Good Morning Everyone,

Wow I can't believe it's the middle of the month already where did the summer go.

Thank you everyone for all your prayers but she didn't take the job it wasn't going to be her cup of tea so she will continue to search.

Today I am off and will go to the gym and the food store and I want to also go to Kohls I have 30% off .

Also I wanted to tell Everyone that I got my October issue of American patchwork quilting and I ran across an add for stitchin heaven and they have EL's Quilt for Blocks of the month for 2014 and it's under another name and I felt that it was a little strange .

Everyone Have A Great Day.
Prayers Go Out To All In Need.
Lois.

Good morning Lois and those that follow.
It is 63 degrees here this morning. It is beautiful!! After we get my car out of the shop this morning I am going to Quilt Club. I will take and post pictures later. Once again yesterday I did not make it out to my studio. That's ok tho. I need to stop beating myself up over not getting out there. My cousin's daughter came through her surgery great. After quilt club I will be working on the pinwheel quilt. Have a great day. Off to finish my coffee.

I never stopped by yesterday. I was in the sewing room :-)
Well Emily and I went to Joann's in the morning and I bought some knit fabric. Then I came home and made a skirt for Tia (I really hope it fits!) If it does then I will make her another one to get her through to the end.

Then yesterday afternoon 2 packages came from UPS, the diaper fabric I have been waiting for! I threw it in the washer and then started figuring out how to make diaper inserts. I made one with double layer of the bamboo flannel. IT is soooooo soft! But it was a little heavy so I made one with a double layer of organic birds eye cotton with the bamboo in the middle (I like this one better) The test will come today when little Jovanna is here and we try them. Of course she is almost potty trained so we will have to see. Tia still misses some so Jovanna still wears diapers.

The other package has Emily's birthday present in it...a blue sapphire with two little diamonds on the side :-) She will love it, I seen it on her pinterest so I know she will. She will be 20 this year so a big (little) gift was in order.

Both Shannon and Tia are coming today :-) It will be a fun day!

Good Morning from cool 51 here Michigan, We will head to the gym this mornig for a swim and then packing the camper. It is just as much work to pack it for one night as for a vacation. I am excited to go the AQS show in grand rapids,

Canned salsa and tomatoes all day yesterday, I still have tomatoes to dry, all of the pulp and skins make great flavor for tomato powder, and we usually all throw this art away. Veggie powders are great flavorings for dips and soups. Made a lot last year,

well kitty is meowing, she wants her breakfast....i want coffee.
We still have not set the trap for the kitties outside...too busy to stay home and take care of them, but we will have to do this this weekend beforwe they really start wandering, We have not found any rescue to take them, so they will go to the the shelter,,,,it is more humane than the pound.. but they will still euthanize the wildest ones. gotta run XXXOOO

Good morning ladies. Thank you for the condolences on the loss of my mom. My sisters and I are still getting used to the idea that we'll not be hearing her voice anymore. Sad stuff.

I have lost my mojo, but I think I may be getting it back. I want to make a tote and I missed a friends birthday in July. So I'll probably be making a tote this weekend in Red & White. Also, 4 weeks till the first grandbaby gets here and I need to recover the car seat. I gave it to my mom to do, she loved that stuff. But alas, she didn't get to it. So it falls to me and I'll be trying to figure it out too!

Sending prayers & hugs

It’s a beautiful morning here! I was out filling the humming bird feeders and now am cooking more nectar for them. I’ll be refilling later and cooking again. Yesterday I went to the quilt shop, and it was so much fun!!! They have a wonderful section of Kansas Troubles Quilters fabrics, lots of brights and children’s/baby fabrics, batiks, patterns, books, notions, threads… just so much fun!!! They have been in business just two years in a tiny town in the middle of nowhere. I did my best to make their day! I changed my mind about the class, as I wasn’t that crazy about the snowman twister pattern they were using. So, I purchased a twister pumpkin pattern and purchased K-T FQs. I have the sashings on the pinwheel blocks, and now I must figure out a layout using all 38 blocks from the Ellie Ann line. I’m sure I’ll have to go help DH at the rentals, cleaning and mowing the yards.

Velda, here is my fish story for you…

We went fishing yesterday evening after dinner. Actually, we started out to check where the boat ended up (or down) in the other pond. It was pretty much submerged but near the shore. I had on my big boots, so I waded out and tied on a rope. We dragged it with the ATV until the handle came off the boat. It was full of water and too heavy to turn over and dump. The DGKs forgot to turn it over when they left it. Then because we had our fishing rods and reels, we decided to bank fish. DH caught a nice bass, and I was on the other side and got my line over a tree limb. As I was trying to pull it out, a really nice bass literally jumped out of the water and grabbed my lure. So, I had a fish over a limb and was unable to get him brought in. It was too deep to wade out, and I called DH. What a crazy predicament!!! I had let the fish back down into the water, and had to bring him up to show DH that indeed it was still on my line. At that time, my line broke in my reel and went spiraling over to the tree limb… DH was sure I had lost my fish, but I was not so sure. The “fish” side of the limb was still taut. It was closer to the bank on that side, so hiking around the end of the pond we went and into the deep brush. DH had his pruners in the ATV, so we hacked some branches and managed to slip and slide and grasp the tree branch. DH broke/cut it off, and we pulled it in… expecting to see after all that work that the fish had escaped in the water weeds. DH was shocked that the fish was still there. I must admit it didn’t look near as large up close as it did on the tree limb, but still, it was a nice fish. It is ending up on my dinner plate after all that work!

Suzette—have fun at quilt club!

Vicky—what a special gift for Emily! I remember giving my DD a little ruby ring so long ago… Have fun with your girls!!!

Chriss—I changed my mind about the class and spent the money (plus some more) on fabrics!

Judi—how neat to use every last crumb of the veggies!!! I’m sure that vegetable flavoring cubes are the same thing just compressed, and I’m sure yours are much more flavorful!!!

Traci—Only four more weeks!!! So exciting!!! Do you know if it’s a girl or boy? I know that you miss your mom so much at this time. HUGS to you!!!

Lois—I’ll have to check out the ad in one of my magazines. That is odd. Yikes! August is half over… Christmas is coming and I haven’t started my sewing… Woe is me!!!

Have a great day, All!!! Let the thread times roll!!!

Lois hopefully she'll find something that suits her.

Suzette have fun at quilt club. Can't wait to see pictures.

Traci hope you can get back into the swing of things soon. It's hard to move forward after such a great loss.

Chickie the twister pumpkin looks really cute. I bet that fish was delicious.

I went to guild last night and it ran a little late. I didn't get home unit 9:40pm and had to be up at 03:45 am for work. UGH! I'm a little tired today, but guild is always fun.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning!

Little one and I are down here in the Cave of Wonders! LOL He is playing with his toys and I with mine!

Not much going on today - quiet - I hope. DH on has a few hours of work for today and he will be done with another part of the project he is working on. Then it is play time for the rest of the week.

I have been working on my Christmas wall hanging - I have almost all ten stars done - they is the most time consuming - the rest is just easy sewing together to the panel. Sarah will be later this afternoon to work on hers. Knowing how busy she gets, I will probably finish that one too.

My girls yesterday did very well in learning to make roses and a shell border. They took home 2 frosted cupcakes with the best flowers that they made.

Ethan has learned to fold his arms now for prayers. He bows his head a little too - still need to work on the eyes closed part! LOL

Chickie - Now that is a fish story! Love it!

Chriss - hope that the shoe shopping goes easily - Sarah loved shoes and had many pairs in the closet - we nicknamed her Imelda!(after the former President of the Philipines)LOL

Well need to scoot off -
Hugs
Jana

LOL at Chickie and her fish story. I would have ate him too after all that work.

At work on lunch. Shew so busy called my asst this morning to come help me after lunch just cant seem to get things done. Working with a teacup saucer filled with a platter helping of work. LOL

Got home yesterday and cleaned out spare room DH and I are going to be family home provider for a young lady again with mental disabilities. We already live this life with our daughters handicapps so its first nature. She is coming thursday for visit to see if she likes us :) Pray all goes well; she is same age as our daughter but more independent.

I moved 4 tubs of fabric out and put in closet of sewing room. Pulling out my littler tubs which now sit in middle of floor of sewing room. I plan to store those under my cutting table. I figure closer to me when I start Sylvia Bridal blocks next month:)) Lots of scraps in there. I found a whole box of big yardage fabrics I forgot I had:)) Plan to make DD and me some skirts with that:)

No sewing tonight or cleaning sewing room. church with business meeting and Im clerk so got to take minutes.

DH has decided to start back to college at 47 in spring; keep him inprayers going to work on finishing Bachelors in Theology and biblical studies. He wants to be pastor of church and most want the degree. He currently is our churches asst pastor and loves his service to the LORD:)

Prayers out to those with loss and illnesses. So hard I know we lost my mother in law 2 yrs ago next month and my DFIL has decided this month to sell everything he has because its so hard to live in house with all those memories. He gave a lot of the furniture to my DS and DIL which was super nice they have nothing starting out. Keep him in prayers he is going through a major depressive state right now.

Well almost time to go back to work. Lunch break goes by quick:)

God Bless and Happy thoughts!!
