Morning pals
Have you ever had a nightmare stay with you that leaves you afraid to go to bed. I had a horendous one last night and I just don't want to close my eyes. It is 2:35 and I have cut out 2/3rds of my Christmas Fabrics into pieces and made 3/4 of one block. I still need to cut out the pieces for the top so all is on a roll and coming along very nicely.

Thank you Debbie for letting me know where the pattern is for the Maple Leaf Block. I still have a feeling that she has a tutorial out there somewhere. Has anyone seen it?

Sharona - That is a beautiful house. May you have many blessings and wonderful treasured memories living in it. When do you move???

I believe it was Chriss that asked ... My DS#2 lives in Cedar Rapids Iowa. I received some great pictures of him, DD and there brother and sis from my ExH 2nd marriage. It was great to see at least pictures of him and to hear he is doing well. Beggars can't be choosy.

Sunday we will be going to the AV Quilt Show and then shopping. Looking forward to the Show not the shopping. So tedious but it has to be done - LOL!!!! Today will be more sewing so I get the Christmas Blocks finished in time. I must set a good example for all. Can't have the hostess lagging behind :) :)

I hope your weekend is filled with FUN and Cotton :) :) HUGS and PRAYERS always.

Early morning for me today. I'll be out the door soon and off to a wrap up meeting for this year's wilt show. Looks like I'll use up most of the day for this today.
Teresa, I haven't had a bad dream that intense for a long time ( thank goodness ), but understand what you are feeling. Sorry you had to go through that! Hope tonight will be better.
Time to get moving toward going out the door. Hope you all have a nice Saturday.
Joan

Good morning,,,It is sunny and beautiful and for that I am thank ful. I will clean the camper today and get all the towels and sheets and things back in it. Right now they are sitting in the hallway. on a big pile. this week will be busy before we go as i need to get labs and xrays before we go on vacation. Dr said I am in bad shape bone wise....I am very sad about this. he hasn't decided which meds will try. Nothing till the labs and xrays are done. Then I will have the hystie on the 11 a few days after we come back.....
On a brighter note we are having family dinner with all the kids on Sunday, So I need to make my famous potato salad and cole slaw. they will do burgers and hot dogs and fruit salad. If it is warm enough the kids can go swimming in the pool at my oldest sons house.

Will definately get in some sewing today...after the uglies are done...I might even fire up Annebelle and quilt some of the tops down there,,,,I need to load the dresden plate on the machine and make binding. So that is my plan.....I ask for your prayers ina big way,,,,I pray for all of you everyday,,,God listens to us,,,His answers may not be ours but He does listen, XXXOOO

My son lived in CR Iowa for a year. He came home after graduating high school and stated had a job and was moving to IOWA. I was at computer and was in shock--had no clue where Iowa was and looked it up on computer then googled drive it was 9 1/2 hours. OH MY my baby was leaving. He stayed 1 yr got home sick and now lives only 15 min from momma:))) much better. What flat country that is and lots of corn LOL not to mention the year he was there it snowed like 15 in one night YUK. But plus was very nice quilt shop down town only min from where he lived:)

We plan to stop in Kansas to sleedp then up again to go some more. Hopefully I can meet Chickie then:)) We are coming through her area. I want to drive over border to NM also just to say I was there too. New places and such excitement.

Sharona your house is beautiful. Love the setting with no other houses near Pines are beautiful and smell so fresh. Love the Kitchen my fav room and there was one downstairs too WOW. I would hate to clean it though:) Just me DH and DD too much house for me to keep up with but very beautiful with all the stone work:)

Vicky look out was beautiful its not what I think of when I say NY:) We drove through NY to get to Buffalo for a football game and then go to Niagra falls. DH loves buffalo I myself am a Philly fan:)

Got home yesterday and DD was in van waiting for me from center was running late. WE came in got in our swim suits and went into pool for almost 2 hours. a nice mommy dd time:) She loves the water and has no fear. She cant swim but she uses two of the small rings like arm floaties and goes all over that pool. Plan to go again today. We are in heat wave up 89 plus all this week again. Finally get to use pool.

Good Morning Everyone,

We had a wicked storm at 5 this morning it
lasted about an hour crazy thunder lightning
and Rain. we got hubby a new weather station
for his birthday and as it was raining it said
it was raining cats and dogs.

Well I have fallen into the rut of laundry
on the weekend like I used to when I worked.

I don't like using my weekend for work.

We had a busy week out and about.
Patrick is now at college and the grands go
back to school in another week.

I just feel like there are not enough play
hours for me.

We already have next week scheduled one more
Dr visit for both of us and then out and about
I love going out on the boat for 4 or 5 hours
and then coming in and cooking on the grill.

I am in the process of going thru my magazines.
I wish I knew of someone locally that would like
to have them. I just hate to throw them away.

I might contact a quilt guild.

My hubby might go to a car show this afternoon and
I can sew unless he wants me to go. I know he said
some of his little buddys might meet him there.

I still have more tomatoes to do for winter.
Its nice to do a couple bags at a time and freeze them.

Well everyone have a wonderful day.

Good Morning - again,

I just typed out my post and suddenly my screen went blurry and everything was gone! Hate when that happens!

TERESA - sorry about the nightmare. Yes, I've had a few like that. On the plus side, you got your Christmas blocks all cut out!

JUDI - packing the RV is always so much more fun that unpacking/cleaning, don't you think? So sorry to hear about the osteoporosis. Will you start the Ca+ shots now or did the doc find another form that might work for you? Love your wall-hanging!

IZZY - you're planning to visit all of my favorite places! Pagosa Springs, NM, Chickie's . . . .

DELORES - Actually, I kind of like to do the laundry while I'm sewing. I just keep setting my oven timer so I don't forget to go do it! The W/D are on another floor from the sewing, so I get a break, stretch muscles, and fold fast so I can get back upstairs to my Bernie. Before I know it, the wash is done but I feel like I've just spent the day sewing! It's like taking a spoonful of sugar to help the mediciine go down! Never toss your magazines! Add them to your SS or SP boxes, offer them to someone on this forum, share them with your guild, drop them off at your LQS to share, or even donate them to a thrift shop. There is always someone who wants them!

DEB & JOAN - have a super day!

For me, life is on hold while I try to whip this yard into shape. I've been ignoring it all summer while I sewed. Now I'm paying the price for that. So back at it today!

Hope your weekend is a good one!

Good morning!

Teresa - that's just awful about the nightmare. I've had some doozies as well, but not for a long, long time. I hope you're able to get some good sleep tonight. I had to go rebuy my Christmas block fabric, as I forgot how to cut when trying the first time. Now I have everything cut out and will sew every day to get them done by next Friday. If everything goes to plan, we move October 5th.

Debbie - have a blessed day today.

Joan - hope your meeting doesn't last too long.

Judi - that's so nice of you to do the scarecrow for your sister - it's cute! Good luck with all the doctor stuff that needs to get done. Sounds like you're going to be really busy.

Izzy - that's too bad about the new documentation system. I remember my last year at work, they decided to 'streamline' the change process, but what really happened is we spent twice as much time doing the paperwork, and then we had to attend meetings three times a week! How are you getting to Pagosa Springs? Maybe you'll be driving thru somewhere close to us! Did I mention the downstairs kitchen is designated as the canning kitchen? It's going to be so nice to have all that stuff in one place, instead of having to drag it from hello to howdy. I love how you spend so much time with your DD - how nice that y'all can swim together.

Dolores - I so agree with you about there not being enough play hours in the day. Have a great time on the boat!

Maryz - sorry about the computer being mean to you. Good luck with the yard work.

Miriam - sounds like you're really busy. Enjoy your company!

Thanks for all the nice compliments about the house. I feel very blessed. Today we are meeting my DH's bro and his wife to show them the property. My DH had a firm rule that we had to be far enough away from them to keep them from just dropping by. The new house is 50 minutes from our current home. DS1 said his wife was interested in buying it, but his credit stinks so unless her rich dad (who lives in Russia) will fork over the money, it won't happen. Besides which, DS1 has an hour's commute (one way) to get to his job. He's hoping to move closer to it. Our dog got her hairs cut yesterday. She had something in her ears, so the groomer had to cut them really short. I laughed SOO hard that DH got mad. hahaha - he doesn't like anyone to make fun of her. I guess I'd better get ready to go - have a great day! xoxo Sharona
