Good morning Jules, Vicky, and those that follow.
Yesterday after lunch I got all my uglies done. So, today I can play. Hubby's birthday is fast approaching and I do not have anything for him yet. I think today I am going to run down to an art center where people rent space and sell their stuff. I am thinking about some type of painting. He has been so good to me since my diagnosis that I want to get him something different. This art center used to be a prison. When they built this place they brought the buildings up to code but used the main parts of the buildings. The floors are the original and you can see where the bars used to be. Years ago they used to make bricks here. Anyway, it is a really neat place. Off to finish my coffee. Have a wonderful day.
Jules - live the pictures of the new house. Keep pictures as work professes. When I bought our house I wish I had kept pictures.of the awful wall paper they had in the kitchen, etc.
Vicky - my thoughts are with Tia. Any news yet?

Good Rainy Morning!

We are predicted to get up to 8" in rain this weekend. Last night I was scurrying to bring in all my little yard squirrels, bunnies, deer, gnomes, etc. It's going to get ugly here!

VICKY - maybe today's the day!

LOIS - Glad you are least getting to fondle some fabric!

JULES - what a cute house! I know Charley and Stu are so very excited. Gosh! I'm excited for them! Congrats to them, and thank you for sharing it with us!

SUZ - I think a special work of art would be a great gift! What kind of art does he like?

SHRILEY MAE - do you know yet about what date you'll be hitting the road?

CAROLE - I'm so happy your drug will be approved for payment. What a relief! It seems Medicare won't cover so many things that people in the Medicare age bracket really need.

Today we just HAVE to do some laundry and clean this house. I think we'll work together on it. It will be a fun surprise for DH when he wakes up! I also need to get Autumn's quilt ready to mail. I made pillowcases to go with. Yesterday I found a Thomas Kincaid print of cabins set in mountains to use for borders in my cabin set quilt so if the uglies aren't too overwhelming today, Maybe I'll get started on the borders. And maybe this weekend sometime, I'll start playing with my Christmas Swap blocks. So let the rain come down! I've got my toys handy!

We weighed Scottie yesterday, his 9-week birhtday. He's gained 1-1/2 pounds in 10 days and grown 1-1/2 inches. And while I wouldn't claim we're potty trained yet, we've had only one accident in 5 days and that was my fault. He told me he had to go but I was just stepping out of the shower and felt I should take clothes with me out to the yard. My mistake.

I hope there's a bit of time for sewing today!

Good Morning everyone,
As the weather cools, it finds me with less work to accomplish each day. Laundry will have to wait until later in the day. The last of the garden HAS to taken care of before frost invades and damages what's late. Green peppers, small amount of corn, squash, and apples (a nice neighbor gave us) needs to be taken care of today. The late peaches are canned. Sweet potatoes haven't been harvested yet-plan to can some for casseroles and pies. Fall is coming fast.
Everyone take care and don't work to hard. I'd like to work on the Sylvia blocks today if time permits. Redtop

Good morning, I have been up since 4 am and quilting my oldest grandsons throw. I decided to sew 10 very narrow rows of stitching on the border. What was I thinking???? Too late now, but you can rest assured I will NEVER do that again. I saw it done in a Fon'd and Porter quilt, and thought it would look nice. Never thought about the amount of work it was and also hope when I trim it will be okay.

We are going to the 80's here today. A very nice day indeed. Wonder why my leg and ankle are throbbing. Hard to walk today. Stupid thing. You know when I had the problem with my infusion this past week. They took Orencia off for everyone. Not just me. My Rhumi had 150 patients on it, and was scurring around trying to find another treatment for all of us. Still wonder why Medicare decided to do that to only reverse itself.

I want to make some 12.5 pink blocks for Judi. Need to find an easy block to do. These throws are taking up most of my time. Sleep and cooking take up the rest.

Chriss - Yes, I have a book for calendar blocks. I made one for each month for a metal hanger thingy in my kitchen. I love it. Glad I went ahead and bought the hanger thingy.

MaryZ Your little boy is growing like a weed. All the love you are giving him is just what he needs. Running outside naked. Well bears run in the woods naked so can you. LOL

Well back to these borders. Want to start the second S.C. granson's today.

BBL

Well I erased my whole message again this morning,

Woke to Fog and leaves turning and fall temps. It is surely a fall day...but will warm up later.

Next week is our little towns Applefest. I usually have my yard fixed up a bit and it is a mess this year....I haven't been able to get out there and weeds and get mums out. Maybe a little this week.

Some uglies today and Annebelle time...then will make a stir fry for dinner. I bought rice noodles for Ken but am not sure what to do with them....might require a little research.

Hope you all have a great day....looks like the sun ios trying to peek out here...XXXOOO Judi

Please see if you have time to help with the breast cancer project...thank you....Judi

Cindyg: OMG, if I had that many quilts started and had to find places for them in the RV, there wouldn’t be any room for DH and Willy. LOL. I only do one at a time and then it really bothers me to have scraps around. I am always trying new craft things to use up the pieces. I have changed my thinking so much since going full time RVing. LOL
I am even having a hard time to decide if I want to make the next month’s Lotto Blocks. I am so afraid to buy more fabric. LOL
Yes I agree on the quality control at the factories. But I have to say, our list was not long and each of the issues was quite minor. Just that you do not want to let it go and then be out of warranty and have to do it yourself. One item was the new LED lights up under the electric awning. They were working great, then all of a sudden they did not light. Come to find out, the connection just did not have enough slack in it and a wire pulled out. So that is one that should have been quality control checked at the factory and should have been corrected before it left the assembly line.

We are really enjoying the fireplace this morning. It is 56 degrees outside and the glow and soft heat is so nice and cozy as we drink our coffee this morning.

Big Question to All: Are any of you in the Texas area going to attend the Babylock event at Austin, Texas – Nov 21 – 23rd. Eleanor is suppose to be leading a class or classes there. I was thinking it might be a neat thing, but don’t know how expensive it will be, etc. So I guess I should do some checking and see if I could afford to make the trip from Aransas Pass, TX to Austin. Don’t even know how far of a drive it would be.

Maryq: We don’t start getting ready to go to Texas until the end of October. However, I feel like I am ready to go now. We have to wait and see about DH doctor’s appt. I am hoping upon hope that he gets a good report and hoping that he won’t need any further tests or treatments. It would be much better for us if he needs any treatment, for it to happen in the spring when we are here in the area.

Carole: what did I miss about “thread catcher”. When you are gone away for a day or two, it is hard to keep up with all the comments and happenings.

Jules: The house for the kids looks great! They will be so happy to get settled, I am sure.
Glad you are feeling a little better these days.

Suzette: I am keeping you in my prayers for your treatments.

Fill me in on the blocks for Judi, please. I think I got out of the loop here when I was gone for a few days.

Thanks,

I made a pot of chili yesterday, but cooled it and refrigerated it for us to eat over the weekend. Chili always tastes better the second day anyway. I thought if I made it and let the flavors blend overnight that it would just be that much better.

Weather is going to be perfect this weekend. Highs in the mid 70’s. I love this time of year.
Ok, everyone, have a great day. I think I have jabbered long enough. Time to get another cup of coffee and some breakfast. I will stop back later.

Hugs and prayers for all.
Velda

PS: Edit to add: Judi, I know what you mean with loosing your whole message. Someone told me about keeping an open "notepad" or "works" page to type your message as you read along. Then when finishes, you can copy and paste it into the comments place and post. That has helped me sooooooo much!!!
HUGS, 💕 Vel
