Good Day to Everyone!!!
As I write this, no one has started the 30th. Today is my 60th BD. I'm in Canada with DH and my 2 wonderful grandkids. Their Mom is doing well, and we are catching fish on Lake of the Woods!! Thank you God.

God Bless all of you!

Good morning Lois, Lyn, and those that follow.
Happy birthday Lyn. Sounds like you are having a wonderful time. We had a blast at the crab house. My sister in-law enjoyed the crabs and that was what we all wanted. She is starting a new life up here with her daughters and grandkids. She has custody of another granddaughter so it is a new start for her too. Today, I plan on getting into my studio and doing some major work on the Quilts of Honor quilt. I am getting it together finally with my work schedule and quilting time. Took me long enough. Yesterday my cousin contacted me on Facebook and asked me if I wanted quilt squares. Apparently a friend of her's has posted n Facebook that she had some to get rid of. I don't know anymore then that. Still waiting to hear back. Have a great day everyone.
Lois - enjoy your time with your DD.

Woot Woot...happy birthday Lyn! Have a fabulous day.

Maryq, you could always got to a quilting retreat. Then you would be forced to sew for the entire time. lol

Lois have fun with your DD today.

Suzette glad you are getting your routine down. I have a friend that went back to work in January, and she hasn't done much sewing since.

Lee, it sounds like you and Judi were at the same quilt show.

Judi, Sharon always wins. The first time I saw her quilts I was amazed. She has an eye for making beautiful quilts.

Work, work, work for me. Work is definitely getting in the way of my quilting time. I'm going to have to retire soon. lol

Have a great day ladies.

Happy Birthday Lyn!!! You have fun with the grandkids today and hope you catch some nice fish.

We just picked up our new RV on Friday and are still working at getting organized. Wow, sure find out fast in a move that you have
accumulated too much stuff.

I still have several boxes to unpack today.

Happy Birthday dear friend. It is great to see you here today.

Happy Day to Lois, Lori, and Suzette and all the others to follow.
Sunday is a great day to just relax and do fun things like sewing.

I can't wait to get some Christmas fabric and make my July Lotto blocks. It looks so easy and fun. Have to get this house organized first and foremost.

Have a Happy Day!

Good Morning, Lyn so good to see you again....Happy Birthday. I slept like a rock and didn't even hear DH get up/ Even the cat went with him insteasd of bugging me. I have a few uglies to do...dust bunny patrol and then I hope to get out in the garden and weed. If IT DOESN"T RAIN AGAIN, if I don't I will need GPS to find my house. I feel for all of you in the heat hope it cools a bit for you. If it decides to rain I will cut out and sew some more Dresden plates and try to design the applique to go with them. I guess I missed a few of you at the quilt show....sorry better planning on my part next time. Lee next time we will meet up.

Well i smell coffee.and will check back later.

Lori Sometimes it is a bit discouraging to see the magnificent quilts that didn't win. and some of the quilts are purely show quilts and design pieces. would never cover anyone to keep them warm. i guess I am not into the competition part of quilting. XXXOOO

We had a WONDERFUL party yesterday for Caleb. What a fun celebration.

I showed off my "not finished Kim's quilt." To some of the ladies and they really liked it. I set a goal to finish it by my birthday (July 14th) So it's going to be a busy time and a push to get in done in the next two weeks.

Church is at Tia and JR's today. So much family time :-) I LOVE it!

Have a wonderful Lord's Day,
Vicky

Good morning!

Lyn - Happy 60th birthday to you! Sounds like your day is already off to a fantastik start. Hope the fish are biting for you today.

Lois - I bet you're glad your DH will be home today. Have fun with your daughter.

Suzette - congrats to your SIL for her new start. I'm sure you'll put a major dent into the QOV today. I hope you get the quilt squares.

Lori - I am retired and I still don't have time! At least my time is mostly my own now. Hope work for you today isn't icky.

Velda - are you LOVING your new RV? Did you post pictures yet? Oh my - I just realized I never logged on yesterday! I'll have to go check out yesterday's posts. Happy house organizing.

Judi - it must rain a whole lot up at your house. Hope you're able to wrangle some of those weeds. Dust bunny patrol - that's a good one! Have fun with whatever your day brings.

Vicky - so glad everyone had fun at the party - congrats again to Caleb. Enjoy the continuation of family time and happy Lord's day to you.

Well I talked to y'all in my head yesterday - I guess that's why I thought I'd posted. D'OH! We went up to the farming district yesterday and got 3.5 lbs of peas - I need to shell and freeze them today. Guess I'll do that after church. We'll have creamed new potatoes with our mahi burgers tonight. Between all of that I need to start to get everything gathered for our trip back east. And get the house back together after having the carpets cleaned. Have a wonderful day! xoxo Sharona

Happy birthday Lyn.. hope it's wonderful.... I am 3 days and 10 years behind you...

I never made it here yesterday, I was trying to get my Christmas swap blocks done.. thankfully I am at a point where I can sew strips together to make the block.. it's easy sailing from here...

took Marilyn and her friend Emma to the swimming pool yesterday, it was so hot... but they cooled off.. I don't swim or wear shorts so I sat in the shade and read my Persian Pickle book.. I'm about half way through... who wants it next?

I decided not to take my vacation this coming week.. a gal who was supposed to be back at work is taking another week with a doctors excuse.. so many are complaining about her to HR and now she's stressed and on leave..but if I don't work the pile I will have when I get back on Monday will be ridiculous.. I am still taking Tuesday to go thrift store shopping and thursday is the holiday...

today is church.. I have a few more blocks and a blouse to iron.. and I am in need of a shower, so I need to move.

I will be starting the calendar swap by the end of the week.. 12 1/2 inch blocks depicting the month you choose, 12 blocks to make by October 1st.. any style you want to make them but no glitter... I hate glitter..lol...I wanted to let you all get a chance first since there are only 12 spots... here is what I have so far...and if you changed your mind let me know... when you get your blocks back if you made them into a calendar you could give it to your secret santa pal...

Mel, pick your month if you still want to do this......

January
February Tina (Gershwin)
March... Maryz
April Jules
May...Carole
June...dforseth Deb
July Chriss
August
September
October... Vinae
November... Scrappy Pat
December MaryQ

well, I need to move my bod... you all have a fabulous day...our weather report says... excessive heat warning till Tuesday at 8pm.... guess it will cool down after that...lol...

Chriss

LYN, happy birthday!!! Sounds like you are celebrating it in grand style - doing what you love and with who you love - and who love you! Have a wonderful, special day and a blessings through your new decade!

LOIS - sorry your part of the vacation is over. But you still have your DD's visit to go!

SUZ - free quilt squares! What a great deal! Glad your SIL's life is looking up.

LORI - When I retired I finally had the time to sew, but the income to buy the fabric was gone! I wish I could find a happy balance.

VELDA - I did go through my Christmas blocks last night and cut some 10" squares. Then, all last night, in my sleep I sewed them! I was tired when I woke up and imagine my disappointment to see my blocks still laying there, not even pressed yet! I am very excited for you with your new rig. I hope you have more storage than your old one!

JUDI - glad you slept so well. You must have tuckered out at the quilt show! Some of those show quilts are truly magnificent, aren't they. I want to enter our little county fair, but i don't care if I win a ribbon (and the way it's going with my entries, that won't be happening!) but I want to just say I Did It.

VICKY - your quilt is awesome! you should be very proud of it! I hope you make your goal.

This morning I have to go to Tacoma to pick up my Bernie at the spa. Her face-plate was peeling. She's only 3 yrs old. The Sew & Vac place tried to tell us that only covered moving parts are covered by our extended warranty. But my DH disagreed and went to Bernina, who agreed with us and now the work is done. Whle there Joann's is close by and Gutterman's thread is 50% off. I'm running low and with a coupon for another 10% at the checkstand it makes it worthwhile to stop in and stock up.

Then my DS and DDIL will be here and we're going to BBQ this afternoon and maybe play some games. It's going to be 88* so we'll be laying kind of low, outside in the shade. It's our Fourth of July.

Have a super weekend!
mary z
