost is in the air.
Today will be a busy work day, fall chores need to be completed.
Apple butter is in the slow cooker, laundry is started, Mom's breakfast in ready, and I would love to get chicken house cleaned today...Sewing is out of the question today, many other things that have to be done.
The leaf color is wonderful this year. The frost will turn it all to golden brown and rusty reds. Still haven't gotten my fall tree quilt started. Oh, maybe next year.

Lois--hope you can sew some today

Blessings to each who follow. Redtop

Tess I bet your applebutter smells delicious. Lois hope you can sew/ I am fall cleaning...Dining Room (china cabinet) and Ken's office. His office may take all day. Need to clear the clutter from there, floor need mop and glow too. Ken is suposed to go and cut firewood today but it is raining,,,,BIL doesn't seem to think that is a problem...but I think they should do it when it isn't raining,,,,working with chain saws when it is wet and slippery doesn't sound good to me....they are all metting for breakfast this morning so if it works out I will have the day to myaelf. If not just an hour or 2. I might not get the windows done due to the rain but we shall see. you know how plans can change,

I have binding on one more quilt and then the boys quilts need to be started,,,they are squares so nothing too complicated....Annebelle will be humming this week.

Hope you all hve a great day,,,,gloomy and rainy or sunny and bright.

I have to get goat barn ready; peanut is about to burst. I will take pic of her and post. She gave me triplets on halloween last year and she is even bigger this year HUMMMM maybe 4 in there:)) Now to gather up names for them once born. Last years were easy: Jack, Candy and pumpkin:) Charlie is the daddy so may go with some names from charlie brown/peanuts cartoon:)

Also have to clean out hen house their laying bins are yuk. My DS brought me a barrel of cedar shavings from his workshop and we put that in floor. Other coop needs some straw on ground so muddy in there you just slide to back of coop its a lil incline:)

Looks like rain its only 47 out there and hi today is 52 with rain.

I plan to finish sbs blocks today, clean up sewing room, sew some pink blocks and hopefully put together the new blocks sent to me for NH quilts. We will see what really gets done:)

Hope all have nice Saturday dont work too hard. Got to make girls pancakes this morning. DH got in deer stand at 630 this morning; hope he gets one freezer is bare:)

Good Chilly Morning....

The temp sure did drop last night...38'. Time to bring in the last few tomatoes. Yesterday my neighbor called & invited me out for some shopping. That woman like to drive we went far & wide. I ended up with a electric blanket & some fancy soaps for Christmas gifts. Come & get me Christmas shopping I'm ready.
Today it's uglies & sewing for me. I'm start with pink blocks.

Lois.....I'm hoping your foot is sewing mode.

Tess.....I can smell your apple butter.....so good. I hope to be back in to making jams starting in the spring. I hope you get some of your work load done today. I agree the colors are so wonderful this year.

Judi....happy cleaning. Boy you were just waiting for the OK from the Dr. I never much of this on Long Island, there are huge, huge piles of fire wood growing out there. There are many place that sell pellets for burning too.

Izzy....OMG...Peanut might have 4 kids! What do you do with all of them? I love your list of names. Happy hunting to DH.

I will be back today....

Love & Prayers to all in need.......Kathy

Good morning,

LOIS - when my older brothers were young and too small to reach the pedals of the old farm truck and still see out the windshield, one of them got on the floor to work the pedals and one of them stood on the seat and steered. The third acted as navigator. If you can't use your foot yet to work the pedal of your machine, maybe you can squeeze one more favor out of that wonderful hubby of yours and have him do it for you. Or at least put the pedal up on the table and you can work it by hand. Awkward, but girl, these is desperate times!

TESS - sounds like fall, and it's accompanying chores, has really landed at your house!

JUDI - I hope your rain stops so you can chase the menfolk out, but I'd wish it harder if it were sewin' you'd be doin!

IZZY - Triplet goats would be fun! I like the idea of naming them all from the Peanuts Strip. How is your DH's rash?

KATHY - Christmas craft boutiques are getting into full swing here! Happy shopping!

Yesterday I accidentally got involved in changing around some of my sewing room. Mostly just emptied and moved a shelving unit out of the closet and re-filled it, and moved my scrapbooking things into the closet as I use them much less often. More sewing things are handier now. Today will be making a pumpkin pie and finish packing the trailer for camping. and maybe a few uglies.

May your bobbin always be full!

DH rash is same but has lots of pain. Came in from hunting early not feeling well said wearing hat caused headache and rash to shoot pain:::::Shingles I am sure now. He cant bear for anything to touch back of neck or head(did I mention he is bald) so in bed he went. Poor baby. He told me to go quilt LOL gotta do what the man of the house says:))))))

Sooo here I am in sewing room on laptop hahahah But was going through blocks to sew for lap tops and wanted to make sure I had thanked each of you personally:))

I have 3 that are what they call freshened: able to milk:) None right now milking Peanut pg and daughters are all with buck for spring deliverys hopefully:) Peanut and charlies males go for sale they can be registered by buyer both parents are registered nubians:) other Males we slaughter. Sad but meat is really lean and good for you:)

Happy sewing
Izzy

Good Morning Girls

Yes it's Me, I'm still here! Been a very busy week running back and forth to Jen's MIL's. But oh what a sweetheart she is! I got to have Jen and Eli here on Thursday night and how fun it was to have baby toys all over the place. Today I'm home for a bit to get some chores done, then meeting everybody at DEX's house for supper. Tomorrow I'm hoping Jen, Michael, Kaya and Eli can see my Sister--meet some where for lunch or something. I have to go back to work on Monday, and they fly home Monday Night.... the week went by way too fast!

Lois.. sure hope you can figure out a way to sew today! A day without sewing is... well just another dumb day! Can you use your left foot? Once upon a time I was going to try to figure out how to sew with two machines at the same time, thinking I could get more done!

Maryz... You make me want to get into my sewing room and rearrange! Jen looked in there yesterday and said "Your closet threw up" I could clean today, but cleaning takes away from actually sewing time! How was the Christmas Craft Boutique? There's a HUGE one here in town the weekend before Thanksgiving... it's so huge and people come from all over the state for it... you have to park at another one of the schools in the area and take a shuttle bus, or you never get a place to park!

Tess... the leaves have been so pretty here this year as well. But the peak is past and with all the wind they've been blowing off the trees and it's starting to get ugly. Apple butter? Sounds wonderful. Is it hard to make? I've never tried making it--may be one day!

Judi... Glad to hear you got the ALL GOOD from you Dr. After mine I couldn't vacuum for 6 weeks, and strange as this sounds, I missed it! Couldn't mow my lawn until the following spring. Are you now covered in BC blocks?

Izzy... I love thinking up names... would be cute to use Characters from Peanuts... Lucy, Linus, Schroeder, Charlie of course. When I read all that you do in a day, I wonder, Do you ever sleep? How is Dh's rash? Sure hope it's not shingles... OUCH!

Kathy.... I think the frost is headed this way too, my neighbor was out cleaning up his tomatoes yesterday! They even said that nasty 4 letter word SNOW on the weather forecast last night. How is Kim doing?

Chrissy... Many many prayers for Myles today! Poor kid to have to go through so much.

Karlene... I bet you are getting so excited to have that baby girl to snuggle. Have they picked out her name yet?

Tina... prayers for your Aunt... May God grant her a peaceful passing and eternal rest.

Sharon.... please keep that snow in Colorado! Did your sewing machine survive being dropped!?

Chriss... glad you found your bread cubes. I was going to suggest using croutons, but I'm not sure if they seasoning in them would be good for stuffing. My Mom always just threw bread in a warm oven for a while to get it dried out. I make stuffing, but I never eat it. Have fun at soccer!

ScrappyPat.... SO glad to hear all went well and you are feeling good. That BC quilt has magical powers you know, it's just full of prayers and good thoughts!

Cindyg... How is your little Schatzie doing after his "blow out". I can just imagine you BOINING all over the place getting ready for the Houston show! There's a Little Quilting and Sewing show in Minneapolis the 7-8-9 of November and I have a day off work to go! And I'm BOINGING too! No where near what the Houston show is, but I've been saving up some cash to spend!

Well, girls, my coffee is kicking in, so I better get butt in gear and get a few chores done this morning. Need to throw in some laundry and clean up the kitchen. My sewing room misses me too and I hear my machine calling my name. Watched at Tutorial on Miss. Quilt Co to make scarves out of Minke fabric.... so easy and so soft! Guess what everybody is getting for Christmas this year!

Wishing you all a wonderful day with many prayers going out to all in need!
