Morning all, couldn't access the site at all yesterday and was worried I had bugs back in my pc, but then saw the QIAD status on facebook so knew the problem was at their end - phew :)

Suze - so sorry to hear of your diagnosis and the way you were treated, people like that should not be allowed to deal with public....glad you complained, prayers being sent xx

Lois - enjoy your day off, hope the gym and your errands don't use up too much of your day :)

Today is Charleys first day with the pupils.....like a good mum, I got up and made her some lunch to take with her, I did pop back into my bed with my breakfasst after she left and allowed myself to breath a big sigh of relief.....all the stress and worry shes been feeling should now be over....I am sure she was nervous but she left with a smile on her face :) I think her house sale will be completed next friday too, so she should be able to pick the keys up next friday and we can start decorating :)

well i'm off to get my nails done and then I'm coming home to sew....wishing you all well, love and prayers xxx

Good morning Lois and all who come in later. I never made it here yesterday. Every time I got logged in I got interrupted, so finally gave up. I am here having coffee and will be going to work soon.

Lois-Have a good day at the gym, and hope all the errands go smoothly.

Suz-So sorry about the diagnosis. It is treatable, right?

Chriss-How was Mar's first day back to school?

Tina-It was good chatting with you Saturday.

I am out of time this morning. May God bless each of you as you go through your day.

Good Morning All,

I am up and about early today.
My husband and I are taking a ride to
Ocean City for a walk on the boardwalk
and lunch. It is always nice down there
once the kids have gone back to school.

I am still working on the bag for my daughter.
and soon my quilt will be back and I will bind it.

I am already looking at what I might dive into next.

Have a wonderful day all
Good thoughts and prayers to everyone.

Dolores

First of all, thanks so much for all the kind words. Like I have said before most of us may never meet in person but we really are there for each other. Today I have to get an appointment with a breast surgeon and then get my mammograms and stuff from the radiologist. I read on the Internet about lumpectomys and it sounds like they are mostly done on an out patient basis. But of course that is up to the dr. Everything is like a blur. I am jumping around here. Hopefully today I will be able to get out to my studio and get the last border on the pinwheel quilt. I hope to get this one finished before everything gets going for me. Have a great day. Thanks for all the wonderful thoughts and prayers.

I made two of the Sylvia Blocks yesterday. My plan is to finish the third one today and start the setting blocks for the Forest quilt. I may get a diaper insert or two done too. It's Wednesday but no one is coming today :-( I will miss them, but because they were here Friday and Monday they are staying home. Tia has a bunch of tomato canning to do and Shannon has an inspection on their house today. I would have gone down to help Tia but Emily needs the van to go to her house cleaning job. It won't hurt me to stay at home anyway.

I'll stop back later.

Have a great day,
Vicky

Good Morning, Hope everyone recieves the benrfits of prayers sent through this group.

Today we will take the ferry over to Mackinac Islnd for the dsy, It is my fav place to go. Many years ago Christopher Reeves and Jane Seymour filmed a movie called "Somewhere in Time" on the Island, It was and still is my favorite movie, I have watched it maybe 14 or 15 times. We used to call it the "Two Bottle one box of kleenix movie" Guys would run for the hills when we put that movie on. So going to the Grand Hotel just for a visit brings the movie back to life...again. There are many shops and pretty things to see. I will take my camera. We are having dinner at a historic restuarant on the other side of the island,,,you must take a horse drawn taxi to get there,,,as No cars are allowed on the island only horse drawn vwhicles....the old vistorian homes are awesome. If you get up here it is worth the trip. Check it out on line if you wish..

Well I am making omelets for breakfast so I need to get my veggies prepped. Also making scrammbled eggs for the non omelet people. It is such fun to cook for the group....as I love to cook. the other gals are making toast and bacon to accompany.

one week from today I will have my surgery,,,,prayers are requested along with others here,,,,we need your prayers alot. Love and hugs XXXOOO

Jules - I just saw on the news about the building in London that is causing cars to melt. What is it made of? I am so glad things are going well for Charley.

Morning Pals from the cabin in the woods. This is the second day in a row I've watched the sun come up over the ridge. Unusual for me. Couldn't get on here yesterday. I was going to start painting the kitchen today, but I don't have any roller pads. It will have to wait til Friday. Oh Darn! It's much cooler today so I will take that opportunity to quilt in the workshop.
Suz thinking and praying for you.

Jules--Charlie's first day with kids! How I remember those days. She will be tired this afternoon, but a good tired.

Enjoy your walks today. I'm too old to tackle this gravel road so I will have to use the dreadmill today.

Hugs and prayers for all.

Good Morning!

LOIS - I think QIAD had a problem yesterday. My DH (a computer systems analyst, so he has a lot of specializedd gear) ran a few tests when I couldn't get on. QIAD was down for some reason.

SUZ - I'm so sorry to hear of your dx. Offering prayers for a swift, simple, and COMPLETE recovery, my friend. As the new old saying goes, "You got this." And we've got your back.

JULES - congratulations to Charley! She's on my prayer list, too, as she begins her new career. She'll do fabulously, I know!

CHRISS - the same for your kids! The teacher and the student!

MARY ROSEBUD - What's the DWR Report?

DELORES - Enjoy your ride, today. It's always exciting deciding what's next on the sewing table!

VICKY - it's time to have a "Vicky Day". Relax and enjoy whatever you decide to do!

JUDI - I've seen that movie and remember, now that you've said it, that it was filmed on the island. Glad you are enjoying your vacation so much! And you bet we're praying for you. And you know how powerful QIAD prayers are! And I'll take an omelet, please . . .

JULES/SUZ - we saw that, too, about the building. It cooked fruit in the fruit stand across the street, and charred grass, melted a plastic fender on a Jaguar (I think). I believe they've sheathed the building in something now.

SHARON - I LOVE the sunrise hours. But, then I'm often in bed before sunset! lol!

I'm skipping my walk today. I have a pulled muscle and I'm hoping my massage therapist will be able to help with that. He did wonders for me the last time this happened.

Please pray for my Autumn. She finds out tomorrow if she is pregnant. The doc says only 15~20% chance so it's an uphill battle. But the girl has won many battles in her life already. She deserves this more than anyone I know.

Well, we were offered ANOTHER sheltie puppy yesterday! First we couldn't find any and now there are two! But we're sticking with the first little guy. Even though we have to wait a few more weeks. But it's always good to have a back-up!

Have a great day!
