SHIRLEY MAE - thank you for the poem. It was so thoughtful of you. So may of us have lost a furry friend (or two) in the past year.

Today I'm going to finish a table-runner I've been working on and then clean the house. I've made 3 batches of raspberry jam in the last few days and now I need to find room in the pantry to store it all - 22 half-pints. I gave 8 to the kids.

Good Morning Mary and Everyone who follows,

Today is work for me but it's the short day then Im home for the rest of the weekend.

When I come home we will go to the food store and then it's home for the rest of the day .

Mary I didn't go anywhere after my mamo came home and did nothing but the fabric warehouse is having a sale tomorrow and I guess I will be their.

Good morning Mary, Lois, and all that follow, woke up at 4:30 and can't get back to sleep. Boy Mary you get so much done it is unbelievable. Wish I had your energy, use to but not anymore. Haven't been doing much sewing, but rather knitting a scarf. No mess when I am done to clean up.q

Today, we have do some food shopping and get packed to spend the night on the 4th at DD's then off to Long Island UGH on Friday for the wedding. Once we are there, it will be lots of fun. Just getting there is the problem.

Well I am off to get some more knitting done. Wishing our two gals HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

Boy! You guys have been busy already this morning.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY EL and CHRISS!!!
I believe my feet are getting webbing between my toes. I woke up to more rain this morning. I know we need it it but, it would be nice if it was spaced out a little more. Not all at one time. Today starts my weekend. I really need it. Today we need to grocery shop. I need some stuff for tomorrow and then on Saturday. Tomorrow we are having a small family cookout and Saturday we are going to hubby's niece's lake house. They have a house in the town where the epi-center of our earthquake a couple of years ago was. Hubby is starting to take the old backsplash down in our kitchen and we are putting up glass tile. I can't wait. Have a great day.

Raining again today It is hot and very muggy. 100% humidity.

Tia and Jovanna day, Shannon is coming down today too Lots of family time happening here.

I worked on some leaves yesterday... someday this quilt may get done.... maybe!

Yesterday Caleb was working on a roof and one of the guys fell 16 ft onto concrete! (he is ok) Please pray for protection for construction workers today! (Caleb personally) I'm having a real struggle letting him go to work today.

Good Morniong, No rain here today....cool and a bit humid. The garden is growing crazy, Weeds too. But not today, I am headed to DD to sit with the kids for a couple of hours. Oldest has hockey camp. Then home to get a few uglies done. Ken is off to get blood work this morning and meet him buddy for breakfast, He is helping him wire up a new garage today. Baby Kitty has the house to herself today.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ELEANOR AND CHRISS!!!!

Hope you all have a great holiday. It is still wet around here. We
have not been able to go fishing since last Thurs. We are going to try it for a short while today, then we are just going to put the boat on the trailer and clean it up and park it until the holiday is over.
There is always lots of boat traffic on the lake during the 4th. So it's a good time, not to fish, and stay off the water for us.

I hope to be able to do some sewing. At least that is my plan.

Suzette, please post a picture of your new backsplash.. I so want to see it... my DH is starting on Marilyn's bathroom.. we are painting it a color called melon.. almost cantaloupe color.

Vicky.. I love EPP too.. sort of addicting...I will have to take pictures of what I have.. mine are in three stages.. so I have three storage totes for them...lol..you make sure Jovanna gets a squeeze from me.

Judi, I thought your song was beautiful, I loved the way it sounded when I read it... happy grand sitting.. add a few smooches from me.

Velda, if it keeps raining your front yard may turn into a pond and you could stay at home and fish...

for me it's work.. Jerry is fixing steak and scampi for my dinner and I requested carrot cake..Marilyn has a special song she wrote and will sing it to a dance routine she made up ( I had a preview last night)...Jerry replaced the light bulbs in my jeep so now I have brake lights...it's good to be me...

Well y'all shamed me into taking DH out to his favorite steak restaurant last night and it was really, really good. Today DH will be putting up the new weather station I got him for his birthday, plus now we will begin packing the van. DS1 took his little family to the airport yesterday in the van - they're headed back to Russia for a two month visit. Poor Denis (DGS) cried and cried - he didn't want to leave his dad. DS1 has volunteered for lots of O/T... Have a great day, my wonderful quilty friends.
