TGIF quilty friends.

I took a vacation day today so I will have a nice long weekend. Krystal and I are planning on going to Fabric Depot on Saturday. I haven't been there in quite a while. I am looking forward to a road trip.

It rained yesterday....it was wonderful! Been quite a while since we have seen rain in the Great PNW. Probably will be crappy weather all weekend, but that's OK.

I have been buying up some '30s reproduction fabrics...plan on making something with my new hexie stamp. Just not sure what pattern I want to do. Was going to do GFG but I am liking the diamond patterns, too. DH does not like the GFG...he said "it's just circles!". Men, what do they know! LOL

DGS starts school on Tuesday. I can't believe my little guy will be in second grade. I think I have misplaced a year somewhere. He got so big so fast.

Sharon, prayers being said for Cooper. Circumcisions are really frowned upon nowadays when babies are born...I don't know why. My DGS was not circ'd when he was born, either, however being a preemie had something to do with that. When my last son was born, over 25 yrs ago, I had to practically beg them to do it. I had to listen to a lecture about what a "barbaric" procedure it was and that it really wasn't "necessary". I just smiled and listened and then signed the consent form...I knew of too many people who had to have it performed later in life because of problems.

Sharona, congrats! I am so excited for you. I know you will be a wreck until it is all over, but it will be wonderful in your new home!

Izzy, hope you and Sharon have a wonderful time. Don't forget to post pics.

Vicky, I hope you find some time to de-stress and I hope your tooth pain resolves quickly.

Maryz, prayers continue for Aut.

Cindyg, hope you have a blast at the lake.

Chriss, enjoy your "girls" day with Marilyn. Sounds like a wonderful way to spend a Friday. Happy Vacay, too!

Jules, so good to "see" you again. Too bad about that nasty woman...prayers that it will blow over quickly and that Charley has a wonderful first year of teaching.

Karlene...where are you? Hope all is well.

Kathy, prayers continue for a quick recovery for Kim.

Chickie, so sorry about the fires. Glad it wasn't worse.

Tina, hope you find the perfect mattress for your back. It can make a world of difference!

Judi, your camping menu sounds delish. Hope you have a fabulous camping trip.

Suzette, hope your biopsy pain subsides quickly. Prayers for a good outcome.

Jana, I know it's not funny, but you painted quite a comical picture of you and DH with the dirt and shoveling.... LOL Sounds about like me and my DH.

Dolores, glad you found homes for your magazines. That was so thoughtful of you to pass them on to others.

Maryq, sorry you will be 'on call' Monday. Hope you get to enjoy some of your three day weekend, anyway.

Hi Lori--whatcha working on these days?

Mary/Rose, can't wait to see your DWR. I want to make one of those, too.

Lois, how was the pinning ceremony?

Velda, I can't believe Labor Day is upon us, already, either! I feel like time has been speeded (sped??? LOL) up somehow.

Well, guess I better close this novel for now. I miss you all....seems like I never get to chat. Our internet at work has been moving at a snail's pace for the past two months. I couldn't even get the QIAD site to load up yesterday. By the time I get home, most of you have already retired for the evening. Anyway, just wanted to let you know that I think of you all everyday and keep you all in my prayers.

Hugs,
Mel

I'm up way too early this morning. I couldn't sleep, to hot, and having hot flashes all night, grrrr.

Not too sure about doing any sewing today. DH has the day off and wants to go berry picking. I'd rather stay home but he hasn't gone in a few years.

I hope you all have a great Labor Day weekend.

Vicky

Good morning everyone.
I start my 4 day weekend today. I am going to do some picking up and then head out to my studio. I didn't get a lot of sleep last night. Our older dog has started coming to our bedroom door and whining until someone gets up and comes into the living room with him.. He starts out kinda quietly but the longer he whines the louder he gets. I just don't know what to do. I am going to drink my coffee and see how everything goes. Have a wonderful day.

and....and....and, Good morning all. This morning stretches had to be done before I could make it out of bed. We must be expecting another storm.

Mel, a F.A.R.T. (fabric acquisition road trip) to Fabric Depot sounds like a fun day, and the thing to do on you day off. Enjoy.

Vicky, hope the tooth pain has subsided. Enjoy the berry picking.

Lois, congratulations to your DD. What a fantastic accomplishment for her.

Chickie, the fire must have been a double scare for you with all you have gone through with fire the last few years. Praise God it was just the hog barn.

Judi, your vacation sounds like it will be a blast. Prayers for the upcoming tests and procedures you are facing.

Chriss, hope you and Marilyn have a fabulous girls day today. Enjoy your vacation week.

I better get moving. It is work for me. Blessings to one and all.

Good Morning early birds. I am headed to the lab then get the camper ready to go. Need clothes and fill the fridge.

Halloween quilt is coming along I sewed the binding on and just need to flip it and sew it.

I have a senior moment, I have searched this whole house and I have lost a box of clover clips...the red ones that I love so much. I do not know where I might have put them. I searched Annebelle room. my sewing room and even the kids room where things sometome migrate. I am so bummed. I can only think that Miss Baby Kitty may have knocked the box into the waste can and I threw them away. I loved them things. So now I must wait to get them 1/2 off again, double GRRRRRRR
Well off to the lab,,,,Hope you all have a great day,,,XXXOOO

Good Morning to all of my friends. Wow, it's Friday and some of you are heading out in your campers for the weekend. Boy, I wish you were all coming here to my campground, that would be a HOOT!! we could have the greatest meet and greet.

I just had a phone call from my friend, "WeeOne" (Lyn) yesterday. She is busy fishing in Canada for the summer. We are beginning to plan our sewing group for when we go to Texas for the winter. She has gathered some neat ideas and so did I. So great to talk. She mentioned the Houston Quilt Show and sorry to say, again, I will not arrive in Texas early enough to attend. Oh, darn!!! I was so looking forward to meeting a bunch of you there. One of these days, I hope that I will do that.

I had to go back and read up on the follow ups from yesterday afternoon. Wow, we are a busy group. So much happening.

Jules: Sure wish "Ms busy body" would mind her own business!! Hope all goes well as the school days begin.

Sharon: hope all goes well with Cooper.

Good luck with all the rest of you with various issues. Teeth grinding, ouch!!! Stresses of jobs!!! ugh. Fire messes to clean up!!
So many to mention all = some are redecorating, some are moving, wow, wow, wow, so much happening. Good Luck to all of you, hope it all goes well. Just make some time to relax and fondle your fabrics. It calms the nerves and makes you happy. :)

Time to pour another cup of coffee. Have a fun day!!

Afternoon girls :)

Mel – I think of you too, and miss ‘seeing’ you around more often.....my nieces have grown up too quickly too, the 7 year old has moved up to juniors and looks soooo grown up in her uniform and my sweetie little 4 year starts school full time from next week.....I’m going to miss her, will have to see her at weekends and holidays now :(

Vicky – sorry your dentist couldn’t alleviate your pain yesterday, I wonder what it could be if it’s not the tooth......sorry you had a bad night, hope you have a good day today whether you stay home or go berry picking :)

Lois – glad the pinning was nice and congrats to your DD, have a good weekend :)

Suze – have a good 4 day weekend.....shame about your dog, not sure what it could be, can he not just come in the bedroom and sleep next to your bed so you don’;t have to move??

Mary/Rose – snap – i was full of aches and pains this morning and had trouble getting out of bed, don’t think it’s the weather though, we have another sunny day :)

Grammie – hope the lab tests go well and you have a lovely trip, sshame about the clips, i’ve done that with fabric.....i just know i had two pieces of daisy fabric, yellow and green and i was going to give them to Charleys friend as shes started sewing, but do you think I can find them, I have gone through everything, so the only thing i can think of is i’ve mistakenly thrown them out – OOOOOPS!!!!!

Well I’ve been to Costco with DH this morning, thought the walk would stretch out my aches and pains, boy was I wrong......my knees ended up so painful that i had to go and sit down half way round and leave DH to it – always dangerous not supervising him in there LOL anyway I’m back in my studio and enjoying the peace, DH is in his office, Charley is at school and I’m happy on my own :)

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend, love and prayers for you all, might get back later xxxx
