Good Morning <

Today is Thursday and it's a work day for me I didn't get much done yesterday Im a little angry because I haven't been getting my magazines subscriptions when I started to call them they told me I should have had them well I call my local post office they told me to call them back and get tracking on them that just got me even more angry well Mccalls and Quiltmaker will send me new coppies Quilt told me that they would credit me for the 2 of their magazines that I was missing.

Well time to get off the venting box I hope Everyone Has A Great Day.

Lois that's a bummer. Someone else must be getting them. We had a mailman that was contantly giving us and everyone else in the neighborhood the wrong mail. They finally moved him after numerous complaints. Hope you start getting your magazines soon.

I just sewed binding on a quilt and I'm sewing it down now. Hope to get it done by today and a label made. Then it's done.

Yesterday my trip out of the house didn't perk me up. This waiting to go to my DD is getting. Gives me too much time thinking about staying in the ex's house. I keep making myself think about the time I'll be spending with DD.

I'm going out again today. My sister & I are going to Yankee Candles semi annual sale & a Lobster roll.

Good morning,,,My quilting student and dear friend will be here in a bit,,I need to get coffee and dedust the basement, I am working on a quilt as you go hexxie quilt and a dress for Sophia.

We had a wonderful time at DGD commencement last night it was sweet. we then went to dinner late and had more fun, Didn't get home till 11 though.

If you ever decide to take up EPP I highly recommend the company "Paper Pieces". They are fun to work with and since we all want our addiction to hexxies to spread. they have graciously offered to supply our guild with sample packs. They give a few little papers and some scraps of fabric to get you to try it and hope you will be hooked...like us, Sinister isn't it. heheheh They will hopefully get to my house before the next meeting.

After my friend leaves I need to make the label for the quilt for a shower gift on sunday. And I need to get a card for them too. If I am lucky my sister got one. Both my DDILs, my DD, and my sis and I will be going to the shower Sunday.

Well I need coffee and of course the cat has that look again.

Lois - how bizzare about your magazines - glad the companies you contacted are doing something for you. Happy work day to you.

Lori - enjoy the sewing o'the binding.

Kathy - I like your idea of focusing on spending time with your daughter. I'll be praying for your time there.

Judi - glad the graduation was so fun, even though you stayed up so late on a school night. Enjoy your time with your student and I sure hope that kitty cat got his breakfast.

Our new laptop finally arrived - yay. We stayed with Windows 7 as we didn't want to buy new software (DH likes to use Microsoft office). So I'll be setting all that stuff up, but before that I get my hairs cut and colored - yay! Tomorrow DGS will be here all day so I need to get ready for that as well. Have a lovely day! xoxo Sharona

Good Morning!

LOIS - I had the same problem - I think it was with McCall's - when I got a gift subscription for a friend. Calls and letters didn't do it. I finally wrote a personal letter to the editor, Beth Hayes. Boy, did I get service then! And an extra year free for my friend!

LORI - Happy binding and labeling! I've got a 2 labels and 1 binding to do, too.

KATHY - Sorry that you have to stay at your ex's house. Would be nicer for you if your DD could come to your place, but that probably isn't practical. what's a lobster roll?

JUDI - Another quilt labeler today. Guess I should get mine done, too, so I can get it in the mail. It's a baby quilt and I found out the name of the baby, but mom says she reserves the right to change it when she meets her new daughter. So I think I'll just go with "Baby Girl Ownes". They'll think that's cute later on. enjoy the shower today. Sounds like it's going to be a real family party!

Today I'm going to make the backing for a my DS & DDIL's Christmas quilt and our Alaskan Quilt. Then DH is going to quilt the AK one. Can't wait for that! It means a few more labels though. I'm falling behind on the labels.

Good morning.. what a great day... I get off early so I can go to the dentist...I have a tooth that broke some time back and I can now have it looked at..

Jerry and Marilyn also have a dentist appt today...it will be like a family outing....

Maryz.. a 40% off sale sounds fun.. glad you're home and your machine is ready to purr...

Cindy.. I bought the flooring yesterday... it is the snap together kind.. our bathroom came out beautiful.. a little brighter yellow than I thought but it's such a happy color...now while they are giving the bathroom a second coat, painting the trim and putting in the floor I need to pick my bedroom color... I like greens...sorry your friend fell... but by the next guild meeting it will all be forgotten....

Lori, don't worry about confusing me about the block.. I am very easily confused and to keep me confused will require no real effort on anyones part...lol...

Lois.. sorry about the magazines... hope they show up soon... I had the same trouble with my post office...

Lois - it's odd that 3 of your magazine subscriptions are missing. Maybe you have a magazine thief or your letter carrier is a quilter and they decided those magazines would be a good read. Sorry you are having so much trouble. I be mighty perturbed if I didn't get my magazines.

Lori - I went to my quilt student's house last night and we worked on her binding. I think she will machine-stitch it down with a decorative stitch. Do you sew yours down by hand?

Kathy - oh, you lucky girl - the Yankee Candle place. Those are the best candles by far. You get the good smell all the way to the very end. I don't use them much anymore since I started using my Lampe Berger. I use them at Christmas and Thanksgiving. Will you be taking handwork to your ex's house? I sure would and I'd keep to myself in my bedroom and work on it if for no other reason than to keep myself from spitting in his face.

Judi - what are you and your quilt student working on? Thanks but no hexxies for me. I swear I think that's the only addiction I don't have. I should stop going to my quilt guild.....the speakers keep inspiring me and I don't have the time!

Sharona - sewing o' the binding - you are funny. I love that term. Have a relaxing time at the salon today and an enjoyable time with your grandson tomorrow.

Last night I went to my student's house and we worked on straightening and squaring the edges of her quilt then we attached the binding. Showed her how to miter the corners and then finishing off the tails. She'll be pressing and gluing her binding down today and will probably go ahead and stitch it down. Then she can wash it. She's planning on taking it to our next guild meeting for show-and-tell. It is a Day and Night quilt. Tonight I'll fix dinner, do a load of laundry, straighten the house for the cleaning lady tomorrow and work on getting my next applique pieces ready.

I hope everyone gets to fondle fabric today.

Maryz - it's amazing what gets taken care of when you write or call the head honcho. I've done that with a dealership service department and also with the Wurstfest - we got free tickets for two years.

Chriss - going to the dentist does NOT make it a great day! LOL I detest going to the dentist. Are we going to get pix of your new bathroom? What color flooring did you pick? I'm thinking of putting a firecracker up Don's butt to get him going on painting. He hates to paint so he thinks up every excuse in the book to keep from doing it.
