19 firefighters killed, 200 homes burned Yarnell, AZ Prayers Please!
Hi, We just saw this on the news. It was the town of Yarnell, AZ. It popped up on my email as I was typing a msg tonight and then we just saw it on tv. Yarnell is up near Congress between Wickenburg and Prescott, AZ.
Most of the town is gone, over 200 homes burned. The owner of the rv park, where we stayed down by Wickenburg, has a house up there. His wife stays up there in the summer. Little higher elevation so cooler in summer. Hope they are ok.
Rod said the road is closed in that area. He pulled up the news on his computer tablet. The firefighters were a special unit from Prescott. They were called a “hotshot crew”. Guess they were caught in an area and couldn’t get out. Now they are saying on news it was started by lightning. 904 lightning strikes in that area since yesterday. Wind up to 45mph.
I know some of you know that area or have been there. Please keep all these firefighter families in your prayers and the entire town too. This is so sad. Now they say there is another fire over near Payson, AZ . burning badly. We need rain so badly. Just wanted to let you all know. AZ needs your prayers tonight for fires and extreme heat too.
God bless and keep you all safe. Thanks and Hugs, Shirley Mae

Shirley Mae, this is such sad news. I'll be thinking of those fire-fighters and their families, as well as those who have lost their homes.

Shirley Mae just heard this on the news. I will pray for the firefighters and their families. My dad was a fireman for over 20 years so my heart goes out to their department also.
