Good morning Grammie and those that follow.
Have fun at the show and we are looking forward to the pictures. We are having company today. My sister in-law and her 2 daughters plus their kids. We are going to eat crabs at the local crab house. She has been having a rough time back home where she grew up. She is the one with the son that was stealing her medicine. So she up and moved back here. My hubby and I want to treat her. I did get out to my studio yesterday but not for as long as I wanted. It started pouring rain and lightening, thunder. The reason I come in is because my neighbor has a tree that more of it hangs over our yard then her's. But, she won't cut it down or even trim it. My studio is under that tree. She is the one we help because she is sick with cancer. So, I guess I can just hope every time we have a storm that nothing happens. Have a great day everyone.

Good morning!
Grammie - enjoy that quilt show! What fun it will be!! We just had one here, but I didn't get to go -
Suzette - my favorite food - a crab feed! One of the things I miss in moving here - watch that tree!
Lois - my kind of day - home to goof off!
Lori - R& R? you mean running and more running with you family there! LOL They will be so much fun!
Izzy - By the way - Welcome! Glad that DH is home and prayers for your friend. Love that baby goat!
Well it was 105 yesterday and going to be hotter today! The only saving grace is that there is no humidity. We still have several more days of weather this hot - until after the Fourth of July.
Sarah and I didn't work in the basement after dinner yesterday - we will this morning. She was tired from working all day and me too!
I found a spray painter for DH - he just needs to go to Lowe's and see if it is one that he wants - I don't know why he is picking it out - I am the one that usually does all the painting!
So not much else going on here - hiding in the house and the basement for the day! It is cool in here - by the way - right now at 7 in the morning it is 93!
Hugs
Jana

Lois....hope you find some sew time.
Lori....have a good day.
Izzy....sorry to hear about your friend. Will surly keep them in my prayers. Blueberries & waffles sound yummy.

Re: Saturday June 29th
Good Morning... Only have a few minutes, need to sew a seam for backing have my batting in the dryer fluffing and need to dress then off to daughter to sew a few hours. I have quilted on the LA in a long time so am going to give it a whirl and hope it doesn't mess up my shoulder.
Maryz.....I have floaters in my eyes too once in awhile and right before I had that eye migraine like a couple days I had floaters really bad they were zooming around like crazy think I had a race track in there or something, then a couple days later is when I had my migraine and it didn't really hurt not like my regular migraines do it was just very scary as I didn't know what was going on it was like I had a Jig saw puzzle in my vision that wasn't quite put together in that I mean the pieces weren't fitting tight then on top of that they were moving around and I couldn't focus I didn't know what was happening. I didn't know if doing all the close work I do or reading the Kindle more than usual was causing it but trust me it was plain scary! Hope I never experience that again.
well friends I hope you all have a great day I am going to scoot out for now may try to get back on later.
Prayers for all.

Good Morning!
JUDI - have fun at the quilt show! Don't buy anything I wouldn't buy!
SuZEETTE - enjoy the crab house. It's not for me, so you can have my share! Have you sent your neighbor a certified letter expressing your concern about that tree - that you fear it's dangerous? Do it. If it falls and does damage to your property or even your SELF, you are responsible for all bills. But if you have sent him/her a certified letter, they are responsible. We have the same sitution here. We've sent two certified letters and also copies to ourselves which we left unopened, in our safe as proof. You have to have the proof. The second time we also cc'd our insurance company and the City of Gig Harbor. And our kids. We also had 3 prfessional tree fallers assess the danger of this tree - it will kill us if we are asleep when it falls - as well as paid for two arborists. We included copies of the arborists' reports in our letter. Our neighbor isn't responding either but our kids will clean up in the lawsuit. Oh, and yes, you can cut anything that hangs over your property as long as you can reach it from your property. You can't go on the neighbor's property unless they give you permission. Believe me, we're researched this to death.
LOIS - Hope you get to sew today.
LORI - that was my dad's favorite saying - "No rest for the wicked". I always wondered why he was leveling his eye at me when he said it!
IZZY - will say some prayers for your friend.
JANA - and everyone else in the extreme heat, stay hydrated! I just can't take heat like that. If you don't have a basement, I think it's time to get one so you can stay somewhat cool.
KATHY - sounds like you have another project to work on today. I'm thinking it would be a good idea for me to break my ankle and have you come stay with me. all my closets really need a good cleanout! lol!!
PAT - so scary about your eyes! Hope that doesn't happen again! Good luck with the LA today. but i suspect it will be like riding a bike - it will all come back, but watch that shoulder!
Do you all remember that I asked for prayers for a second person, named Suzanne, who needed a double lung transplant? Well, I just learned this morning that she got it! She isn't a close friend, but is such a sweetheart, about 67 years old, and is one of those people who enrich the world just by being in it. I haven't heard when she had the surgery or how she's doing, but at least she got it! a few more prayers for her recovery would be grand! Thanks!
Today for me? Work on getting my quilts ready for the fair. A few uglies, and maybe work on my girls' Halloween placemats and table runners.
Hope your day is sew fine!
