Thursday 25 July - Graduation Day :)

Post by Jules » Wed Jul 24, 2013 9:20 pm

Morning girls :) well the day is here, Charley has worked for 4 long years, gone through many changes, grown up a lot and now she gets to graduate today.....she is a fully qualified teacher :) she had a t shirt printed up for fun, to mark the day....Image
[/img]
It reads 'dyslexic graduate' backwards and on the back she has the year 2013 :)

I can't tell you how proud I am of her, she's worked so incredibly hard, and faced lots of challenges along the way but she's got there in the end :) she has a job lined up, she's buying a house.....I think we've done an alright job :)

Of course the anxiety has jumped back in and I spent the whole of yesterday feeling sick at the thought of going today, but I will grit my teeth and get through the day and Charley will be none the wiser, this is her day and I want her to remember and enjoy every single second of it :)

Better think about getting ready and trying to eat some breakfast......lots of love and prayers for yu all xxxxx

Good morning Jules and everyone that follows.
Congratulations to Charley! I went to the Sacred Threads quilt show yesterday. I posted some of the pictures over in the photo thread. The quilts were absolutely beautiful. My son went with me and he actually enjoyed it. I also got most of my fabric cut for my Christmas block swap. I cannot believe it is less then 70 degrees outside! Today after work I am hoping to get the last of the fabrics cut for the block swap and maybe do some sewing. Either the locks or on my Quilts of Hinor quilt. I have to say this working thing is really getting n the way of my quilting. :)

Jules I'm so happy for Charley. You did a fabulous job. Hope you can enjoy the day.

Suzette, I saw the picture of the show. Glad you had a good time.

Lois hope you get to sew later.

We went to the OC fair last night with the kids. Had a good time. I can home and have been working on the BOM for my guild. Trying to get block done thru December. It's fun trying out different patterns and fabric.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Congratulations to Charley! And to Jules!Jules you have done an excellent job and you have a lot to be proud of.

Suzette my sons wouldn't dream of going to a quilt show with me. I can barely get my daughters to go!

Lois I hope your day at work goes smoothly.

Lori I have never tried a BOM but I joined the BOW over in sew ins doing Sylvia's Bridal Sampler. We will see if I can keep up with three blocks a week!!!

Quilt marking day today. I'm going to try and iron it a little (nylon thread) then get it all marked. I'm going very simple on the marking, straight lines mostly.

Garden is growing very well this year. We are getting squash, cucumbers, little peppers, Swiss chard, etc. What are you getting out of yours? My chickens are growing great too, they should start laying shortly :-) I love my chicky babies. My family thinks I'm very weird and maybe they're right, but chicken are fun watch.

Have a great day!

For one minute,
walk outside,
stand there in silence,
look up in the sky,
and contemplate
how amazing life is!

Good morning,,it is sunny and cool here in the 60s. I am loving this weather, windows opened ac off. Our garden is doing goo here too. I did manage to get all 12 (15 inch) blocks done and sewn together, I will put the border on and start the leaves and flowers. I don't have enough green for the vines so I will make a LQS run today if I can.

Congrats to Charley such a pretty girl. 2 granddaughters graduated this year and will be going on to college this fall. one into nursing, and the other into forestry and natural resources.

I am a mess today...I need a few prayers,,,,my knee is swelling and have pain. I am sure it is arthritis but never this before, I will ice it and see if it is better, if not the dreaded phone call to the Dr office. I don't have time for this. your good thoughts would be appreciated.

have a great day XXXOOO
