Monday, August 26th

Post by suzette58 » Sun Aug 25, 2013 9:48 pm

Good morning everyone.
I cannot believe that it is the last week of August. Plus it is cool outside. Yesterday I spent most of the day in my studio working n the pinwheel quilt. It was wonderful to have all that time to myself. I have my biopsy on Wednesday. My husband was concerned that I would need something for it. He is really worried. I looked up the type of biopsy they are doing and he settled down a little bit. After work today I hope to get out to my studio. We will see. Have a wonderful day

Good Morning Suzette and all who follow,

Today is work and after work I don't think I will do anything unless I get my second wind yesterday I got so busy with DD and the GKids that at 8:30 I remembered to dye my hair and I had so much Grey roots that I just couldn't go to work looking like that today.

Suzette I will keep you in my prayers that all goes well with your Biopsy.

Everyone Have A Great Day.
Prayers Go Out To All In Need.

Good morning girls. It is back to work for me, too. It was refreshing having the extra day and a half off. I made some real headway on the DWR quilt while I was off.

Suz continued prayers that your biopsy goes well. Have a good day at work, and hope you can make it out to your studio afterward. What will you be working on?

Lois, hope your work day goes by smoothly.

Blessings to all. Must go and finish getting ready for work.

Good morning...

ShirleyMae.. I am so glad to know the real reason behind the closure of roads during construction... we can all blame your great uncle...lol.. hope you're feeling better.

Jana, happy sunday school teaching... my fav sunday school teacher used felt boards to tell stories and it was in the basement of a church.. I love Mrs. Land...

Joan, I love secret Santa too... I have been looking through my magazines and have seen so many table type things that would work... but I have a sorta plan...

Sharona, we went school shopping yesterday too.. we now have gel pens and markers.. phew, glad we got that done... ugh.. Mar kept showing me the things that "all the kids have"

Suzette, glad you got to sew... your biopsy will be a breeze.

Lois, I go to work with tons of grey..I wouldn't mind coloring my hair but don't want to do it often.. if there were a color that would last a year I'd go for it...lol

MaryRose.. glad you were able to sew in your day off... I have friday and all next week for vacation time.. I have so much planned, it will be great....

Chrissy, I am so glad Mo is doing well in the Marines.. hugs to him.

Judi, hope your appointments all line up...

for me it's work.. it's always work.. but that's what keeps the roof over my head and food on my table.

you all have a super day,

chriss

Good Morning,

SUZ - I'm happy that you got to have a sew-day! and I'll be thinking of you and saying a prayer come Wed.

LOIS - so happy you found some time for your hair! lol! And I'm with you about second wind. When I was working I had no energy left for much of anything else. I didn't get into quilting in a big way until after I retired. I don't know how you working people do it all.

MARY R - glad you were able to put your extra days off to such good use!

CHRISSY - what day is your tourney? What a great way to honor your son's memory.

JUDI - sorry about your H/A. Maybe exercise will chase it away - or distract you. Did you put a new wood floor in your fifth-wheel? And if so, did the height of the wood disrupt the slide coming in/going out? We're thinking of new flooring but Bill is worried about the height of the wood, so is leaning towards wood-look vinyl. Just wondering what you did.

CHRISS - I was looking through my stuff yesterday for S.S. ideas. And a few are germinating in my head. I cant' wait to get started!

I'm almost finished with the yard work. About 70% there. The back isn't so much, so I think two more days should do it! Yay! I've lost count of the big wheelbarrows of debris we've hauled off to the slash pile in the woods. Or the loads DH hauled in the tractor. It's like we're having to clear our property all over again. But I knocked off early yesterday and got to sew for a few hours. My first time at my machine in 2 full weeks!! aaahhhhhh .... . . . . ...

Today - a repeat of yesterday.

Hope you all are in high cotton today!

Suz - you and your DH try not to worry. You have all of us praying. I realize it's probably hard to keep your mind off it.

Lois - all my hairs are gray and I come to work that way every day - LOL. Do I care? No.

MaryRosebud - an extra day and a half would be wonderful. I'll get mine at the end of the week.

Chrissy1 - I'm so glad you got a text from Mo. Prayers for Torrie and Heather. I hope the tournament goes well.

Grammie - so sorry you woke with a headache. I've had one since last Wednesday. Mine is allergies I guess since my nose started pouring hot water and my eyes feel like someone is pulling them out the back of my head. Oh, joy! My heart doctor wants me to walk at the very least. I hate that dreadmill!!!!!

I felt lousy all weekend. Once I got home on Friday I never left the house all weekend. Here I am at work wishing I was at home laying on the love seat (blow/sneeze/blow/sneeze). I sewed a little bit. Made a big goof on the Sunflower Dresden Plate quilt so I have to unsew a whole row and get it lined up better. Right now I must get busy - have to be caught up by Thursday because we are going to the lake after work Thursday evening and won't come home until Tuesday afternoon.

I hope we can all fondle fabric today.

Chriss - I'm with you on the hair coloring. Plus I don't care what kind of dye I use it washes off the hair at my temples within two weeks so the gray is back.

Maryz - Don worried about the flooring/slide issue when we did ours. We got a sample and laid it on the floor of the trailer and ran the room in and out. It was just fine. So you might want to do that test before you dismiss the wood floor option.

Good morning!

Don't know how long I will have my computer this morning - the power company is turning off the power to the neighborhood as they are connecting up the lines for the new houses that are being built about 3 blocks from me.

The dirt is coming this morning too - so we ran out early to open the garage door - need power for that and almost forgot about it! LOL The boards that we are laying on the ground to protect the grass and sprinklers are in there - whew done in time!

No sewing for me till late this afternoon - I am heading down to watch the little ones. I have about 1/3 of the blocks to the Red Sky Wall hanging done -

Nothing much going on here - just the usual - moving - packing - and chasing little boy! LOL Sarah is starting the move to the new house - she has a plan to pack up one room a night and be ready to move by Labor Day - she will have help then from her brothers. Who by the way do keep track of how many times they have moved that Baby Grand Piano! We are over 10.

No rain yesterday - hopefully none until after all the dirt is in the backyard today. Very cloudy out there now and we will only get to 80 - perfect day!

I am one of those who fights the gray -kicking and screaming! I don't have much - so I do highlights - that way, what ever is there is blurred - LOL! One of these days I will have to give in to the gray - but not yet!

Well if I want this ramble to get posted - I better do it - I am on borrowed time -

Have a grand day!
Hugs
Jana
